Chapter 26 - 026 Found Ginseng

Samuel Smithson led Lucy Sullivan down the small path he often used to enter the forest.

The edge of the forest seemed to be frequently traveled, as the grass here was mostly very short, and there were not many trees. Beneath the trees were various colored wildflowers, red, purple, and yellow.

Lucy was as happy as a butterfly, releasing Samuel's hand and running around excitedly, picking some flowers and digging at the soil.

Samuel followed behind her with a smile on his face, always paying attention to their surroundings.

After a while, Lucy realized that this place must be frequently visited by others since, besides the more valuable plants, there were barely any wild vegetables.

"Samuel, can we go further in?"

Samuel thought Lucy was just curious, and hesitated at her request to go deeper into the forest. The path became more difficult, with taller, denser vegetation and the possibility of snakes lurking in the grass. He didn't really want to take Lucy in there.
