[.... Would you have anything remotely important or less frustrating to talk about.]
'Huh, do I need to have some reason to talk nonsense with you?'
[If you're going to talk nonsense, talk to the voices in your head.]
'Doesn't that include you too?'
[....]
Pfffff, I couldn't resist, he opened the door.
'Okay, as much as I like pestering you, for the time you left me alone here. That's not why I called you.' said to the disembodied voice in my head?
[*Do you really have to be as needy as that?*]
Um, weird I feel like Sys said something, but I'm kind of not sure why that is?
'Anyway, now that they understand how the board works (even if only partially), and I can improve the "table" at the entrance, we can be sure that things will speed up, right?'
[That would be obvious considering everything.]
'Great, which begs the question: would it be possible for me to have my body now?'
[Negative, as I said you must go through stages and complete certain missions to be able to unlock your physical body.]
'Haaaahhhh, I know but what are these missions, it sucks for someone who had a body, to be trapped without a body "confined" in a space within their own solidified soul, I'm sure you understand that right?'
[Not really, I may have been created as part of you, but it would just be a base. I believe I have 20% of its essence, and the rest was made from my creator's essences.]
'Hum good to know.' I said in my mind. 'but in relation to such missions...'
[Continue with your current development and they will eventually be released.]
Tsch, I already knew he would say that but it's still annoyingly frustrating to hear it directly. Since it's been months since the only missions I've had are daily and weekly ones, not even monthly ones, let alone a "main mission".
[If you're done trying to pass the time, it looks like everyone has already finished "watching" the movie.]
Already? This was much quicker than I expected, it shouldn't have taken at least 20 minutes the first time, I feel like it wasn't that long.
[That's because you also kept checking on the other challengers and the state of the "goblin village" while talking to me, this made time go by faster without you noticing.]
Heee, time passes in a very different way for everyone, right?
[('_')]
'Okay I'm going to stop and take things more seriously, especially since our favorite group is finally distributing the light-up points they have after months without anyone having done it before.'
[In fact]
'Do you think they're going to let the light-up sensation get to their heads and make them try to bite off more than they can swallow?'
[It's quite possible, if the decision was just up to Maxuel or Anna, the chances of this happening would be very high. But with Cali and more importantly, Connor who is aware of the danger that lies ahead will stop them from being so careless.]
'I agree, I hope they're okay but I still want them and the others to speed up their raids in the dungeon, since I have an objective with a specific time to finish.' I said opening a special tab on the interface.
[WARNING: Divine Agreement (1)
Description: The God *****, was very pleased with your decision making during the last invasion. As a reward he gave you a divine EX item, Jar of Punishment.
Reward: Jar of Punishment (EX) (Partially Locked)]
This mission had appeared after I expelled the expeditionary force a while ago, where Connor's master was seriously injured, where I killed the mages and killed almost everyone who had appeared. It seems like here gods are very real, and apparently they are also very active too, I have no idea who or what kind of god it was that gave me the Jar, I only know two things:
1. he liked a specific thing I did.
2. He is not exactly an evil god but by the looks of it he is quite severe.
This became clear in the second mission that appeared shortly after.
[EX Mission: Divine Agreement (1)
Description: God ***** was satisfied with your performance, but those mainly responsible for the acts of cruelty during the attack on you are still in the world. The **** god therefore wants you to give them a suitable punishment within 1 year.
Objective: find the order of wizards that the invading wizards belonged to and punish them for the cruel acts they employ on people.
Failure Penalty: Elimination of user's soul
Reward: full unlocking of the Jug of Punishment, appreciation of God ****, recognition of church ******, chance to absorb souls of bad-natured individuals directly.]
Besides the daily and weekly missions, this is the only different mission I have, but it's certainly not the type that involves the "liberation" of my physical body, those would be kind of the main mission, and this one already has the exceptional EX add almost like side-quets, but the punishment is very severe and you can't ignore it, besides being on the good side of a god who seems to have the same moral compass as me. Explaining this would be a bit long, the easiest way is just to see the effects of the Jug of Punishment.
[Item: Jug of Punishment (EX) (Partially Locked)
Features: Indestructible divine item, attached to the user.
Traits: • deserved punishment (ability to set appropriate punishment for evil souls, the suffering felt by them is converted into REP (raw energy points) and DP (dungeon points))
• locked
• locked
• locked
Description: A ceramic jar personally created by God *****, this jar can trap and set the best type of punishment for souls with an evil nature placed inside.]
It gave you an idea of what I did during the expedition, right? By the looks of it, the magicians they had sent were not only of low level in terms of power, but they also had character, just like many of the other members there. The two mages were my main targets but I also ended up with several ***** during that day. And why did I stay with the wizards?
Simple, this world has a system of slavery, which is no surprise, about 90% of worlds with extraordinary energy have systems of slavery, both legal and illegal according to novels, etc., and it is quite common for magicians to have slaves for both common and manual tasks, like laboratory rats. I'm not a saint to say that this is wrong, etc., since it's another world, the moral compass of the inhabitants would hardly be the same as mine, that said, there are certain things that I can't or don't want to accept, like using children under 7 years old, like lab rats like those two ****** were doing!.
And as if that wasn't enough, they also tried them as entertainment for the bored members, letting them beat them until they couldn't take it anymore and either pass out or die when they were used as bait, children. You can understand a little of my anger about this, right! At least those who did this were fortunately a certain minority of the 200 (whose effective number was 170 and the other 30 children and adolescent slaves) I think that around 20 apart from the magicians treated them like this. Still, this didn't help much to appease my anger, especially since in my past life I had abusive parents and younger brothers, you can imagine how I would react in a situation like that, right?
I sent all the monsters I have at them and ordered them to finish them off in the most painful way possible. Unfortunately, several innocent people ended up dying because of this, 120 people including all the child slaves. But I didn't let the magicians who allowed and even encouraged this get away with just dying, no, I used everything I had to be able to trap their souls here, to the point of even running into a deficit with the system because of it. On the other hand, I managed to attract the attention of a god who gave me a place to trap the souls of the two wretches and gave me a goal to follow.
I intend to complete it, in the next 2 months (well partially) on the biggest full moon in this world, this will be the warning sign for an event that all dungeons eventually causes A Stampede!.
