'And after 20 minutes of back and forth everyone may have to stop allocating the points, seriously, generally this shouldn't take more than about 3 minutes at most.'
[This is from the point of view of someone who already has an idea of how RPG-style game systems work. For those who haven't, I think they were pretty quick.]
'If you say so, you can't deny that this delay paid off in the way they distributed the points.'
I said looking at the results of this wait of more than 2 months, strangely today it seemed like it took me longer than those months. Was it because you were very excited to know how they would react to the tomes and the tablet that time followed more slowly? ( ̄ヘ ̄).
Well, that doesn't make any difference, the point is that they did it and now I can say that they are very strong, I think that the 5 are practically in the 3rd degree among the order classification systems. Look at the results:
[Name: Connor Steel (+5)
Level: 8
HP: 27/27 (+1) —> 28
MP: 18/18 —> 20
Strength: 23(19+4) (+1) —> 24
Agility: 26 (18+8) (+2) —> 28
Defense: 14 (9+5) (+1) —> 15
Wisdom: 7
Skills: Sharp Vision, Conceal —> Camouflage (1 MP), Tracking (Basic ll), Hand-to-Hand Combat (General l), Blade Fighting (Basic lll), Archery (General lll), Rapid Shooting (3 MP), Triple Shot(4 MP)]
This is what Cali looked like after distributing and getting an ability from the tomes.
[Name: Cali Vyser (+10)
Level: 4 —>6
HP: 12/14 (+4) —> 18/18
MP: 13/21(+2) —> 23/23
Strength: 21 (16+5) (+3) —> 24
Agility: 19 (15+4)
Defense: 20 (15+5)
Wisdom: 8 (+1) —> 9
Skills: Unarmed Combat (General ll), Armed Impact Combat (Basic ll), Strong Punch (3 MP), Reinforce (3 MP), Concentrate (2 MP), Linguist (Basic ll), Herbalist (Basic 1), Cook (Basic l), New: Jungle Combat (Basic 0)]
I also didn't understand why a ranger would have a higher HP than practically a combat nun, but that's how they adapted then. That's how the Aeter lodged itself in it in the level-ups outside my dungeon and so on until the end. Just a reminder, Connor only increases one level and the other 4 levels increase twice, so he has 5 and she has 10. And continuing:
[Maxuel Irivas (+10)
Level: 3 —> 5
HP: 16/19 (+4) —> 23
MP: 9/14
Strength: 23 (18+6) (+2) —> 25
Agility: 15 (12+3)
Defense: 28 (20+8) (+4) —> 32
Wisdom: 5
Skill: Fencing (Basic ll), Shield Charge (3 MP), Parry (2 MP), Unarmed Combat (Basic 1), Defensive Combat (General 1), Cooking (Basic 0), NEW Blade Fighting (General ll) , NEW Trap Crafting (Basic 0)]
Well, well, I don't remember now if Max had combat with blades but he probably did, otherwise he would barely know how to use a short sword, right?
[Name: Mavak Irivas (+10)
Level: 3 —> 5
HP: 16/16 (+1) — 17
MP: 15/15
Attack: 27 (20+7) (+3) —> 30
Agility: 23 (17+8) (+2) —> 25
Defense: 16 (11+5) (+4) —> 20
Wisdom: 6
Skills: Sword fighting (General lV), Tactical (Basic ll), Unarmed combat (General 0), Swift strike (3 MP), Slash (3 MP), Disarm (Basic lll), Blade fighting (Basic ll —> lll), NEW: Forest combat (Basic 0)]
[Name: Anna Crystalia (+10)
Level: 2 —> 4
HP: 12/12 (+2) —> 14
MP: 14/14 —> 16
Strength: 17 (13+4) (+3) —> 20
Agility: 20 (15+5) (+4) —> 24
Defense: 14 (9+5)
Wisdom: 8 (+1) —> 9
Skills: Throwing (General ll), Quick Attack (3 MP), Coordination (General 1), Unarmed Combat (Basic LV), Commercial Talent (Intermediate 1), Strong Charge (4 MP), New Forest Combat (Basic 0)]
Ok I will be very honest, Anna impressed me, as she basically came from one of the richest families in the kingdom (regardless of whether it was big or small) I was already expecting something like "business acumen", "sensing wealth", "better opportunity " etc, but it's already intermittent in a girl of about 12 or 13 years old, it's quite unexpected, the only ones who have had something intermittent so far have been the wizards, some of the commanders on the expedition and Connor's master, Diem.
[The fact that the only 2 females managed to increase wisdom is also something interesting to note.]
'How so?'
[Unlike the other statuses, wisdom generally does not increase with an addition, as it also influences the flow of Mana, or as they call it Aeter, and the ability to absorb and understand information by altering natural neural pathways, with what they call it of "Ordeal-exclusive energy", the need for this energy to enhance this quality is considerably greater.]
'Bigger by how much exactly?'
[Generally it would be necessary to add 3 points to increase wisdom by 1, and if we consider that the normal thing is to add 5 additional points...]
'The efficiency of increasing this status through points is much lower than the natural increase, through equipment or "potions", right'
[Yes, and that's why the wisdom of the two increasing it like that with just one addition is interesting, either wanting to indicate that they were already on the verge of increasing it naturally or that possibly females have a greater facility to increase this status.]
'Are you going by the idea that men are more "hard-headed" than women?'
[...It is not a hypothesis that should be discarded immediately.]
As a man, or ex-man since I am now just a remnant of a soul in the form of a smoke ghost, I feel considerably offended.

Connor's POV
It's a strange feeling now, things seem so much easier now, the elevations are more comfortable and convenient in the Ordeal and it's even possible to enhance it even further with these crystal tablets with the surplus Aeter that was supposed to be wasted on even more strength. . It makes you think about how things before this came along were so... inefficient and unnecessary.
—Do either of you feel anything different or unexpected? Cali asked.
—Besides the feeling that they could even wipe out an entire group of green demons, even with those mounted? No. — Max said, flexing and looking at his arms, even seeming to see the Aeter current running through his veins, or just admiring the bevels themselves ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not that he was wrong about what he said, I myself feel like we could actually do it, as long as we were careful while doing it.
—Usually I would say you would be exaggerating a lot, but in this case, not so much.— Mav said with her eyes closed and now seeming to feel Aeter in her body.
Anna and Cali weren't so deferential, they increased their wisdom which allowed more fluid control of the Aeter and possibly increased skill capacity, according to what Cali said. But as we weren't sure, they only decided to take the risk, and it seems like it was a gamble that paid off for them. I think next time I will also try to increase my wisdom (Kaio: good luck pal).
—Very well, now what do we do? - asked Anna.
—Considering our current state, I propose following Cali's idea and exploring a little more. — I said, attracting everyone's attention. — Little beyond the hut has been explored since the failed expedition, and if we focus more on reconnaissance and sneaking around well, I think we can find the source of the Aeter flow the mages were talking about when we were here last time.
—Um... Maybe that's a good idea but first let's check our equipment and make sure the return crystals are easily in our hands if necessary. — Cali said
—Good, and how long do we still have in the cabin?
—I'll see.... In about 20 minutes. — Anna said as soon as she returned from the main room.
—20!!! I thought we still had an hour or something!!!
Time tends to pass faster when you rest after an exhausting period of alertness, even though I feel like we've stayed here for a lot longer than normal.
But now the focus is on us gearing up for our final adventure that day in the Ordeal, which honestly felt a lot longer than usual.
