Chapter 23 - Point Distribution and Exploration 1

But either way, this will still take a long time to happen, plus I want to be sure where the headquarters of the order those mages came from is, which isn't very easy when you can't send spies or the like out.

That's why my idea is to create a "small" stampede per month and send monsters to serve as scouts outside and find the most likely place where their order will be and then send a stampede with the intention of exterminating everyone in the place, except slaves. I will try to tell the commanders to spare them, but in a way that makes it seem like they only got away with it by pure luck.

How will I do this?

I still have no idea, but you can be sure it will involve a huge expenditure of energy and dungeon points. That's why I feel a little divided, if it were possible I would even like some half-rotten challengers, the kind who trick someone into using them as a scapegoat and running away to save their own skin, to show up, since that way I could have a party wip without any problems, take the souls, throw them in the jar and use them as drums. However there are 2 main problems in my view with this:

1. IF this happened there is a good chance that the poor guy left behind would end up dead. Since if I were to try to stop the monsters from attacking him specifically, after having massacred the rest of the group, it would be difficult as my monsters would be in a state similar to "feeding frenzy", like sharks when they smell blood. And making them obey me in this state generates more cost than benefit, like I would spend 10 MasP for the monsters to go there, fine they die I get exp, EnBP, MasP and more souls for the jar. However, I would have to spend about 100 of each gain for EACH monster, not to attack the poor guy, that's just the monsters I send would also have those that would be attracted by the smell of blood and I would have to drive them away also increasing the cost (generally ranging from 50 to over 100), ending up with a higher cost than necessary for some souls.

2. If many people know about this "luck" that some end up having, those will definitely appear trying to force this type of reaction to get rid of those they don't like, pretending to be the victim in my dungeon (aka myself) being the ones who are no good, and I would have no way of knowing who would be legitimate and who wouldn't, although I already knew Connor and his master, some of the villagers and a little of this group that Connor himself brought. But if I ended up killing people I shouldn't have and tried to collect their souls, it's very likely that I would receive punishment from the god who gave me the jar, right?

For these reasons, I also feel a bit hesitant about this. Well at least I still have practically a year until the deadline, there's no reason for me to rush with extreme measures like party rip or, flower rip or even a huge stampede to cause unnecessary problems.

Oh, and it looks like the other 4 have finished "watching" the movie and are seeing if they gained new abilities too, Connor increased his camouflage, Max his combat with blades and got a trap maker, Mav also increased his combat with blades and she got forest combat and Anna got forest combat too but other than that, nothing much. Which makes sense since in the film Predator the focus is forest combat, camouflage and traps, I was honestly very surprised when I saw the combat with Max and Mav's blades increase and there is practically no blade fight scene... It's technically at the end There may even be a fight with a blade, but other than that there's just more information on how to use blades and skinned bodies.

....

Well now that they have confirmed the new skills, finally comes another important point in the development of these young people and consequently of all my potential challengers, the distribution of points per level-up. (人 •͈ᴗ•͈).

Connor's POV

I didn't feel anything after the images in my head disappeared, just amazement, respect and astonishment at the fight that the Dutch warrior had against the humanoid creature, if it's already difficult for us to beat some green demons, imagine what would happen to us if we tried to fight against that creature, even more so without these strange long-range explosive weapons, which I started to have a great interest in.

—THAT WAS AWESOME!!! — Max shouted inside the room for a change. — Even though there were several parts where I didn't understand anything they were saying.

—It really was an impressive story, just seeing it on paper is not enough, only after seeing the action they do and hearing things can you really understand how difficult the fight against that creature was. — Mav said as calmly as possible but he spoke very quickly and the sparkle of excitement in his eyes couldn't be hidden, whether it was because of the story or having gained more skills I couldn't say.

—Um hum, well it was impressive, but in the end I couldn't really understand the creature's motives or what it was called, they just called it 'that' or... What was the name that the woman who was with them used? same? — Anna asked, trying to remember.

—Nhan, that doesn't matter, the important thing is the fights, and the explosions, did you see that?!, they were simply too much, I thought only magicians' spells could do things like that in reality?

—In our case, yes, but you forgot that this was just a story that suddenly appeared in the Ordeal telling the story of another world. And honestly you're too excited just for some explosions that you've seen before when they were just pages. — Cali said rolling her eyes.

—Oh, you say that as if you weren't impressed yourself. — Max said with a sideways smile and an accusatory look.

In reaction to this, Cali just turned her head and didn't even respond, an obvious statement that she tells how to remove Max's reason, something very difficult to achieve (even more so for him)

—Huh?!, someone thought something really rude about me just now, didn't they?

—You meant not just now, right? — Mav gave direct rhetoric.

—HEY!!!!

—Okay, okay, as much fun as it is to irritate Max, now we have other matters to take care of. — Anna said seriously and looked at Cali. — You already know what I'm going to ask, so have you discovered anything else about the tablet or the crystal.

—Yes, I understood, in fact I understood both before understanding the tomes. — Cali responded equally seriously. — I think the easiest way is for all of you to put your Aeter on it so you can understand. — she said, handing the board to me who was closest to her.

Trusting my friend again I took a deep breath and sent more of my Aeter into another Ordeal artifact and on the crystal tablet it appeared.
