The whole class began muttering to themselves as they tried to figure out how the spear disintegrated before it could get to Sharon, Renjiro seemed oblivious to everything but he now knew the names of the last duelists, he took that as part of information gathering.
The other duels were not as not as interesting as the first two so most people including Renjiro didn't pay much attention to it, but whenever Renjiro looked towards lyra she seemed to be watching each fight intently.
"No wonder she is so good at combat, violence of any kind interests her" Renjiro thought to himself
There was a loud grunt and someone was thrown out of the circle, it was a girl with bob hair cut she was wrapped with vines that restricted her movement and one of the vine end looked to be stabbing into her mouth, this image sent a rush of blood into this loins, the image was so erotic he couldn't bear it and he began to conjure various perverse images in his head.
"the next pair to step into the circle will be lyra and zephyrus" professor Nerissa announced
Her voice shook Renjiro out of his perverse thoughts, he stood up and jumped into the circle, but when he turned to looked at lyra she was staring at him with obvious anger and disgust.
"How does she always know when I am thinking of something dirty, there is something wrong with this girl" he lampooned
Lyra was disgusted at zephyrus, every time she turned to look at him there was a disgusting perverse look in his eyes.
Renjiro felt a chill in his spine as she looked at him it felt like he was staring death in the eye, he knew he was going to lose but he wasn't going to make it easy for her.
Lyra knew that defeating zephyrus was going to be a task as easy as breathing but for the five minutes they were going to be in that circle she was going to bring him pain, she would pour out all her frustrations on him.
"Begin!!" professor Nerissa instructed and two green whips with spikes at the tip of it appeared on lyra's arm and attacked zephyrus immediately.
Renjiro shrieked in fear and began to run towards the edge of the circle, seeing that lyra meant business he didn't have the heart to continue the fight, he had gotten close to the edge of the edge of the circle when lyra appeared in front of him blocking his chance at escape, flustered Renjiro changed his direction and charged towards the other end of the circle. He felt a sharp pain on his butt and shrieked in agony, a few seconds later he felt another on his back. Professor Nerissa had a smile on her face, she knew what was happening but refused to interfere, Renjiro had always been perverted so she felt like he had it coming.
Lyra whipped him again and this time she nicked him on his cheek, their antics had the whole class in fits of laughter, during pairing every one avoided Renjiro after seeing what his punch did to phinny because they were scared but seeing the scene in front of them, they felt that they were mistaken and what happened in the cafeteria was nothing but a fluke.
"I think I made a mistake and should have shared all my available points evenly among my attributes, rather than adding everything to strength, if he had done that, he would have been able to at least evade some of lyra's attacks. When he watched other duels, they were not this long but his five minutes seemed like eternity to him" he mused bitterly
"Stop moving around and allow me whip you properly" lyra growled
Renjiro couldn't take the punishment anymore and stopped in the middle of the dueling circle and dropped to his knees lyra who was about to deal another blow to him suspended her hand mid strike shocked at his behavior.
"Please stop, I've had enough" Renjiro said with tears in his eyes and began to kowtow before her, the whole class couldn't take this anymore and burst into laughter once again, even professor Nerissa was greatly amused by this and had to smile.
Renjiro was lucky enough that the buzzer went off at that moment, his whole body felt really sore and he felt like he had a few fractured ribs, he got to his feet and limped out of the dueling circle he shot lyra a look of anger before he left.
He had been made a laughing stock in front of the whole class and he knew that by the end of the day the whole school would have heard of it, he didn't exactly have a sterling reputation in school but from what he knew about zephyrus this development would make everything worse.
"Well, I think our class has come to an end for today, we will continue with the duels in the our next class" professor nerissa said and dismissed the class.
Lyra's anger had subsided and she felt bad for humiliating zephyrus in front of the whole class and searched for him so she could apologize but she couldn't find him inside the combat room since she couldn't catch a glimpse of him, she went along with the rest of the students to change out of their uniforms.
When she left the combat room, she saw him limping towards the classroom and ran up to him but he had an unpleasant look on his face as he saw her approaching him.
"that's not the way to the infirmary, let's go get your injuries treated" lyra said with a smile
"I guess you'd be happy after publicly humiliating me" Renjiro replied bitterly
"I am sorry, i was just so caught up in the moment" lyra said in a small voice
Renjiro was silent and let lyra lead him to the infirmary, she kept humming a strange tune and Renjiro became lost in thought.
"you guys are back again" the middle aged woman said with a smile, Renjiro let out a grunt of pain as he sat down on one of the available chairs
"Let me get you something for that" the woman said and disappeared behind a curtain, she returned with the same potion she gave him the last time he was there; he drank everything and he felt as good as new once more.
"Thank you!" lyra said happily as they walked out of the infirmary
