Chapter 20 - The Seven Continents

The whole class began to murmur, everyone seemed to have their own thoughts about the various myths that were associated with the kingdom of askabar, while professor solara tried to calm the class down Renjiro found himself lost in thought again.

From what he knew about this world there were seven continents just like they had on earth and each continent encompassed different kingdoms, the seven continents were vervos, askabar, cosima, flora, jebar, mechmagus and therion. Each continent was ruled by a council of twelve nobles of which the criteria to become a noble was being a legend these nobles were each given a kingdom to preside over it's affairs so the seven continents had 12 kingdoms each, the continent of vervos had a rocky terrain and usually supplied metals and different ores to the rest of the world their ability lied in their inhuman strength, the citizens of this continent were also known as strong men.

The continent of mechmagus are known for their proficiency in creating different machines and weapons, they are responsible for the technological advancement in the world and everything, the kingdom is also one of the hardest to infiltrate considering their technological advancement.

The continent of askabar which is also known as the kingdom of night, this is a continent that is always in a constant state of night there are a lot of myths as to why the continent remains in darkness till this day, the elites of this continent are well versed in the art of assassination, they are the most feared amongst the elites of all the seven other kingdoms. Their major source of revenue is as mercenaries.

The continent of jebar is the largest continent of all, it has a different temperature zones some of which are very extreme, the elites of this continent are exceptional at controlling different elements, they are also known as elementals.

The continent of therion is a deeply forested continent, it has an environment which is very habitatble for wildlife, the elites of this continent are also known as beast kin, they have the ability to control and morph into different animals and insects

The continent of cosima is the smallest in the world it is informally known as the capital of all the other continents, they exist as the task force of the world and keep the rest of the continents in check. The elites of this kingdom possess the power of balance.

The continent of flora, Renjiro chuckled as he thought to himself this was the birth place of the body he had reincarnated into, this continent was known as one of pacifists since there was hardly inter kingdom conflict, but Renjiro had a different opinion about that considering what he had been through in the past week he had been here, the population of this continent was about seventy percent female and thirty percent male, this particular discovery made renjiro very pleased. The elites of this continent had great grasp on the biology of plant life and could manipulate and mutate plants however they liked.

Renjiro also knew of the fact that elites had power rankings which began at beginner and ended at legend, no one had surpassed the legend level yet or knew what came after it, the low level elites were beginner elites and amateur elites, the mid level elites were known as the professionals and the high level elites or masters were elites in the level of superstar and legend, anyone at the level of superstar had a golden badge though most elites at this level hardly displayed their badges, he also felt that the people in this world had a problem with naming things but it wasn't like he could come up with a better name for what they had. Each continent had a god they worshipped but the gods in question almost never showed themselves or responded to prayers bar a few times, from what he knew he felt they did that to remind their followers that they still existed.

He was grateful for the fact that he transmigrated into the body of a noble, so outside the school environment he had a very easy and enjoyable life, he ate whatever he wanted and did whatever he liked with no one to nag at him except lyra, asides the food and the women another thing he greatly enjoyed was the technology, he spent a lot of his free time in the simulation room where he played an RPG like game the only difference was that the gaming arena was simulated but he got to compete and team up with different people and he had made a few virtual friends.

The bell rang and he was shaken from his thoughts, professor solara noticed that renjiro was not paying attention during the course of her lecture which was unlike him but she decided to let it go, she packed up her books and left the classroom, lyra walked to renjiro's seat and sat down on his table.

"I saw you spacing out again, it is quick becoming a habit you never did this before." She said.

"it's nothing, I was probably day dreaming and moreover class has been boring these days" renjiro replied trying to wave away her concerns.

"But that's not the only time you have spaced out, you even do that when I am talking to you" lyra complained

"I am sorry about that; it won't happen anymore" Renjiro knew he had stop spacing out unnecessarily if he didn't want to be suspected.

Renjiro looked towards the side and saw Phineas staring at him, Phineas averted his eyes immediately he was caught, Renjiro ignored him and reclined himself on his chair, lyra having nothing else to say stood up and walked back to her chair, soon enough a group of girls huddled around her table whispering and giggling about something but he paid them no heed, asides the time he spent gaming this world was becoming boring and his life was too patterned.

A crow landed on bastian's office window, the sound of its wings distracted bastian who was trying to move a stack of books to the shelf at the end of his office making him to trip and fall, with a grunt he stood up and dusted himself before heading towards the crow, there was a satchel around the crows neck and in it was a small scroll, bastian took out the scroll and smiled after reading it's content.

"let the games begin" he whispered as the crow flew away.
