Chapter 36 - the beginning of the war

Great mountains formed a valley; through its center flowed a river. Near this river, a large camp was set up, with over a thousand soldiers preparing for the upcoming battle. Morgaina was with her generals inside a tent, devising war strategies. "We're winning the fight; only Merlin stands between us and Camelot's fall, my queen," one of the generals rose and began reporting. Morgaina, seeing this, calmly spoke with her noble tone, "Very well, keep him at bay. Soon, we'll take the kingdom, and Merlin will grovel at my feet, and the Book of Eternity will be in my hands, along with eternal youth." At that moment, someone entered the tent.

It was a soldier reporting that scouts had spotted Merlin and three others. They were walking and would arrive shortly. Morgaina was surprised but quickly cast a spell to view her enemies. When she did, she realized that only the four were in the area. She focused on them, noticing that one wasn't breathing, while the other two had godly auras. Finally, there was Merlin, his demonic aura as usual.

A dangerous group. Merlin had come alone with them, indicating his confidence in the three. She ordered her army to prepare for battle. Soon, she and her generals left the tent, giving orders to the others. They organized for war and moved to intercept the four.

In a field near the valley, an army of thousands stood, including archers, cavalry, and all necessary units, along with war weapons like catapults and crossbows. They formed an unstoppable force of nature. On the other side, there was a quartet of three men and a woman who seemed unafraid.

Morgaina initiated telepathic communication with her old rival Merlin. "So, you've finally decided to come out of your hole, old man." Even through telepathy, Morgaina's disdain for Merlin was apparent.

"Morgaina, I'm giving you one last chance: leave now, lead your army away from Britain, and never return, or all of you will perish here today." Morgaina, having heard this, didn't continue this futile conversation and simply cut off the telepathic link, ending the conversation. Merlin looked at his companions and nodded to signal that no agreement had been reached.

Diana, who was excited, held her sword and shield, ready for battle. Inmo and Franky were calm, neither of them wearing armor except for Diana, who had a few pieces that she claimed were from her homeland and could protect her.

Merlin was in his usual wizard's cloak. They began the plan: Diana and Luffy would infiltrate the army and take them out. Luffy had to kill as many as possible to assist Diana and then go after Morgana. Franky would fly to cover them, and Merlin needed to stay alert to counter any magic Morgaina might attempt against them.

With the plan in place, Diana and Inmo boldly entered the midst of the army. The archers started their moves, blotting out the sunlight, filling the sky with arrows. Inmo and Diana didn't stop running; some arrows hit Inmo, but they didn't even scratch his skin. With their speed, they quickly reached the front row of the army, which had large shields and spears.

Inmo quickly broke through them, disrupting their formation and scattering them. Afterward, a massacre began; the spears couldn't pierce his skin, and with Inmo's strength, he shattered armor and shields like paper. Seeing the cavalry coming, Inmo jumped onto one of them, knocking him down. Then, he grabbed a spear from one of the enemies and impaled him. The rest of the soldiers continued to surround him, trying to overpower him.

On Diana's side, she used her shield to push back and defend against enemy attacks. Her sword easily cut through armor and shields, and body parts flew everywhere. If Inmo was an efficient and meticulous killing machine, Diana was a grinding machine, slaughtering everyone in her path.

While fighting, Diana saw Luffy in action and was impressed. His strength was incredible, and his movements seemed fluid, like a hypnotic dance, with each move symbolizing another death. In those seconds when Diana lowered her guard, she was hit by a spear, but it didn't pierce her skin. She let out a war cry and resumed her killing spree.

Meanwhile, Franky flew and fired missiles, killing numerous enemies.

Morgana, seeing this, attempted to launch various attacks, but Merlin always countered them. Even when she tried to teleport her enemies, Merlin intervened and disrupted the space, canceling the teleportation. Thinking quickly, she used dark magic to enhance her allies' weapons, creating a black aura around the army's weapon blades. Thanks to this, Diana began to get increasingly wounded.

As for Inmo, when he was hit by a spear before it even touched his skin, his body adapted to the magic, preventing him from being harmed so that he could continue killing enemies without taking damage. He was watching what was happening to Diana but wasn't helping, as when he encountered Diana, he could sense four more dormant power sources within her. He hoped she would use this situation to awaken those powers.
