The once-beautiful green grassland that was an ancient battlefield was now stained with blood, bodies scattered everywhere, forming mountains of corpses. The clouds in the sky had started to darken; hours had passed since the combat began. The grand army was dwindling, unable to bring down even one of the four enemies.
Diana began to feel the fatigue of battle, her body riddled with wounds. However, her eyes were clearer than ever, her blood boiling with excitement as her powers began to awaken. The first to manifest were her electric abilities, bolts of lightning started shooting out from her body, both healing her and repelling most of the enemies around her.
Her body was bathed in electricity, granting her increased strength, speed, and an immensely destructive power. With each swing of her sword, a large portion of the battlefield was bathed in lightning, incinerating her foes. With her newfound speed, she moved across the field, leaving only trails of lightning in her wake, harvesting lives like wheat.
Inmo, witnessing this, thought that this Diana was truly distinct from the DC canon. He remembered Diana had fought in World War II, but never in such a ferocious manner. It seemed that this time, the Amazons had crafted her as a genuine god-killing weapon. Ares wouldn't stand a chance against this Diana.
Even amidst this battle, it wasn't sufficient to fully awaken her powers. It seemed she wasn't under enough pressure. However, this war was far from over, as Morgaine made another move. She used dark magic to reanimate the bodies of the fallen, bringing them back to the fight. She also began summoning demons. Merlin, seeing this, started summoning his own demons under his control.
Then another round commenced. Realizing that Inmo was unharmed, Morgaine decided to focus on Diana, targeting the weaker link first. Inmo noticed this but chose not to act; he still had faith in Diana and himself. If Diana were in mortal peril, he'd intervene. With his true power, he could easily save her, despite the exposure it would entail.
On the battlefield, several cracks began to appear on the ground. A grotesque and monstrous hand pierced the soil, and from it emerged a giant demon. Its body was fiery red like fire and blood, with wings on its back and horns on its head. This was one of the first; soon, more of them appeared on the field. Some were taller, some smaller, with various races and grotesque features.
The already chaotic battlefield became even stranger; the sky was entirely covered by dark clouds, with lightning and thunder constantly flashing amidst them. Lava started to flow from the holes where the demons were emerging, and they just kept coming. It seemed that Morgaine had opened the gates of hell.
Even with all this, Diana remained undaunted. In Themyscira, one of the gates to the underworld was present. Periodically, there was a massive wave of monsters and demons escaping from it, and the Amazons were responsible for stopping them. So, Diana was accustomed to dealing with demons, but even though she knew how to fight them, there were still too many against just one person. Diana couldn't defeat multiple enemies at once because the demons could easily defend against her lightning. To kill one of them with her powers, she had to focus her beams on a single point, reducing her attack range.
Inmo was attentively observing Diana; while his own battle was not problematic, his surroundings were filled with enemies. However, he noticed Diana was on the brink of death. His heart raced, ready to save her. But he glimpsed the aura of another awakened god within her, an aura he had known for a long time.
Diana was doing her utmost, but she was about to fall when an enormous red hand, covered in flames, loomed over her head. Her eyes could follow, but her body couldn't. She would likely perish from that attack. However, in that moment, her body heated up, and in a nanosecond, she vanished from her location and reappeared far from the battlefield. Her body was enveloped in a yellow aura. She looked at her hands, realizing this. Then she glanced at the battlefield; everyone was moving in slow motion. She realized her speed was incredibly high.
Excited, she began to decimate the demons, leaving them unable to avoid her. However, as she passed by Luffy, she noticed his eyes were tracking her. She was surprised and stumbled in the midst of the battlefield, rolling on the ground, taking a moment to recover. Now she was covered in blood and dirt. She soon heard laughter and saw Luffy, still laughing at her while fighting his enemies. She spat out some mud that was in her mouth, making Luffy's laughter even louder.
Inmo, who was tracking Diana, noticed that she had awakened the power of Hermes. Her speed likely only fell short of a speed force user. Realizing this battle finally made sense, he prepared to end this war. He identified Morgaina's location and started walking toward her. Along the way, many enemies tried to stop him, but he quickly dispatched them.
Morgana, situated at the farthest point of the field, noticed Inmo moving toward her. She ordered her army to kill him, but nothing worked. She then used her control over the earth to create giant creatures made of rocks and soil. However, they didn't last a minute. Inmo jumped and passed through their bodies, destroying their structures, dismantling them.
Several demons and undead soldiers clung to him, grabbing his neck, hands, and feet, trying to hold him in place. However, he continued moving, dragging these figures attempting to stop him. Even giant demons were dragged along the ground while trying to halt him.
When he reached Morgaine and grabbed her by the neck, lifting her, she, in desperation, seized Inmo's arm and began using her power of decay. It used time to age her enemies so rapidly that they turned to dust. The more magic she used, the more frightened she became. Inmo, however, remained unchanged, even after thousands of years. Demons and undead clinging to him began turning to dust, carried away by the wind. "What kind of monster are you?" Morgaina used her last strength to ask, but no response came. Inmo squeezed her neck a little harder, breaking it easily.
Afterward, it was easy. Merlin joined the fight, and with Diana and Franky, they quickly finished off the remaining army of undead and demons.
