Chapter 13 - Chapter 12

"Yes, yes I know John. Give that case to Mike, he will handle it perfectly." I said as I climbed down the stairs while discussing the work with John on the phone.

After having dinner together, Grace messaged me saying she wanted to talk about something important so she called me near the swimming pool.

"There she is," Grace said as soon as she saw me. Aiden was sitting next to her scrolling on his phone.

"Okay, text me when it is done," I said and ended the call with John.

"What is it?" I asked, sitting down, dangling my legs in the pool.

"So, I spoke to Aiden about Ian." Grace started

"And?" I asked

"Aiden!" Grace shouted

"Yes," he said while they exchanged some looks and he kept his phone aside. I laughed at how much hold Grace had on Aiden.

"So, I spoke to Aiden about Ian and…" she started and gestured for Aiden to continue.

"And I think something happened on the day of your breakup. Liam was with Ian that day." He said, looking at me with a frown.

"So, you think something happened between them which is connected with our breakup?" I asked cautiously.

"Partially yes, I think the reason for his anger on the night was Ian," Aiden said slowly to which I narrowed my eyes thinking.

"I think we need to talk to Liam about this" Grace suggested

"No," I said immediately.

"Why?"

"Because it doesn't matter now Grace," I said, massaging my forehead.

"Oh! sure it does Ava, it does matter. It matters to you and it matters to Liam and it sure does matter to us too."

"Hey, calm down baby," Aiden said, holding her hand and trying to calm her.

"How can I just calm down Aiden when I got to know that one of our best friends is somewhere the reason for their break up? Tell me?"

"I know, I understand. They are my best friends too. But you need to calm down, we are not sure about anything yet. We will solve this together." He nodded his head.

"I think I should talk to Liam about this," Aiden suggested

"I don't think that will affect anything," I said huffing.

"Why?" Grace asked and I gestured my hand to the corner of the garden where Liam and Nina were sitting next to each other talking and laughing.

I don't know why but it hurts. Seeing him happy with another girl felt a pang of pain in my heart.

"Oh god," Grace muttered and hugged me.

I know I have no right to be jealous and angry over such things but I did.

"I… I am sleepy. We will talk tomorrow, okay? Good night." Giving both of them a hug I went to my room. Within seconds my eyes were wet.

Maybe because I went on a not-a-date date with Ian, he is doing this. Or maybe not.
