Chereads / Redamancy - When It's Meant To Be / Chapter 17 - Chapter 16

Chapter 17 - Chapter 16

"Guys, today we have planned to go hiking," Aiden announced and everyone cheered up.

"Be ready after lunch everyone and we are going to stay the night in tents at the same spot. Tomorrow morning after sunrise we will come back to the resort!" Grace continued and winked at me and I smiled in return.

We planned all this in the morning before breakfast. We planned it because that is the exact place where Liam and I shared our feelings for each other and kissed for the first time.

When I looked at Liam, I saw he was already looking at me and I knew he too remembered everything. I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. When I turned around, I saw Ian.

"You excited?" he asked

"Yeah" I simply answered

"You remember Grace, Aiden, me, you, and Liam went there in our senior year?" he asked me. It was the second time I went there with everyone.

"Yes, I do. It was fun." I said with a smile.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw Liam and Nina talking which made me a little sad, okay I mean which made me jealous.

"Excuse me," I said and left from there.

"Ava, can I ask you something?" Grace asked me as we both sat on my bed drinking our drinks. Me with my coffee and Grace with her green tree.

"Go ahead."

"What are you exactly trying to do?" Grace asked me

"I just want us back, Grace. Four years ago, I made a selfish decision and now I want to make it right." I said, biting my lip.

"But does he want to make it right?" she asked, giving pressure on 'he'.

"That's the first step darling. I need to know what he thinks about us now." I said, sipping my coffee.

"Alright, I will be the happiest person on this planet if you two get back together." She said with a grin and exchanging smiles, we went for our lunch.

After having our lunch, we all packed our bags and went hiking. As soon as we reached our point I smiled widely. Even after so many years, it's the same beautiful evening view.

"Okay guys, it's time for tent-making!"

Everyone started building their tents but as usual, I was having difficulty in it. Even after so many people taught me so many times, my dumb mind doesn't seem to register.

"Need some help?" Liam asked me.

"Well yes, it seems like it," I said and he smiled at me.

"What?" I asked

"You will never learn how to make a tent, will you?" he asked me with a small grin.

"Oh, don't underestimate me. I never tried hard otherwise I would have learned it way before."

"Like you, don't try hard when we all come here for the first time. You almost wasted two hours trying to figure out how to make it." He said and I understood his attempt to taunt me as mischievousness was clear in his eyes.

Taking a deep breath, I said "Yeah, well it happens sometimes. Some things are not for you." I said with a shrug and a cute disappointed pout.

He laughed seeing my reaction and I stood there stunned. I heard him laugh after so many years. It warmed my heart.

"What?" he asked me looking at my surprised reaction.

"You laughed. I just…I missed your laugh." I said gulping audibly. As soon as I said that he just nodded. Then, without saying another word he completed making my tent and left.
