Racing through the alley, his eyes scrowled around to find her but that felt almost impossible.
He tried reaching out to her but it wasn't going through. Wales couldn't afford to lose the only soul that would be of help.
Stranded, he pauses at a crosswalk, scruntizing the place. There he saw her. She had a frown on her face intending to cross over.
Her hands were in her pockets, reminiscing over what happened at Wales home.
She had a feeling Mrs Miranda doesn't like her either as an in-law but just a helper.
Seriously, when would people begin to value her? The thought of that gives her a spitting headache and she just wishes to vanish home.
She was backing him and counting her steps.
Wales heaves a sigh as she seems unhurt. His emotions must have taken over him.
What was he thinking? That he was Superman saving ingrates like her? Besides, she was rude from the first day they met.
He cusses at himself and shoved his gaze from her. Wales had to calm his heartbeat which he was trying to get used to.
Almost immediately, a loud scream was heard from the crowd opposite him.
It was a truck which had lost control and was heading towards the subconscious Lisa.
She was glued to the spot as everything was happening fast. There was no way to save her either as no one desire to risk their lives.
All they could do was scream because the truck would crush her definitely.
A lot had ran through her mind as she thought death was inevitable for her.
Giving up, she shut her eyes waiting to feel the crushing pain coursing around her body again.
However, something unexpectedly happened. She spur her eyes open and realized everything had paused.
If she was not mistaken, out of the blue, someone pulled her out of the way and everything returned to normal.
The truck crashed on an overhead bridge and got stucked there.
Lisa felt her head ram on wale's chest, his arms around her waist and cold chills ran through her.
"Tyler?" She muttered and he quickly pulled her away, flinching.
Her heartbeat had ceased at the sight of him as everything felt like a dream. She inhaled deeply and took a glimpse behind her.
Her eyes observed that the place had been crowded with curious people and some road warders had appeared to take control of the situation.
He seems surprised that he gained a part of his power back! It was baffling as he gazes at his hands, mute.
He could now pause time because of her. It could only mean one thing.
His eyes stared at her and her cheeks flushes red, embarrassed and mindless.
"You saved me" she pressed on like he was a superhero. Her eyes had that spark of hope and it made Wales smirk.
Her eyes demanded an explanation on how he was at the crossroad which was an hour drive from his place.
Wales quickly covered up that he was sightseeing the place for a business arena.
Lisa nodded with a bite of doubt as it took a while to calm down. She shook her head to get rid of the thought that time stopped.
She gave him a sided smile and appreciated him, forgetting the fact that they still had their little fight.
"Would you mind having a cup of coffee with me? It's an appreciation" she squeezed between her teeth knowing that he would refuse.
Her heart prays he does.
"Coffee?" He asked ducking his head at her and she nodded.

A scoff left Rodger's lips as he stared at these two from a distance. He had just arrived at the place where one of his spies claim to have spotted the so called tyler.
Rodger had wanted to confirm if truly he was alive and his eyes weren't deceiving.
However, he missed the part where he rescued Lisa. He rolled his eyes at his feet.
He had an ear pod on his left ear and seem to be communicating with someone.
"I think our little pain in the neck is having fun" he mutters and took a glimpse at his watch.
A soft sigh left his lips as he strides towards his jeep parked at a corner.
"It would be too soon to murder him after his resurrection, why don't we play some tricks with him?" The caller responded and they both chuckled on the phone.
"I heard he and his mother have an ill-fated relationship, why don't we start from there?" Rodger suggested as his chauffeur opened the back wheel for him to take his seat.
Soon, he terminated the call and let out a silent hiss.
"I can't wait to crumble you again" he concluded.

Her mouth was agape as she watch him slurp mugs of coffee non-stop. She could tell he loved it.
Luckily, he would be paying for the extra because the bill was sumptuous.
Here she was with him, at a close by cafe, the scene of earlier enveloped her head and she owes him her life.
It wasn't quite rowdy here and she loved the serenity, coupled with the soul lifting songs that played.
They haven't spoken to each other and she decided to light up the moment.
"You're a coffee freak right?" Lisa muttered feeling awkward around him and he hums while dropping the mug.
"Maybe"
She tried not to laugh as his mouth had stain from the coffee. Her fingers indicated that he should wipe it off.
"What more beverages are there to try?" He asked intending to bring out his card to signify that he had all expenses covered.
Lisa scoffed as he hadn't revealed such a funny side of his. All she heard of him was being cold, nasty and cruel but he was quite different and calm.
She threw her eyes to the counter and suddenly gasped. Wales who had noticed her shocked postured asked what the problem was.
Lisa whispered;
"I sense a ghost around"
Her words made the coffee pour on him and he shudders. Quickly he reach out for a hankie to wipe it off.
Meanwhile, Damian who was roaming around caught sight of a beautiful lady. He had followed her down to this coffee cafe.
Shockingly, he found Lisa and Wales here and decided to say hi but then he remembers that Lisa might disperse him if he comes closer.
Annoyingly, he grumbles to himself that all he does was cover up mess and Wales was living the best of his life.
While he was behind this lady, Lisa spotted him just as a dark shadow lurking around this woman.
To Wales, he had thought she had discovered him and his hands began to shake.
"Oops, sorry about that" Lisa beckons and rose up to help him wipe the stain.
He was breathing hard as he wipe off the coffee, nervously.
"No! I don't need your help" He ordered and she was startled while sitting back.
She resumed her words as his reaction was so uncalled for.
"That lady at the counter, she's an old ghost"
When Damian heard that, he cringes and took a glimpse at himself. He wasn't an ordinary ghost but a soul gripper.
That meant she wouldn't be able to see his full form but only as shadow, something was definitely wrong.
"I'm a juvenile" he snapped as though she could hear him. He resumed his lurching eyes on the young lady who was attended to.
Wales threw his eyes at the lady only to find Damian there.
"He's a juvenile" Wales corrected without realizing what he just said.
"No, it's an old ghost in form..."
"So what exactly? Are we going to disperse the ghost in daylight?"
"We would trail after her"
Wales shrugged his shoulders as he was certain Damian would have vanished before she gets a hold of him.
This lady was done buying the take-out coffee and moves out of this place.
Lisa beckons on wales that it was time to move but he gave her no response.
Wales was still busy grumbling over his expensive shirt that got stained when Lisa quickly held his hand and began a race with him.
Not again, does he have to always race with her. They got outside and she flung his hand away while concentrating on her prey.
Wales gulps as he trying so hard to keep calm. He hates when humans hold him or be in control rather than him.
"We would lure her to a corner" she points hurriedly trying to catch up with the young lady.
Wales narrowed his gaze at her and shook his head. He couldn't find Damian anywhere so what ghost was she seeing.
"He's gone" he proudly declares.
Lisa groaned at him as he was frustrating her efforts. It was best he keeps silent and learn from an expert like herself.
"No, she's not! Stand and watch!" She barked storming ahead of him like a whirlwind that she gave him chills.
As though she always carry a sliver lining, she brought it out of her mini-purse and slammed the same empty purse on his chest.
"Fuck! Seriously?" He complains wishing he could dump the purse but held it for her.
