(Marvel, DC, images, manhuas, and every anime that will be mentioned and used in this story are not mine. They all belong to their respective owners. The main character "Karito Josue Valdez" and the story are mine)

As Karito's Spider-senses went berserk, his instincts kicked in and he swiftly shoved David to the front of the Batmobile, pushing him away from harm. A monstrous hand burst through the roof of the car, snatching Karito by the face and yanking him out with brutal force. The Green Goblin thought to have vanished into obscurity, had returned with a vengeance, catching Karito off-guard. The sudden reappearance of this formidable foe sent chills down Karito's spine, as he realized the gravity of the situation.

The Green Goblin cackled manically as he soared through the sky on his glider, with Karito in his clutches. They arrived at a desolate building in the Badlands in the blink of an eye, leaving Karito reeling from the sheer speed of the Goblin's flight. Karito wasted no time in suiting up in his symbiote armor, but it wasn't quick enough as he crash through a window. He tried to web swing out of the building, but the momentum he was moving disoriented him, causing him to crash through yet another glass wall, adding to his injuries.

Karito's mind raced as he struggled to recover from the surprise attack. The Green Goblin's return had caught him off-guard, and he now found himself in a dire situation, alone and wounded in an abandoned building.

(David) On Coms "Karito, are you okay?!"

(Rebecca) On coms "What the hell just happened I thought everything was done!"

(Spider-Man) "Y-Yeah, damn... I forgot about him... how the fuck did I forget about him." Gets on his knees "I literally knew about him a few hours ago and then I just suddenly forgot? That's not weird at all... I can't catch a fucking break..."

(Dark Green Goblin) "Catch this! A grenade equal to a nuke!"

Spider-Man's keen senses alerted him to the source of the voice, and he swiftly turned his head towards the origin, only to catch a glimpse of a pumpkin bomb hurtling towards him. With reflexes honed by years of crime-fighting, he attempted to raise his guard, but the bomb detonated with devastating force right in front of him, sending shockwaves through the air. The explosive blast propelled him backwards, his body hurtling through the air until he crashed through a solid brick wall on the opposite side of the building. The impact was jarring, and as he landed amidst the debris, he clutched his face in agonizing pain, struggling to catch his breath. The acrid smoke from the explosion stung his nostrils, and he fought to clear his head and regain his bearings.

The Green Goblin descended gracefully, his glider coming to a smooth halt as he alighted in front of Spider-Man with an air of disdainful superiority. The villain's eyes gleamed with malevolent glee as he looked down at the fallen hero, a smug grin spreading across his face. The faint light of the moon illuminated the twisted contours of the Green Goblin's mask, casting an eerie shadow over his sinister features.

(Dark Green Goblin) "Misery, misery, misery... that's what you've chosen. I offered you friendship and you spat in my face."

The Green Goblin's fist connected with Spider-Man's jaw with a resounding crack, sending the hero tumbling across the floor until he crashed into a solid brick wall. Pain shot through his body as he pushed aside the debris, his jaw hanging loosely from the force of the blow. With a quick surge of symbiote energy, the dislocated jaw snapped back into place, but Spider-Man's anger was palpable. His fists crackled with electric energy as he glared at the Green Goblin, his resolve hardening as he prepared for the next round of their battle.

With masterful agility, the hero employed his hyper sense, creating fleeting after-images of himself that left the Green Goblin bewildered. In a swift maneuver, Spider-Man tackled the villain against a wall, unleashing a barrage of powerful body blows that reverberated through the air, creating small shockwaves with each impact. The Green Goblin gritted his teeth, enduring the onslaught, and countered with a spinning elbow strike that struck the hero squarely in the temple, causing him to stumble to the side.

Undeterred, the hero stomped his foot on the ground, shattering the floor, and employed an accelerated decoy technique to lure the Goblin into attacking a fake image. Seizing the advantage, Spider-Man swiftly moved behind his opponent, wrapping his arms around the villain's waist and executing a flawless German Suplex that shattered a nearby table and left a deep crater upon impact. The Green Goblin crumpled to the ground, clutching the back of his head in pain.

However, the villain's resilience was not to be underestimated. He quickly grabbed a piece of brick and smashed it against the hero's face, causing Spider-Man to stagger and lean against the wall for support, his head throbbing from the blow.

(Spider-Man) Spits blood "What's the matter Goblin...? Dirt got your Lobotomy scars flaring up again?"

(Dark Green Goblin) "You Spider-Men always are a bunch of insolent little whelp, Guardian. Full of vim and vigor. But you never quite had the comedic timing. So, let's see if you a thing or two about punchlines from an old pro: When I leave here, late in the morning, I need to make just one phone call and everyone you knew in this dimension will be dead within seconds. Following that, your other friends from the MCU and Lycoris Recoils as well. There's your comedy routine right back atcha, Guardian!"

(Spider-Man) "FUCK YOU!"

As the hero's feet crackled with electric energy, he utilized his lateral repulsion technique, a hallmark of his advanced combat training. In a blur of agility, Spider-Man appeared beside the Green Goblin, his movements almost too fast for the naked eye to follow. With expert precision, he swiftly ensnared the villain in electrified webs, crackling with raw power.

The Green Goblin, caught off-guard, struggled in vain against the webbing as the electric current surged through his body, causing him to convulse and writhe in agony. With a display of superhuman strength, Spider-Man effortlessly spun the villain around, building up momentum before hurling him through a room filled with volatile chemicals, the air thick with toxic fumes.

The sound of crashing glass and splintering wood echoed through the room as the Green Goblin's body collided with the various containers, causing a chain reaction of explosions and releasing a cloud of noxious gas. Spider-Man watched from a safe distance, his keen senses alert for any signs of movement amidst the chaos.

(Spider-Man) "NEVER! You hear me, you maniac?! I'll never let you hurt them... Not while I'm still standing!"

Spider-Man's keen reflexes allowed him to narrowly dodge the glass container hurtling towards him, but as he turned to face the Green Goblin, he was met with a vicious attack. The villain smashed an acid container against Spider-Man's face, the corrosive liquid searing through his mask and skin, causing him to cry out in agony. The pain was unbearable as he stumbled back, desperately trying to wipe away the acid that was eating away at his flesh. With his vision blurred and his face searing with pain, Spider-Man was caught off-guard as the Green Goblin delivered a powerful front kick that sent him crashing into a nearby wall, leaving him gasping for breath and struggling to regain his footing. The stench of burnt flesh and the acrid smell of acid filled the air, intensifying the sense of danger and desperation in the midst of the battle.

(Spider-Man) "NGHAAAAA!!! YOU FUCK!!!" Toxin quickly heals his face

(Dark Green Goblin) "...Well, that touched a nerve, I see. Didn't it occur to you that there must be a reason why my lackeys are so conspicuous by their absence in this dimension? There's not one of my people near the City. Do you want to know why? At this very moment, I have operatives strategically placed around the dimension with very specific orders to murder all of the people you hold dear. Only one of us can leave here today. If it's me, your friend list will burn to the ground. If you kill me, your nearest and dearest get to live another day."

(Spider-Man) "You're fucking bluffing!"

(Dark Green Goblin) "Do you think someone of my caliber wouldn't?"

(Spider-Man) "YOU WOULDN'T!"

Spider-Man, in a flurry of uncontrolled rage, lunged towards Green Goblin with reckless abandon. However, the cunning villain sidestepped with calculated precision, effortlessly evading the hero's attack. In a swift countermove, Green Goblin seized the back of Spider-Man's head with a vice-like grip and mercilessly slammed his face repeatedly against a solid steel beam with calculated brutality, each impact resonating through the air with bone-crunching force. The hero's mask cracked, blood oozing from his broken nose and split lips, as the steel beam finally gave way under the relentless assault, leaving Spider-Man dazed and disoriented, his senses reeling from the brutal onslaught. Despite his superhuman resilience, he struggled to maintain his footing, swaying precariously on unsteady legs, his vision blurred and his body throbbing with searing pain. Green Goblin stood back, a twisted grin playing on his lips, relishing the sight of the fallen hero, taunting him with a malicious glint in his eyes, a master of psychological warfare, reveling in his cruel tactic.

(Dark Green Goblin) Drags Spider-Man by the hair "Y'know, I'd hoped you were better than this, Guardian. Any fools can be blinded by anger, but it takes real talent to understand how to focus it." Stops in front of a large chemical container "I'd hope by making you angry I'd get to see a more valuable side of you. One worthy for the Darks." Shoves Spider-Man's face into the chemical container

(Spider-Man) Starts charging for a Mega Venom Blast

(Dark Green Goblin) "I don't think so." Snaps his fingers and blocks the skill

(Spider-Man) Drowning and struggling

(Dark Green Goblin) "I guess hatred just isn't your strong suit, hmm? You lack the patience to focus it even for a moment... Not even to protect the ones you love." Spider-Man stops struggling and goes limp

Karito Pov

I hear his voice above the surface, but it seems so far away now. It's like circus music, playing backward. He's right... I've always seemed to majorly fuck up from time to time. I killed those children... Yelena... I've failed so many...

Sasha...

No...

NO!

NO!!!!

As I burst out of the chemical container, my senses heightened and my eyes locked onto Green Goblin. With a surge of energy coursing through my body, I rise to my feet, my gaze fixed on the villain who seemed taken aback by my sudden emergence. He turns towards me with a puzzled expression, unable to comprehend how I managed to break free from his trap. My resolve hardens as I prepare to face off against him, my mind focused and my body primed for battle. I can feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins as I take a step forward, my senses keenly attuned to every movement around me.

(Dark Green Goblin) "What?! You can't be-!"

(Spider-Man) "Can't be what?! Still alive? Or even more determined to kick your green, warty ass than I was a minute ago?" Cough "And there I was thinking you were an intelligent guy. HAAA!"

With calculated precision, I tapped into my hacking skills, forming a small portal in front of me. My fist shot through the portal, disappearing from sight. In an instant, another portal materialized behind Green Goblin, and with the full force of a Venom Punch, my charged fist found its mark, sending the villain hurtling to the ground, the impact reverberating through the air.

I wasted no time, webbing nearby debris and swiftly forming a makeshift wrecking ball. With a fierce swing, I smashed it into Green Goblin, burying him under the rubble. My muscles coiled with tension as I charged a venom blast, electricity crackling at my fingertips. With a resolute scream, I released the blast, unleashing destruction in its wake as debris flew in the direction I faced, reduced to dust by the sheer force of my power.

As the dust settled, I approached the motionless form of Green Goblin, his unconscious body sprawled on the ground. A primal rage surged through me, fueled by the injuries he had inflicted upon me and those I cared about. I grabbed him by the head, my knuckles dripping with blood, and delivered a relentless barrage of blows, each strike carrying the weight of my anger and determination. The once formidable villain was now at my mercy, as I unleashed my fury upon him, leaving nothing but the echoes of my relentless assault reverberating through the air. The tension in the air palpable as the scene unfolded in a display of raw power and unyielding resolve.

(Spider-Man) Stops "That was a pretty twisted idea you had there, Norman. To make me angry enough that I'd end this thing between us once and for all, huh? Well, Tinkerbell, maybe wishes do come true." Raises his fist with a death blow

s my heightened senses alert me to the impending danger, I quickly react, weaving a web shield with precision and speed. The blades of Green Goblin's glider strike the web, creating a brief but intense burst of energy as I'm forcefully pushed back. I quickly regain my footing, my mind racing with strategies to counter the unpredictable villain.

I watch as Green Goblin scrambles to his feet, a palpable sense of panic evident in his movements. He sprints towards his glider, desperate to escape the dire situation he finds himself in. I can see the determination in his eyes as he reaches for his last hope of retreat, his mind surely racing with thoughts of revenge and survival.

With a calculated leap, I close the distance between us, my agility and speed propelling me towards the villain with precision.

(Dark Green Goblin) "G-Get away from me! You're insane!

With precision and agility, I swiftly extend my arm, reaching for the Green Goblin's leg with a calculated venom strike. The electric surge courses through his body, causing him to cry out in agony.

(Dark Green Goblin) "NO! GET OFF ME! NGHAAAA!" Frantically moves his legs "GET OFF!"

(Spider-Man) Gets kicked in the face and falls on his back to the ground "ACK!"

(Dark Green Goblin) "HA HA! HEHH! Gotta fly, Spider-Man! Places to go, people to see! I'll be in touch when your people are all in cold storage. Ciao, for now, Big Boy!" Sees a portal appear in front of him "Huh?"

With a calculated display of my superhuman strength, I seized the Green Goblin's face in my hand, feeling the familiar weight of the villain's mask. Summoning every ounce of power within me, I slammed his face against the unforgiving ground with a resounding force. The floor itself seemed to respond to the impact, distorting and twisting upward in protest, while the Green Goblin's body hung limply, subdued once again by my relentless onslaught.

(Dark Green Goblin) "Ehh... Uhh... Oh, God... My skull..." Spider-Man kicks him in the rubs shattering his bones "UGH!"

(Spider-Man) Prepares for a ground and pound "You know the trouble wit, you pal?" BOOM "You always thought you were funnier than us Spider-Men." BOOM "But you never were." SPLAT

(Dark Green Goblin) "Go ahead, son... Do it. You know you want to..."

(Spider-Man) "Yeah. You're existence fucking disgust me."

With calculated precision, I flung Green Goblin's body against the wall, the force causing cracks to spiderweb across its surface. Without wasting a moment, I seized his glider with my webbing, and with a swift motion, sent it hurtling towards him. The glider's razor-sharp blades impaled his chest, eliciting a blood-curdling scream from the villain. As the light faded from his eyes, he hung suspended on the wall, life extinguished.

So do the proud men die: Crucified not in a cross of gold. But in a stake of humble tin.

I look at the hanging corpse of the Green Goblin as I activated my hacking skill. A string of darkness extended from his body but it was fading away. The Darkness was losing its influence over this dimension. To extinguish it, I extended my hand and burned the last remaining string of darkness that invaded this world. It was over and this world was saved from these omniversal beings that threatened its narrative.

Taking a deep breath, I exited the building and looked around at the familiar wasteland of the Badlands. For 21 long years, I have been on this mission, fighting against interdimensional threats that threatened the very fabric of reality. It was a long, hard-fought battle, but it was worth it.

As I fast-traveled towards David and the rest of the crew, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction wash over me. We had accomplished something incredible together, something that would never be forgotten.

The group approached me, relief etched on their faces. They asked about my well-being and I assured them that I was fine. I went on to explain that now, everyone in this world was safe and that no more forces of evil from other multiverses would invade. This world would run as intended, with a few changes made to the original timeline.

Looking up at the sky, I felt a sense of freedom wash over me. The skies were clear, no longer obscured by the chaotic energy of the omniversal beings. The sun shone down, a symbol of hope and renewal.

But even as I celebrated our victory, I knew that the work was not yet done. There were other worlds out there, other threats that needed to be dealt with. I was ready for the next adventure, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

But for now, I was content to bask at the moment, to enjoy the peace and tranquility that had finally been restored to this world. It was a satisfying end to a long journey, a journey that had tested us in ways we could never have imagined. And it was a journey that we had all come out of stronger, wiser, and ready for whatever came next.

One Year Later

Cyberpunk 2077

As the days went by without any sign of trouble, I found myself enjoying a newfound sense of peace and normalcy in my life. Rebecca and I had moved in together and were living our lives as a happy couple. We spent our days exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and simply enjoying each other's company. It was a welcome change from the chaos and danger that had consumed my life for the past year.

One morning, as I was making breakfast, my phone buzzed with a message from David. I smiled as I saw the picture of him and Lucy on the moon, living their best lives. It was a relief to know that my little brother was finally free from the hardships and danger that had plagued our family for so long. I couldn't be more proud of him.

Rebecca walked into the kitchen, giving me a quick kiss on the cheek as she did. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of her. She had been my rock throughout the entire mission, supporting me and giving me the strength to carry on. I was grateful for her every day.

Together, we ate breakfast and laughed about old memories. We talked about the future, and the possibilities that lay ahead. It was a bright and promising future, one that I was excited to share with Rebecca. As we got ready to leave our penthouse, I felt a sense of contentment wash over me. The mission was finally over, and I had found something worth fighting for along the way.

(Rebecca) "Ready to head out, Kari?"

(Karito) "Mhm. Where do you wanna go today?"

(Rebecca) "There's this hidden grill and bar on the south of Night City. Some of my friends recommend it, wanna go there?"

(Karito) "You know I eat anything that's placed on the table."

(Rebecca) "Oh trust me. I personally know~." Seductive tone

(Karito) "We gonna have this conversation again?"

(Rebecca) "Pfff, I'm messing with you~." Sticks her tongue out and peeks at what Karito was staring at on his phone "Those two are adorable, I'm happy for them."

(Karito) "Yeah, I couldn't be more proud of him." Places the picture on his nightstand and it holographically showcases "Let's go shall we?" Extends his hand

(Rebecca) Interlocks hands with Karito "Let's go!"

As we exit the penthouse with our hands interlocked, I take in the stunning view of the city from the glass walls of the elevator. The sun is shining bright and the city is bustling with life. It's hard to believe that just a year ago, this city was on the brink of destruction. But now, thanks to our efforts, it is thriving once again.

Rebecca leans into me, her head resting on my shoulder, and I can't help but smile. We've been through so much together, and now we get to enjoy the peace and happiness we fought for. As the elevator doors open, we step out onto the street and I feel a sense of accomplishment wash over me.

As we walk down the busy sidewalks, our neighbors wave at us and smile. It's a humbling feeling, knowing that we were able to make a difference in their lives. We make our way to the park, where we often come to relax and unwind. Today, the park is alive with the sound of children laughing and playing, and I can't help but feel grateful for the peace and joy that surrounds us.

A message projected itself on the edge of my vision, indicating it was from Kiwi. My heart sank a little, reminded of the events that caused her to apologize for her treachery to our team. Though most of us rejected her efforts, Falco decided to take a chance and forgive her. As it turned out, the two of them struck up a friendship and remain in contact to this day. Kiwi never fails to remind me how grateful she is for my actions, claiming that she wouldn't be alive today if not for me. It's a humbling feeling, knowing that I was able to make a difference in her life. Despite the fractured relationships that resulted from her actions, I take comfort in knowing that she has found people she can truly trust. That is all that matters in the end.

(Karito) Looks at David's picture one last time "This was all for you little brother. A good ending, for your story." Thoughts "Good thing I made him those cybernetic lungs to be able to breathe out on space."

A few months later

As I walked through the desolate junkyard, my eyes scanned the piles of metal and debris, searching for my target. My mission was clear, to become someone else and ensure the continuation of this world's story. Finally, I spotted a figure in the distance, his black EMT jacket catching my attention. Yet, something was different, the LED lights glowed orange and the man had short hair, unlike David's. With a sense of determination, I approached him, reaching out to shake him awake. As he slowly stirred, I knew the time had come to pass the torch and take on a new identity.
