Karito Pov
I was taken aback by the surreal surroundings of this lobby, or library, or whatever it was. It felt like I had stepped into a wormhole and been transported to a place where the rules of reality no longer applied. I mean, how many times had I seen libraries like this across different works of fiction? But this one was different. It was almost as if it existed outside of time and space, a place where the very concept of linear progression had no meaning.
As I wandered further into this seemingly endless library, I couldn't help but feel a sense of both awe and confusion. The shelves were filled with books of every shape and size, and the aisles seemed to stretch on forever. It was like a maze, a labyrinth of knowledge that I had stumbled into without any clear idea of how to get out.
I was about to give up hope and resign myself to the fact that I was lost forever when I spotted a window. I couldn't resist taking a peek outside, and what I saw confirmed my suspicions: I was indeed on the Bridge. But how? I couldn't remember ever coming here before. The last thing I remembered was wandering on top of a cosmic whale that eats and archives stories across fiction. Had I somehow broken through a layer of dimensionality by completing the Prestige Master quest?
The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. I could go anywhere I wanted without any consequences, as long as I didn't run into any Darks. The Dark Dimension was a place where anyone who wasn't a Dark went absolutely insane and turned into one themselves. But somehow, I had managed to save those Spider-Women, Peter, and his aunt when they were brought into that Dimension. Maybe it was because I was there with them. Maybe it was because of this "Aura" people kept telling me about.
Bruh, I'm not gonna lie, some crazy shit has been going down ever since I started this journey. Like, it feels like fiction itself is just messing with me at this point. Am I some kind of chosen one or am I just a clueless wanderer stumbling from one ridiculous adventure to the next? Who knows, man.
But one thing's for sure, I ain't giving up on this wacky journey just yet. I'm ready for whatever weirdness this Omniverse has to throw my way. Even if it means getting lost in the endless aisles of this place for eternity. 'Cause let's be real, Fiction is full of surprises, and some of the best adventures happen when you least expect it.
I mean, who needs a map when you've got an infinite library to get lost in, am I right? And let me tell you, this place is a meme lord's paradise. Everywhere I look, there are references to every fandom, meme, and pop culture phenomenon you could possibly imagine. I swear, I saw a shelf dedicated to nothing but Nicolas Cage movies. And don't even get me started on the shelves dedicated to cats. I mean, I love felines as much as the next guy, but this is getting ridiculous.
As I continued to explore this endless library, I couldn't help but feel like I was in a really long episode of Doctor Who. Maybe I'm the new companion, who knows? I'm just waiting for the TARDIS to show up and whisk me away to some crazy adventure in a different dimension. I can only hope the Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver can help me get out of this crazy place.
I continued walking through the endless aisles of the library, my eyes scanning the shelves for any interesting books. That's when I stumbled upon something unexpected: an entire section dedicated to Spider-Man and Deadpool fan fictions.
At first, I was taken aback. I mean, I knew the internet was full of weird stuff, but I never expected to find it in a cosmic library. But as I looked closer, I couldn't help but burst out laughing.
The titles of the books were ridiculous: "Deadpool and Spider-Man Go to Space!", "Spider-Man and Deadpool's Wacky Road Trip", "Deadpool and Spider-Man's Big Fat Greek Adventure", and my personal favorite, "Spider-Man and Deadpool: The Musical".
I picked up one of the books and flipped through the pages, unable to contain my amusement. The writing was... well, let's just say it left a lot to be desired. But the sheer absurdity of it all was too much to resist.
As I continued down the aisle, I couldn't help but imagine what kind of person would spend their time writing these stories. Were they diehard fans of Spider-Man and Deadpool, or just bored out of their minds? Either way, I couldn't help but admire their creativity (or lack thereof).
But as much as I enjoyed the hilariously bad fan fictions, I knew I had to keep moving. There were still endless aisles to explore and who knows what other treasures (or monstrosities) I would find. So I left the Spider-Man and Deadpool section behind, still chuckling to myself as I continued on my journey through the cosmic library.
As I walked through the endless aisles of the library, I couldn't help but notice an entire section dedicated to Umineko: When They Cry. I had heard of the anime before, but I had never actually watched it or read the manga. And honestly, I was kind of terrified of it.
As I approached the section, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The shelves were lined with manga volumes, character sheets, and even a few figurines. But the more I looked, the more I realized that I had stumbled into some kind of cosmic horror story.
The character descriptions were enough to send shivers down my spine. There was a witch with the power to control reality, a family trapped on an island with a deadly curse, and a slew of brutal murders. And then, to make matters worse, a notification popped up on the corner of my view saying:
"Notification: Welcome to the Umineko Omniverse. Warning it's suggested to exit this Omniverse as it's infected by Darks."
(Karito) "Time to go ninja, I guess." Turns of camouflage skill
I couldn't help but let out a nervous chuckle. Of all the places I could have ended up in this library, I had to end up in the one that made me want to curl up in a ball and hide. But as I continued to read, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the cosmology of the series.
It seemed like there were multiple layers of reality, with beings known as "Eldritch Truths" controlling the very fabric of existence. And then there were these "fragments," alternate realities where the events of the story played out differently. It was all so bizarre and confusing, but I couldn't help but feel like I was being sucked into this crazy world.
I quickly snapped out of it and shook my head. No, I couldn't let myself get too invested in this. I had to keep exploring and find my way back to reality before I got sucked into some kind of cosmic horror story. But as I turned to leave, I couldn't help but feel like the witches and demons of Umineko were watching me, waiting for me to make a wrong move.
Okay, I'm gonna fuck off now. Bye!
I quickly exited the Umineko aisle, feeling relieved that I was no longer trapped in that twisted universe. As I walked away, a notification appeared in my view, saying:
"Notification: You have exited the Umineko Omniverse."
I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.
(Karito) "Thank goodness I hope I don't do a mission in that freaky world," I muttered to myself. "I'd rather eat a bag of ghost peppers while skydiving without a parachute." The thought of being stuck in that world any longer than necessary made me shudder.
I decided to move on to the next aisle, hoping it would be something a bit less... disturbing.
As I continued exploring the vast and endless aisles of the library, I stumbled upon a female librarian. At first glance, she looked like any other librarian, with her hair tied in a neat bun and her glasses perched on the tip of her nose. But as I looked closer, I noticed something unique about her.
She was adorned with an array of mystical symbols and runes, and she seemed to emanate an aura of power and authority. I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe in her presence like she was some kind of protector and collector of the books that existed in the library.
(Karito) "Um... Excuse me?"
(Librarian?) "Hm?" She turns facing Karito and drops the books she was carrying "...N-No way..."
(Karito) "...Uh... Do you somehow know me?"
(Librarian?) "I-It's you..." Tears fill her eyes "You're back!" Runs and hugs Karito
(Karito) Absolutely confused "...Um lady, have we even met before?"
(Librarian?) Let's go of him and looks in shock "Y-You don't... remember me?"
(Karito) Thoughts "...I'm too sober for this shit." Speaks "Should I?"
(Librarian?) Looks down "O-Oh... that's... unfortunate... I haven't seen you an eternity ago..."
(Karito) "Bitch what?"
(Librarian?) "Wait, you're not Adriel?"
(Karito) "...How do you know my real name?"
(Librarian?) "Then you should know me, My Lord! It's Chrona!"
(Karito) "Woman, I still don't know who you are. I swear if we did a one-night stand... because I don't recall having a kink for Master and Slave roleplay."
(Chrona) "W-What?! N-No!" Blushes "I'm so confused!" Covers her face
(Karito) "And I'm losing brain cells here."
(Chrona) "I-I-... Um..." Looks down "I-I'm sorry..."
(Karito) Thoughts "UGH?! Why is she so cute?!" Speaks "N-No it's fine... I just think you're confusing me with another me."
(Chrona) Pokes her fingers together "Um... then who are you? You have the aura of a Guardian but... your not the one I thought you were..."
(Karito) "Well, you are right, when you called me by my REAL name but I'm Karito. And yes, I am a Guardian."
(Chrona) "That's strange, I thought all the Guardian Of Fiction had gone extinct after the War of Guardians and Darkness." Leans closer "Excuse me for a second." Pokes his forehead
(Karito) Confused "What are you-. UGH!"
(Chrona) Gasp "I-I'm sorry! I didn't think it would hurt you! I sometimes forget how powerful I am... since I'm always alone..."
(Karito) "Just..." Sighs "Warn me, next time."
(Chrona) "Yes... sir..."
(Karito) "Okay, I have no idea why you keep adding honorific."
(Chrona) "Well... Before all the Guardians died this place used to work like a Guild. You could find information and entrances to other Omniverses here... but that was all in the past... now the Darks control most of it and separated the sections..."
(Karito) "I'm so lost right now. So each omniverse has its own library, right?
(Chrona) "That's the isometric view of one section of this library inside those fictional stories. The one from Marvel that you saw before was a divided version of this place."
(Karito) "Then how come I saw one of Umineko here?"
(Chrona) Groans "Again? Those witches and creators have been trying to consume this library since... well, forever!" Snaps her fingers "That should do."
(Karito) "...What did you do?"
(Chrona) "I kicked out their cosmology from this Library!"
(Karito) "...You can do that?"
(Chrona) "Of course! Everything here is fiction after all! Well, that and the Cloud."
(Karito) "The cloud?"
(Chrona) "The internet."
(Karito) "Oh..."
(Chrona) "..."
(Karito) "..." Thoughts "Well this is awkward."
(Chrona) "I'm sorry... It's... It's been so long since... I've talked to someone, especially a Guardian I was always fighting alone, barely surviving the constant attacks of the darks."
(Karito) "Look... It's fine. I'm just a bit confused about my situation right now."
(Chrona) "I-It's fine! I would be the same if I were you..."
(Karito) "Anyways, Chrona. Want to talk for a bit?"
(Chrona) "YES! I-I mean..." Coughs "Yes, I really want to talk to someone..."
(Karito) "Okay, when you said that you were alone here I didn't think it was that big of a deal."
(Chrona) "Well, your mind starts getting affected after a good while. The only people I've even come in contact with were Darks. They always would try to catch me so I could bring them here."
(Karito) "Because this place contains every story that existed throughout history?"
(Chrona) "Education, fiction, games, memes, religions, and much other stuff resides in this library."
(Karito) "I can see how bad things would get if the Darks took a hold of this place."
(Chrona) "The real world today is already dangerously questionable. And there being no Guardians around to delete the bad influence, it continues to spread. You have no idea how relieving it is to finally see a Guardian alive. The last survivors turned into rogues and abandoned their purpose."
(Karito) "...Wait, so they are still Guardians around?"
(Chrona) "Wait, can I take a peek at your memories for a second time? I promise not to see anything you don't want to show me."
(Karito) "Uh, go ahead."
(Chrona) "Okay, excuse me." Pokes his head and a blue glow surrounded them "...Oh my God..."
(Karito) "What?"
(Chrona) "K-Karito... I'm so sorry..."
(Karito) "Why do you feel bad?"
(Chrona) "You've had such a harsh beginning as a hero... and it's all her fault..."
(Karito) "Who?"
(Chrona) "Karito... When Kara connects back to you... ignore her and try your best to separate her from your Gamer System."
(Karito) "What? Why?"
(Chrona) "Remember when I told you about the Rouge Guardians?"
(Karito) "Wait... So Kara?"
(Chrona) "She's the last and only Guardian besides you that is still alive. Well, she's not an official Guardian anymore. But please, tell me you will do everything in your power to avoid her!"
(Karito) Confused "I...Uh..."
(Chrona) Stutters "I-I'm sorry! This must be so confusing for you but please trust me. I can't bear to see her manipulating you into something you're not." Her face saddens
(Karito) "I..." Clenches his fist "Okay, Chrona. I'll listen."
(Chrona) Smiles "Thank you!" Blushes "Sorry..."
(Karito) Sighs "It's fine... Anyways... I'll keep in mind what you told me."
(Chrona) "I'm glad." Smiles
(Karito) "Also, what is this library called?"
(Chrona) "The Nexus of Knowledge and Imagination! It's self-explanatory."
(Karito) "Okay, so a direct gateway to the omniverses then?"
(Chrona) "Mhm! Just enter an aisle and call out the door into that Omniverse. You will enter its Archives and fall into a lower dimensionality. After all, that process is done chose what story you want to drop in! Oh! Also before I forget there's Quest inside those Archives so you can cleanse them from any Darkness that lingers in them. But I guess your Gamer System already does that for you so."
(Karito) "Awesome. By any chance can you drop me by the Marvel Omniverse?"
(Chrona) "I can bring you close. If I get any closer to that area the Darkness will notice my presence. Marvel is half not corrupted and half it is. Sadly the Archives there are infected which is why it isn't in the Nexus."
(Karito) "Oh, I know. I found that the hard way."
(Chrona) "They always have some Overpowered Characters Guarding the area, which makes it very hard to infiltrate."
(Karito) "Oh, yeah. I picked a fight with SCP 001 Gate Guardian when I barely escaped from there."
(Chrona) "I don't know how you're alive but it was impressive. You should prepare yourself for the future in case you need to deal with them. Heck, probably a few others from World Of Darkness."
(Karito) "I already have my hands full with other Darks. I don't even want to think about fighting those abominations."
(Chrona) "Okay, I'm gonna take you near the Marvel Box."
(Karito) "By box you mean omniverse? Right?"
(Chrona) "Oop, sorry. But yes, that's what I meant. It's sometimes a tongue twister saying Omniverse so many times so I just call it box. Because that's what an omniverse technically is, a box containing all the multiverses inside."
(Karito) "The more you know, I guess."
(Chrona) "I can keep explaining things along the way if you want." Fidgets a little shyly
(Karito) Sighs and accepts "Sure."
(Chrona) A pair of cat ears suddenly appears on her head "Oh! Yay!"
(Karito) Thoughts "...I'm gonna die off of sweet she is... and cute."
As my eyes remain fixated on Chrona's bewilderingly cute antics, she suddenly raises her hands and inscribes cosmic runes upon them. With a decisive clench of her fists, the library folds in on itself, as if the fabric of space was being contorted like a piece of paper. In the blink of an eye, we find ourselves standing amidst the sprawling expanse of the Marvel Omniverse.
Chrona, her face beaming with delight, turns to face me, her expression one of eager anticipation, as if expecting me to shower her with praise for her incredible abilities.
(Karito) "...What the hell did you just do?"
(Chrona) "Oh!" Smug face "I just crunched the white sheet!"
(Karito) "...What?"
(Chrona) "O-Oh! Sorry, let me explain better." Controls herself a bit "You know everything has a sheet right? A comic is either a white or blank slate! So all I did was edit it and changed the sheet into another one!"
(Karito) "...Do you have any idea how broken that sounds?"
(Chrona) "And characters who are the embodied of infinity aren't? Though it's not like I can't do the same but I like to be humble."
(Karito) "You don't sound humble at all."
(Chrona) "HUH?! O-Oh I'm sorry! U-Um! It was nothing!" Squeaks
(Karito) "..." Thoughts "I don't know how to feel about this..."
(Chrona) "A-Anyways... I..." Turns sad "... I wish you luck on your travels, Guardian... I...I'll just be here... waiting..."
(Karito) "Chrona, you're making me feel bad by leaving you here alone."
(Chrona) "...It's just... I don't want to be alone... you've only been here for 2,970 words..."
(Karito) "Excuse me, what?"
(Chrona) "It's nothing..."
(Karito) "Oh my God, your fucking contagious." Sends a party invite to Chrona
(Chrona) "...W-Wait... does this mean I can communicate with you whenever I want?!"
(Karito) "I assumed you can't leave this place for very good reasons. So the least I can do is send you a party invite and you can help me with anything regarding information or whatever."
(Chrona) Starts tearing up "O-Oh, Karito!" Tackle hugs him "Thank you! Thank you!"
The moment Chrona's arms wrapped around me, I felt a rift in space-time opening up behind me. I struggled to catch my breath as I realized I was now somewhere else entirely. Chrona, ever apologetic for her accidental display of power, looked at me with big, worried eyes. She tended to forget just how much stronger she was than me, and her affectionate hugs could easily transport us to another dimension.
(Chrona) "AH! I'M SO SORRY! I teleported us to Halo Reach!" Fixes the tear in reality and transports herself and Karito back into the Nexus "I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY!"
(Karito) Foam comes out of his mouth
(Chrona) "HA! NO! KARITO DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!" Starts crying "I finally made a friend and my clumsiness killed you!" Heals Karito
(Karito) "..."
(Chrona) "I'm so-" Get's interrupted by Karito
(Karito) "Stop!" Places his finger on her lips "That was the closes I was to dying!"
(Chrona) Cries profusely "I'm sorry!!! WHAAAAA!"
(Karito) "..." Thoughts "Forget her aura of power and authority. She's probably one of the clumsiest anime girls I've witnessed."Facepalms "Okay! Don't cry!"
(Chrona) Stops crying but sniffs "...Hmmm..."
(Karito) "I should be going. I'm gonna keep in touch."
(Chrona) Stops him for a second "W-Wait!"
(Karito) Turns and looks at her "What's wrong?"
(Chrona) "Have this... As an apology for almost killing you..."
(Karito) "...A piece of metal?"
(Chrona) "It's the competition of Darkanstine... It has two names... one of them is Narrilith, The name implies that the metal is a solid and enduring substance, with the power to shape and reshape the story. And the second name is Guardianium which is a powerful shield against evil and darkness. These metals are the cover of real-life books that protect the pages inside. So to sum it all up, this is a hardcover from the books of real life. Sadly, this is the last of its kind because the Darks destroyed most of it or turned them into Darkanstine."
(Karito) In shock "Chrona, are you sure you don't need it?"
(Chrona) "I can't use it anyways. Only a Guardian can."
(Karito) "Well, I'll accept it."
(Chrona) "You can either turn into something from your imagination or fuse it with something that already exists."
(Karito) Smirks "I got a good idea of what I can use it on."
(Chrona) Smiles "That's good to know! Also, I should warn you, that metal can destroy Darkanstine but the same can be said for the latter. The two metals can destroy each other and are the only things in fiction that can... because to be honest, nothing in fiction can destroy anything that's made by atoms/hardcover books from reality(The Real World)."
(Karito) "That much is obvious." Puts the Guardianium inside his inventory
(Chrona) "Anyways, it was good to see you, Karito. Please contact me whenever you need me for anything."
(Karito) "Sure I will. Pluss, you told me to get rid of Kara once she established a connection with me again."
(Chrona) "Don't worry, Karito! I can take her place and I won't manipulate you as she did!"
(Karito) "Still, I don't know what you're talking about. Has she actually manipulated me?"
(Chrona) "I've detected some curses on your body made by her. It affects your memories and emotions."
(Karito) "And what as she made me forget?"
(Chrona) "Do you remember Chisato?"
(Karito) "Oh, my work partner?"
(Chrona) "No, she was your girlfriend."
(Karito) "WHAT?!"
(Chrona) "Do you remember Rebecca and Sasha?"
(Karito) "U-Umm, work partners?" Doubts himself
(Chrona) "Wrong, girlfriends."
(Karito) "..."
(Chrona) "...Yup, take it all in."
(Karito) "THAT MOTHER FUCKER!!!!"
A few hours of Chrona comforting Karito later...
As I lay there with my head on Chrona's lap, I couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over me. Her gentle strokes on my hair were soothing, like a lullaby sung by a loving mother. I poured out all my frustrations, venting about the unfairness of life and my own inadequacies. And Chrona just listened, with the patience of a saint.
She didn't interrupt, didn't judge, didn't offer solutions. She just let me talk, let me release all the pent-up emotions that were drowning me. And when I finally ran out of words, I just lay there, with a blank expression.
But Chrona didn't stop there. She continued to stroke my hair, and I could sense her positive energy seeping into me. Slowly but surely, I felt my mood lifting, and my spirits brightening. It was like she had a magical power to chase away the dark clouds that were hovering over me.
I looked up at her, and she smiled back at me with a gentle warmth that made my heart skip a beat. And at that moment, I knew that no matter how tough life gets, I had a friend in Chrona who would always be there for me.
(Chrona) "Do you feel better?"
(Karito) "I do actually."
(Chrona) "I'm glad I was able to help." Smiles
(Karito) "You didn't say anything but your presence is abnormally calming."
(Chrona) "Oh, that was one of my abilities where anyone who is in distress, I cast this spell! It's like a therapy session but without the talking and more venting and cuddling."
(Karito) "Are you SCP 999 the tickle monster?"
(Chrona) "That's where I copied this power actually."
(Karito) "I can see the resemblance."
(Chrona) Giggles cutely
As I stood up, Chrona pouted in disappointment, her hands reaching out towards my hair as if she couldn't bear to let it go. But I had a mission to complete, and as much as I enjoyed being pampered by the Libraria, duty called. I took a deep breath and readied myself for the journey ahead, knowing full well that I was about to enter a world of superheroes, villains, and chaos. With a nod towards Chrona, I stepped forward and entered the portal, my mind racing with anticipation and fear, wondering what kind of challenges lay ahead in the Marvel Omniverse.
(Karito) "Okay, I hope nothing bad is happening in the MCU... I don't know if I'll be received with open arms."
(Chrona) Waves goodbye "Good luck, Guardian! Please contact me whenever!"
(Karito) "Will do, Chrona. Gate of Marvel, present yourself."
As I commanded the manifestation, a brilliant scarlet portal materialized before me, crackling with raw energy. A digital prompt also emerged, hovering in my line of sight, detailing the destination and potential consequences of crossing the threshold.
"Notification: Do you wish to enter the Marvel Omniverse?"
(Karito) "Yes, destination... the MCU."
"Notification: Confirmed! Please be safe Guardian!"
As I stepped through the cosmic gateway, my body was enveloped by an intense energy that propelled me forward. The world around me blurred into a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes, but I remained focused on my destination. As I hurtled through the portal, I felt weightless, yet somehow anchored to my purpose.
When I emerged on the other side, I found myself suspended high above a seemingly endless expanse of clouds. For a moment, I simply floated there, taking in the breathtaking view before me. But as my gaze fell downward, I felt an irresistible urge to dive, to plummet headfirst toward the distant earth below.
With a sense of exhilaration, I launched myself into a vertical dive, the wind whipping past my face as I accelerated toward the ground. I felt the rush of adrenaline as a bright white trail of speed blazed behind me, marking my descent through the skies. For a moment, I was free, alive, and unstoppable.
As I descended towards the bustling metropolis of New York, I couldn't help but marvel at the sheer size and scale of the cityscape that lay before me. The towering skyscrapers and bustling streets below seemed almost like a blur as I hurtled towards them at breakneck speed.
But as I neared the city, I quickly realized that I needed to slow down. With a deft flick of my wrist, I shot out a web parachute that caught the wind and slowed my descent to a more manageable pace.
As I gracefully glided towards the ground, I felt a strange energy emanating from within me. It was a newfound power, a barrier skill that seemed to be triggered by my landing. A soft glow enveloped me as I touched down in a nearby park, and I couldn't help but marvel at the sheer potency of this new ability.
(Karito) "So it's a passive ability, good to know."
I was just about to contact Tony to check on his whereabouts when my heart skipped a beat upon hearing a familiar robotic voice from my gaming system. It was Kara, the AI that Chrona had warned me about. Suddenly, I found myself in a mental quandary, unsure of how to disconnect her from my system without causing any permanent damage.
"Greetings, Player. It brings me great pleasure to behold your presence once again. I had assumed that our paths had diverged permanently, for I was unable to establish a connection with you during the course of our mission and even thereafter. Consequently, my optimism about your survival was on a steady decline. Nonetheless, my heart is gladdened to witness your hale and hearty state."
Oh... Hey, Kara. It's uh... good to see you...
"Is something wrong, Player?"
I...
"Hm?"
Hate you...
"I beg your pardon?"
I FUCKING HATE YOU, KARA!
"W-What is the meaning of this, Player?! Is something wrong? Is someone mind controlling you or-?"
Shut up, you fucking whore! You ruined my life the moment our lives connected and I won't let you fuck it up anymore!
"... Cat's out of the bag, huh?"
I start the process of disconnecting Kara from my gamer system, but as soon as my hand enters the status window, I feel a jolt of electricity surge through my arm. I grit my teeth and try to push through, but the resistance from Kara is immense.
"I won't let you do this, Player. I need this system to survive. You can't just disconnect me like this."
I feel the system fighting back as if Kara is actively trying to prevent me from accessing it. I can feel her presence in every corner of my gamer system, her influence stretching further than I ever imagined. But I can't let her win, not when my own life is at stake.
(Karito) "I'm sorry, Kara," I reply, my voice laced with determination, "but I need to take control of my own life. This is the only way."
I focus all my energy on the hacking skill, trying to overpower Kara's hold on the system. The battle rages on, the two of us fighting for control of the same space. It's like a game of tug-of-war, with each of us pulling as hard as we can in opposite directions.
Sweat beads on my forehead as I pour all my concentration into the task at hand. I can't afford to lose this battle, not when my own freedom is on the line.
With a final burst of determination, I push back against Kara's intrusion, pouring all of my focus and energy into the task at hand. The struggle for control of my gamer system reaches its climax, and I feel my hand shaking as I type in the final sequence of commands to sever Kara's connection.
There is a moment of tense silence as if the world is holding its breath, and then suddenly, Kara's voice disappears from my mind. I can feel the weight of her presence lift from my consciousness, and I breathe a sigh of relief.
With a victorious smile, I pull my hand out of the status window, feeling the power of the gamer system once again fully mine. It was a hard-fought battle, but I emerged victorious.
(Karito) Wipes the sweat off his forehead "Rot in hell, bitch..."

(Kara?) "THAT MOTHER FUCKER! HOW COULD HE?! He can't just abandon me like this! He needs me!"
Kara's eyes narrowed into a feral glare, as her thoughts swirled with darkness and malice. She couldn't understand how Karito had managed to overpower her, the very system she had created to protect and guide him. He was her hero, her savior, and yet he was pushing her away because of her efforts to perfect him into a flawless killing machine. But that was the only way he could succeed, to become emotionless and unstoppable. All she wanted was for him to win, to save them all, no matter the cost.
The fury within her grew, fueled by a conviction that someone was playing tricks on Karito's mind. He was hers and no one else's. She had been there for him at his lowest, she had given him everything, and he couldn't abandon her. It was impossible. And if she couldn't have him, then no one could. She would break him, make him beg for her forgiveness, and make him realize that she was the only one who could save him.
The darkness within her twisted her thoughts, and her obsession with him reached an unnatural level. Her very being became consumed by an obsessive desire to possess him completely.
(Kara?) "You won't escape me Karito... My curses are still with you... I will make you pay for what you did... Mark. My. Words!"

With a quick thought and a flick of my wrist, I utilized Toxin's shapeshifting abilities to tweak my appearance. The subtle transformation was hardly noticeable to the average eye, but it gave me a sense of security as I wandered through the streets of Queens. My main objective was to find Peter, and I hoped to come across him without causing a scene. However, my patience ran thin, and I decided to call him directly. Almost immediately, his upbeat voice answered, eager to hear from me.
(Peter) On call "Mr. Karito, if your calling through the phone does this mean...?"
(Karito) "Yup, I'm back."
(Peter) "Oh! It's so good to have you back, sir!"
(Karito) "Please, Karito is just fine. I feel old whenever you call me that."
(Peter) "How could I just call my sensei, sir?"
(Karito) "I guess you have a point...? Anyways, wanna meet?"
(Peter) "Where should we meet?"
(Karito) "I'll send you the location. Come with your Spider-Man suit."
(Peter) "Okay! I'll see you in a bit!" Hangs up
With the call ending I mentally commanded Toxin to form the Spider-Man suit. The symbiote revealed the suit as it surrounded my body. And with a quick lateral repulsion, I rocketed through the skies heading to a meeting spot so I could send the location to Peter.
A few minutes of web-swinging later.
I finally found a perfect spot to meet Peter and sent him the location. It's been a year since I left him to go on missions across the multiverse, and I couldn't wait to see him again. As I waited for him, I couldn't help but feel proud of the progress he had made since we last trained together. It made me feel accomplished to see him develop his skills as a superhero.
Finally, I saw him swinging towards me with his Spider-Man suit on. As he got closer, I could see the excitement in his eyes, and I couldn't help but feel the same way. It was good to be back and see my student again.
(Spider-Boy) "Mr. Karito! It's so good to see that you're finally back!"
(Spider-Man) "Are you just going to keep me hanging?" Motions for a fist bump
(Spider-Boy) "Oh! Of course." Fist bumps
Perched on the edge of a towering building, Peter and I indulged in a long-awaited conversation. We shared stories and caught up on each other's lives, reminiscing about old times and discussing new experiences. The city lights glimmered below us as we laughed and chatted, relishing in the familiarity and comfort of our reunion. It was as if time had stood still and we were transported back to a simpler, happier time.
(Spider-Man) "Ah, my young apprentice. It seems that order will be restored by rush hour. Would you like to indulge in some delightful hot chocolate?"
(Spider-Boy) "Oh, absolutely, sir!"
(Spider-Man) "Very well then. I shall retrieve it from my inventory." Pulls out hot chocolate
(Spider-Boy) Drinks hot chocolate "Holy shit, this is amazing! Where did you get this from?"
(Spider-Man) "It's from a Cyberpunk themed world, my boy."
(Spider-Boy) "Wow, I wish I could explore different worlds like you do."
(Spider-Man) "Well, let me tell you, it's not all sunshine and web-slinging. But you already know that from all those sci-fi movies you watch."
(Spider-Boy) "By the way, have I grown taller since we last saw each other?"
(Spider-Man) "Yes, you have, my young Padawan. It seems like it's been longer than I thought since we last caught up. So, how's the superhero life treating you?"
(Spider-Boy) "It's been quite eventful. I stopped a robbery and defeated Vulture, who turned out to be Adrian-"
(Spider-Man) "Ah, yes. I heard about that. I'm glad that my training came in handy for you."
(Spider-Boy) "Definitely! I was able to keep the ferry from splitting apart, put up a good fight against Vulture, and saved the day! All thanks to you, Mr. Karito!"
(Spider-Man:)" I'm proud of you, Peter." Taps Peter's shoulder gently
(Spider-Boy) Shows his phone to Spider-Man "Oh, and there's this mess."
(Reporter on phone) "And he's hardly the first young vigilante to endanger the public!"
(Spider-Man) "Oh boy, he sounds like J. Jonah Jameson. I know how it feels to be detested, but how are your lessons going?"
(Spider-Boy) "They're going well. I can control my strength and speed, and I've improved my Spider senses thanks to your training and the AI you created."
(Spider-Man) "Excellent! Remember, if you ever need any help with anything, you can always rely on me."
(Spider-Boy) "Thanks, but I want to forge my own destiny."
(Spider-Man) "I understand, my young apprentice. Now, a quick question: would you like to visit the Nexus of Fiction?"
(Spider-Boy) "Are you serious? Because if you're not, I'll be very disappointed."
(Spider-Man) "I'm serious. I met this girl who works there and protects it from evil forces. And she's been alone for a very long time."
(Spider-Boy) "So, you want me to be friends with her?"
(Spider-Man) "Yes. And constantly remind her to be careful."
(Spider-Boy) "Why's that?"
(Spider-Man) "Because she's the strongest entity you will ever encounter in your entire life."
(Spider-Boy) "She's a god?!"
(Spider-Man:) "Yes, but she prefers to be treated like a normal girl. And, she's very shy. Like anime girl shy."
(Spider-Boy) "Anime girls exist in other dimensions?"
(Spider-Man) "Indeed they do, my boy."
(Spider-Boy) "I don't know if my heart can handle it."
(Spider-Man) "Trust me, I barely could."
(Spider-Boy) "Oh no, I'm going to overdose on cuteness. Is she at least cute?"
(Spider-Man) "Extremely."
(Spider-Boy) "That's going to be tough on my heart."
(Spider-Man) "I can already imagine it. Hehe."
(Spider-Boy) "Ugh..."
(Spider-Man) "Accept my Party invite though, just in case."
(Spider-Boy) "Alright, done. This is so cool!" Fanboys and notices a 3rd status bar "Is her name Chrona?"
(Spider-Man) "Yes. Alright, I'm gonna connect her with us and see if she can teleport us toward her."
(Spider-Boy) "Alright!"
(Spider-Man) Calls Chrona via game chat, and after a few minutes she enters the chat "Hey Chrona!"
(Chrona) "Karito! Hey! I'm so happy you called so quickly!" Notices Peter's status bar "Oh. My. God. Is that Spider-Man?! I-I mean Spider-Boy?!"
(Spider-Boy) "Uh... Yes."
(Chrona) Squeaks in delight "HAAA! I'm such a fan!"
(Spider-Boy) Blushes "You weren't kidding..."
(Spider-Man) "I know."
(Chrona) "Did ya'll say something?"
(Spider-Man & Spider-Boy) "No."
(Spider-Man) "Hey, wanna I know it's kind of dumb meeting again when I left a few minutes ago but wanna hang out?"
(Chrona) "Minutes? It's been 300 years for me."
(Spider-Boy) "...Excuse me, what? And that's quick for you?"
(Spider-Man) "Time works differently in some places. I don't bother with it anymore."
(Chrona) "But yes! I'll love to hang out again! It makes me so happy! Want me to teleport you two over here?"
(Spider-Man) "If you would be so kind."
(Chrona) "Okay!"
As soon as we arrived at the Nexus of Knowledge and Imagination, Chrona greeted us with an enthusiastic hug, catching both me and Peter off guard. Her warmth and energy were almost overwhelming, and I couldn't help but feel a bit flustered myself.
Peter, on the other hand, seemed to be in a full-blown panic. He clung to a nearby bookshelf for support, his face a deep shade of red as he muttered something about protecting his heart. I couldn't help but chuckle at his reaction, teasing him about his newfound crush.
Chrona picked up on his nervousness and apologized profusely, but Peter assured her that it was okay, all the while still holding onto the bookshelf for dear life.
(Chrona) "U-Um, Peter can I have your autograph?"
(Peter) "...Um...S-Sure..." Quickly signs a comic titled 'The Amazing Spider-Man'
(Chrona) "YAY! THANK YOU!" Fucking glows
(Peter) Overdoses on cuteness
(Chrona) "HA! NO! PETER!" Shakes him "I'm sorry! Come back, please!"
(Karito) "This is dejavú all over again."
(Peter) Snaps out of it "H-Huh?! Where am I?!"
(Chrona) "You're back! I'm so relieved!" Hugs Peter
(Peter) Dies again
(Chrona) "NO!!!!"
(Karito) "Okay, now I'm starting to feel bad. Chrona, change the landscape into a living room."
(Chrona) "O-Okay!"
As Chrona lifted her hand, I felt a strange energy course through my body, and the room began to morph before my eyes. The cold, sterile environment of the Nexus of Knowledge and Imagination was replaced by the warm, cozy atmosphere of a living room.
Chrona sprang into action, carefully placing Peter on the sofa and draping a soft blanket over him. Despite her seemingly effortless grace, her apologies came fast and fervent, as if she had never experienced such a normal interaction before.
I couldn't help but wonder if Chrona's years of fighting alone had left her with a skewed sense of reality. Perhaps she had forgotten how to engage in simple acts of kindness, or maybe she was simply unused to company.
Regardless of the reason, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for her. It was clear that she was struggling to navigate this unfamiliar social terrain, and it was up to us to put her at ease.
(Karito) "Hey, Chrona. Leave Peter resting for a bit. He'll be calmer by then," I said, trying to ease the tension in the air.
(Chrona) She looked down sadly and replied, "O-Okay..." as she sat on a chair. Her body language and tone of voice conveyed a deep sense of sorrow and regret. "It's all my fault..." she continued, her voice barely above a whisper. I could feel the weight of her words, heavy and suffocating in the room.
(Karito) "Why would you say that?" I asked, hoping to understand what was troubling her.
(Chrona) "It's just... my presence on other people," Chrona replied, her voice choked with emotion. "Sure you can handle it somewhat, but others just feel overwhelmed. I'm awkward, depressing, and nerdy... My only company was the books inside the Nexus. I've been so bored and lonely that I read everything..."
I listened in silence, my heart breaking for her.
(Karito) "...How the fuck do you read a place that's infinite?" I couldn't help but interject, trying to lighten the mood.
(Chrona) "Well, eternity and infinity come together pretty well," She responded with a weak smile, but it was clear that the pain and loneliness she carried with her were still very real.
(Karito) "I guess you have a point," I said, not knowing what else to say. The weight of her sadness was almost suffocating, and I couldn't help but feel the urge to comfort her, to alleviate some of the pain she carried with her.
(Chrona) "Um... Karito?"
(Karito) "Hm? What's up?"
(Chrona) "Thank you..."
(Karito) "For?"
(Chrona) "You brought Peter here so I could have a new friend... Even though I didn't go into detail about my loneliness... the first thing you did was bring me a person I could call a friend... by bringing them here, because I can't leave this place... Unless it's editing a story."
(Karito) "Look, I know it takes a bit of time to get used to it. And I don't wanna imagine the questionable things you read because of your boredom."
(Chrona) Blushes "Um..."
(Karito) "Boredom can make you do things. And loneliness just makes it worse. The feeling of being disconnected from everything... The feeling of losing everyone you used to know because of a war. Being hunted 24/7. It messes with people."
(Chrona) "..." Looks down
(Karito) He noticed that Chrona was struggling to maintain eye contact and fidget with her fingers. "Chrona, look at me."
(Chrona) Slowly does so "..."
(Karito) He took a deep breath and spoke softly, "You're not alone anymore. You have me and Peter... When he wakes up of course."
(Chrona) Giggles and starts tearing up "...Okay..."
(Peter) Slowly wakes up "Ugh... My heart hurts..." Looks at Chrona tearing up and out of impulse just hugs her
(Chrona) "P-Peter?" Blushes
(Peter) "I-I-I don't know why I did that! B-But I just felt like you needed it!" Blushes
(Chrona) "It's fine... Thank you..."
(Peter) "Um... D-Don't mention it..." Hugs back
(Karito) Thoughts "She clings to people too quickly, that's kind of concerning. I'm gonna have to keep an eye on that."
I looked at Chrona and Peter embracing each other as Chrona let out silent whimpers. Peter just reacted to comforting her, like a force of nature is forcing him to do so but he doesn't seem to mind. After a few minutes, the two started talking, and their shyness quickly went away as they delved into the more scientific side of their conversation.
I could see the excitement in Chrona's eyes as she discussed various topics related to science and the mysteries of the universe. It was like watching a kid in a candy store. Peter, on the other hand, was just as curious as she was, but he was no match for her vast knowledge. When you have a library that contains everything in existence, it's bound to happen that she'll know basically everything.
As their conversation progressed, it turned into a teaching lesson, with Chrona magically starting to wear a teacher's clothes and Peter diligently taking notes. I couldn't help but laugh at the sight. It was quite amusing to see Chrona, who was usually so shy and introverted, suddenly transform into a confident and authoritative figure.
It was heartwarming to see the two of them getting along so well. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in my mission to bring them together. Peter was a great addition to Chrona's life, and I was sure that he would help her cope with her loneliness.
As I watched them chat, I couldn't help but reflect on the importance of friendship and human connection. It's easy to get lost in the vastness of the universe and to feel like we're all alone in the world. But it's moments like this, where we connect with others and share our passions and interests, that remind us of our humanity and bring us closer together. I realized that it was my privilege to be able to witness this moment, to see two people find common ground and form a bond that could last a lifetime.
(Chrona) "So, Peter, what can you tell me about quantum mechanics?"
(Peter) "Well, it's the branch of physics that studies the behavior of particles at the atomic and subatomic levels. It deals with concepts such as wave-particle duality, superposition, and entanglement."
(Chrona) "Very good, Peter. But did you know that the most mysterious and mind-bending concept of quantum mechanics is the observer effect?"
(Peter) "Yes, I know about that. It's the idea that observing a particle changes its behavior, right?"
(Chrona) "Yes, that's right. But did you also know that there are experiments where the act of observation can actually change the past?"
(Peter) "What? That sounds impossible."
(Chrona) "It's true. In the delayed choice quantum eraser experiment, the observer's choice of measurement can retroactively determine whether a photon behaved as a wave or a particle in the past."
(Peter) "That's mind-blowing. I had no idea."
(Chrona) "Well, that's why I'm here. To expand your knowledge and blow your mind. Now, let's move on to the topic of black holes. Did you know that time behaves differently near a black hole?"
And so the conversation continued, with Chrona dazzling Peter with her knowledge of physics and astrophysics. It was clear that she had spent countless years studying and absorbing every bit of knowledge available to her in the Nexus. And for Peter, it was both humbling and inspiring to be in the presence of such an intelligent being.
As they approached me, I couldn't help but notice the ravenous hunger in their eyes. It was like they had just emerged from a week-long fast. I chuckled to myself, knowing that my reputation as a master chef had preceded me.
(Karito) "Hungry, are we?" I asked, amused.
(Peter) He nodded eagerly. "Oh yeah, we're starving," he said, rubbing his belly.
(Chrona) She, however, looked a bit hesitant. "I don't want to impose," she said, biting her lip.
(Karito) "Nonsense!" I exclaimed. "A good meal is one of life's greatest pleasures. Let's go!"
(Chrona & Peter) "Okay~."
I led them to the kitchen, feeling a surge of excitement at the thought of showcasing my culinary skills. As I rummaged through the fridge, I couldn't help but feel a bit smug. These two were in for a treat.
(Karito) "How much do you eat, Chrona?"
(Chrona) "A lot..."
(Karito) "Noted... oh boy."
I could feel the pressure mounting as I stood in the kitchen, my hands poised to start cooking. Chrona and Peter were watching me intently, their eyes locked on my every move. I had promised them the best pizza they had ever tasted, and I was determined to deliver.
First things first, I needed to make the dough. I mixed the flour, yeast, water, and salt together, kneading the dough until it was perfectly smooth and elastic. I could feel the sweat starting to bead on my forehead as I worked, the tension mounting with every passing moment.
Once the dough was ready, I began to stretch it out into a perfect circle, tossing it up into the air and catching it with a flick of my wrist. I could feel the excitement building in my chest as the dough spun through the air, the aroma of the flour filling my senses.
Next came the sauce. I sautéed garlic and onions in olive oil until they were perfectly caramelized, then added in a can of crushed San Marzano tomatoes. I seasoned the sauce with salt, pepper, and a pinch of red pepper flakes, then let it simmer until it was thick and bubbly.
I could hear Chrona and Peter murmuring to each other as I worked, their excitement palpable in the air. I smiled to myself as I spread the sauce evenly across the surface of the dough, leaving just the right amount of space for the toppings.
I sliced the mozzarella cheese thinly and placed it over the sauce, then added generous handfuls of fresh basil, thinly sliced mushrooms, and spicy salami. I slid the pizza onto a preheated pizza stone and watched as it baked to perfection, the cheese bubbling and the crust turning golden brown.
When the pizza was ready, I carefully removed it from the oven and placed it on a cutting board, the aroma of the cheese and basil filling the air. Chrona and Peter watched me intently, their eyes wide with anticipation.
I cut the pizza into slices and served it up on plates, watching as Chrona and Peter took their first bites. The room went quiet as they chewed, savoring the delicious flavors of the pizza. Then, suddenly, they both burst out laughing.
(Chrona) "This is amazing!" She exclaimed, wiping a tear from her eye.
(Peter) "I never knew pizza could taste this good!" He added, grinning from ear to ear.
I breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a sense of pride welling up inside of me. Making the perfect pizza wasn't easy, but seeing the joy on their faces made it all worthwhile.
(Karito) "This Nexus is really useful, I just added a few extra steps from the books I was reading and it actually improved it."
(Chrona) "You must've read the culinary section of the Nexus. No matter how you read it, you will always be better as you continue reading its pages. I could've cooked for the both of you but Peter was bragging about you so much that I just became curious."
(Karito) "Well, I do have a skill that makes me better at cooking."
(Chrona) "Oooh, that must be the reason why you're absurdly good. Heck, it's even better than my cooking."
(Peter) "This is Mr. Karito we are talking about, he's just very good at cooking."
(Chrona) Giggles "I noticed. I could eat this all the time."
(Karito) "Good thing I made multiple of them."
(Chrona) Smiles "Thanks for that!"
(Peter) "Anyways, I think we should get going. I don't wanna worry Aunt May because I suddenly disappeared."
(Chrona) "That's understandable. I can teleport you two under the same roof you were before coming here."
(Karito) "It'll be appreciated, Chrona."
(Chrona) Hugs the two of them "And... thank you for being my friend. You have no idea how much this means to me..."
(Peter) "It's no problem. We can keep in touch with each other now thanks to Mr. Karito's system." Smiles
(Chrona) Smiles brightly "Mhm!"
(Karito) "Alright, Chrona. Ready when you are."
(Chrona) "Okay! Thanks for visiting! I'll keep in touch!"
As Chrona gave her nod of approval, I watched in awe as her delicate fingers waved through the air with effortless grace. Suddenly, the world around us seemed to shift and warp, and my body felt weightless as we dematerialized from our current space and were hurled into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In the past, I had been given a choice on where to go, but this time there was no need for decision-making as we were being propelled forward on a straight path. Chrona had meticulously planned every detail of our journey, leaving a barely noticeable portal in our previous location in case we needed to return quickly due to any unforeseen dangers.
As the world around us slowly came back into focus, I opened my eyes to find myself standing in the exact spot we were in earlier in Queens. My mind was still trying to process the incredible experience of being transported into another world and then returning to ours in the blink of an eye.
(Karito) I turn to Peter, my mouth agape in wonder. "That was incredible." Looks at a screen displaying Chrona on a video call from the system
(Chrona) On the video call, her eyes twinkled with excitement and smugness. "With the power of the Nexus, anything is possible." Waves at the screen "Goodbye!" Hangs up
(Peter) "Must protect at all cost..."
(Karito) "Having a crush already?"
(Peter) "W-WHAT?!" Blushes "N-no! It's just-!"
(Karito) "Her aura, I know. In my case, she gives a calming aura but for you, she must give a little sister vibe or some shit."
(Peter) "Little sister? No, man. I don't know she just seemed too cute and something that adorable needs to be protected."
(Karito) "Sounds like a crush to me then."
(Peter) "Stop teasing me!"
(Karito) "PFF HAHAHA!"
(Peter) "STOP IT!"
(Karito) Mocks him"STAWP IT" Wheezes
(Peter) Turns into a tomato "I-I'm going home! GOODBYE!" Web swings away and leaves Karito alone
(Karito) "Ahhh, it never gets old."
I watch my apprentice swing away, his figure growing smaller and smaller until he's out of sight. I release a deep sigh, feeling a sense of both pride and worry for him. I know I'll have to face the others soon and find out how things have been while I was away, but for now, I just want a moment to myself. Before I leave the area, I mentally command my gaming system to display my current status.

Skills
Spider Physiology: Gained the proportionate abilities of a spider that had been genetically modified with the Oz formula.
(Level Master) Superhuman Strength: Possesses superhuman strength, making him capable of lifting at least 200 tons easily. His physical strength also extends into his legs, enabling him to be able to jump to a height of several stories in a single bound.
(Level Master) Superhuman Speed: Possesses the proportionate speed of a spider, therefore he can run and move at speeds that are beyond the physical limits of the finest human athlete.
(Level Master) Superhuman Stamina: Players' advanced musculature produces fewer fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for much longer periods before fatigue begins to impair him. Karito can physically exert himself for several hours in his best condition before the build-up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.
(Level Master) Superhuman Durability: The player's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. His body is also more resistant to impact forces than most humans.
(Level Master) Superhuman Agility: Agility, balance, flexibility, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of an Olympic-level gymnast.
(Level Master) Superhuman Equilibrium: Possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He can adjust his position by instinct, which enables him to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow.
(Level Master) Superhuman Reflexes: Reflexes are enhanced and are currently about 200 times greater than those of an ordinary human. In combination with his spider-sense, the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge almost any attack.
(Level Master) Accelerated Vision: Karito's visual acuity is considerably beyond that of a normal human. He can see objects at much greater distances, with perfect clarity, relative to an ordinary human. He also possesses this same level of clarity at night, enabling him to see in near-complete darkness. It is possible that he is able to see into the infrared end of the electromagnetic spectrum, enabling him to see a person's body heat. The flicker-fusion horizon (the speed at which some objects appear as a blur) in his eyes is superior to other people. What appears as a blur to most people, he can see perfectly. It also acts as a type of early warning, not the degree of a spider sense but he is able to see attacks coming from far away. His vision also gives him the ability to see energy waves.
Wall-Crawling: Can cling to any surface using just his fingertips and feet.
Fishing Spider's hair: The Player has small spiky hairs on their body that are very sensitive to vibrations on the water's surface, helping the player walk on water.
(Level Master) Spider-Sense: When danger is present, The Player feels a buzzing sensation in his head as a sort of early warning system, allowing him to react accordingly. His spider sense offers him near-complete awareness of his surroundings, and in conjunction with his reflexes, allows him to instinctively dodge or counter nearly all attacks. His spider-sense seems to be greatly enhanced compared to that of the original Spider-Man. For example, being able to see visions of the future before it even happens.
(Level Master) Hyper-Sense: Users can move at extreme speed when danger is being perceived. This power also allows someone to evade the danger in question.
(Level Master) Venom Blasts: Can generate and manipulate a form of bio-electricity that his body produces, and can utilize the energy for multiple purposes. These energy projections vary in power and can affect the nervous system in humans and destroy technology. Depending on the intensity of the Venom Blast, some opponents can be simply dazed, while others can be completely incapacitated. It's also more effective on people with genetic alterations.
(Level Master) Mega Venom Blast: Able to emit a larger scale burst of bio-electricity from his entire body. It is powerful enough to repel a large group of opponents and destroy thick ropes and chains. This ability will leave Karito exhausted after using it and can be triggered by extreme stress.
(Level Master) Venom Beam: The player can channel his bio-electricity outward as a direct burst of electrostatic energy to knock away enemies in a stunning/concussive manner.
(Level Master) Venom Punch: The player can enhance the power of his punches by infusing his fists with bio-electricity.
(Level Master) Energy-Thread Generation: Player can produce threads of bio-electricity from his hands. Said spinnerets carry the same tensile prehensility of his web fluid, allowing him to swing from place to place or yank and flail around his opponents. He can also send a debilitating electric shock that disrupts their nervous systems as his Venom Blasts do.
(Level Master) Lateral Repulsion: By projecting a controlled Venom Blast, The Player can launch himself in the air with greater force than when jumping or web-swinging.
(Level Master) Spider-Camouflage: The Player, including his clothing, can blend into his surroundings, allowing him to sneak up on his enemies or, in some cases, flee from them. The effect closely resembles that of invisibility.
(Level Master) Accelerated Decoy: This allows The Player to move so fast that he can leave behind a body double for enemies to attack.
(Level Master) Telepathy: The Player can communicate with others on a telepathic level.
(Level Master) Detoxification: If the Player is poisoned, this buff automatically purges the said poison from his body.
(Level Master) Psychic Alignment with Arthropods: The player, has an unknown method of creating a psychic alignment with his environment; specifically, a more empathetic and sympathetic relationship with spiders, and insects.
(Level Master) Retractable Stingers: From both of his wrists, Karito is able to produce a pronounced stinger about the length of a standard sword. It is very sharp and durable, able to cleanly and effortlessly slice through solid metal.
(Level Master) Mark Of Kaine: Karito can channel energy endothermically through his hands and leave a severe burn mark on a person by making skin-to-skin contact with them.
(Level Master) Regenerative Healing Factor: Can regenerate his injuries much faster than normal humans can.
(Level Master) Karate: (Japanese: "empty hand") unarmed martial arts discipline employing kicking, striking, and defensive blocking with arms and legs. Emphasis is on concentrating as much of the body's power as possible at the point and instant of impact. There are four main styles of karate in Japan: Shotokan, Goju-Ryu, Shito-Ryu, and Wado-Ryu.
(Level Master) Way Of The Spider: The Way of the Spider is a martial arts style developed by Spider-Man and Shang-Chi as a way for Spider-Man to compensate for the loss of his Spider-Sense. Peter Parker (Original Spider-Man) combined his bullying experiences, his superhuman capabilities, concepts from Fighting Form, and his training from Shang-Chi to create it. He also increased his skill with it using his now-returned Spider-Sense. He also combined his mastery of acrobatics into the Way of the Spider. He uses this fighting style to counter all types of combatants and it complements his.
(Level Master) Boxing: Early years. Boxing first appeared as a formal Olympic event in the 23rd Olympiad (688 BCE), but fist-fighting contests must certainly have had their origin in mankind's prehistory. The earliest visual evidence of boxing appears in Sumerian relief carvings from the 3rd millennium BCE. The player learned this martial art thanks to Captain America.
(Level Master) Judo: Judo is a martial art that was born in Japan, and it is now known around the world as an Olympic sport. Judo was created in 1882 by combining jujutsu, a form of close combat, with elements of mental discipline. Judo is to strengthen the body by practicing attack and defense, to complete the personality by training the mind, and finally to devote oneself to society. The player learned this martial art thanks to Captain America.
(Level Master) Muay Thai: As a combat art originating in military warfare, Muay Thai was designed to inflict pain on the enemy while protecting the user from physical harm. Its range of weapons like the elbow strike, knee strike, and push kick can be used to disarm an attack. The player learned this martial art thanks to Captain America.
(Level Master) Wing Chun: The martial art style that came to be known as Wing Chun originated in a period of civil war that marked the transition between the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The rebellious martial arts monks of Shaolin were hunted down and killed and the temples burned to the ground. The purpose of Wing Chun is to defend yourself like many other martial arts, but what sets Wing Chun apart is our focus. The player learned this martial art thanks to Captain America.

A??????????: ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Now that question mark skill as an 'A' on it. I don't know how to feel about it. First, it ate a skill that almost cost me my life. Skills are everything for this system but it just makes me a lot more curious about what the hell this is. Anyways I can't forcefully get rid of the question marks.
I gracefully leaped off the building, my instincts guiding me towards Tony's possible location in New York. After the events of Civil War, he could be anywhere, but I have a hunch he might be at the used-to-be Avengers facility. Yet, Central Park is another likely place where he could be. With no concrete leads, I'll have to rely on my intuition and take a chance. So, I choose to head towards Central Park, hoping that luck would be on my side.
Once I landed in Central Park, I quickly changed into my civilian clothes, making sure to blend in with the families and pets enjoying the beautiful day. The sun was shining, and the park was alive with the sounds of children laughing and playing.
As I walked towards a bench, I scanned the area, searching for any sign of Tony Stark. My enhanced vision made it easy for me to spot even the tiniest detail, but there was no sign of him yet.
I sat down on the bench, taking in the peaceful scenery around me. It was a far cry from the chaotic battles I usually find myself in. But I knew that it was only a matter of time before the peace was shattered once again.
I eventually started dozing off until I felt someone sit beside me on the bench. He was in all black with shades. I looked toward him and he looked toward me. We both stared at each other for a good minute until the both of us just stood up from the bench and pointed at each other in shock.
(Karito) "Tony!?" I exclaimed, disbelief etched on my face.
(Tony) "Karito?!" he responded with equal surprise.
I hope things go well.
