The clouds thunder in the sky, meaning the rain could be a storm. Nick's ears were down in disappointment that he had to wait longer to get back to the village, Raven can sense the emotion that is airing around Nick and look up at the sky and read the storm.
" The storm will be around for at least an hour or two. " Raven said, not looking away from the storm.
Nick looked back at Raven as her eyes were forced on the storm, Nick could tell that she believed her words, so he had to trust her and believe her words too.
" Can I ask you a question? " Nick said, Raven looked away from the storm and gave him an unsure look on her face.
" Sure. What question? " Raven asked, wondering if the questions would be the same as last time.
" About your Family. " Nick said. His words made Raven's flicked red again for a few seconds, but she took a breath and exhaled, trying to keep herself calm.
" Just ask. If you don't get your answers now, you will be asking for them later. " Raven said, looking up at the sky and then back to Nick.
" Were they like you? " Nick asked, looking down at Raven.
" I'm going to need more detail. " Raven said, looking up slightly at Nick with tired eyes.
" You know, cool hair, Powers, Black Blood, pretty Eyes, and short. " Nick said, Raven got a bit protective on the last comment.
" I'm not short. I'm only a little under your shoulders, and did you give me a compliment? " Raven tilted her head at Nick as he looked away.
" Just answer the question. " Nick said, looking away slightly blushing.
" No, they actually looked and acted like our bloodline. You know, pure blooded humans, but they didn't care. They loved me with all their hearts, but my Brother and Sister, Matthew and Kairi, I did give them something. " Raven said with a soft smile.
Raven looked back at Nick, and he looked fully interested in what she was saying and waited for her to continue.
" I gave them the ability to speak and understand the Demon Language because that was all I spoke in as a kid. " Raven said and let out a small, quiet yawn and rubbed her eyes.
" How did you do that? Like you said, you were a kid. " Nick said, rubbing his eyes as well.
" I kinda winged it, I took my Blood, and I placed the Blood on their lips for speaking the language and on their ears for understanding it. " Raven explained, thinking back how she gave the ability to Matthew and Kairi.
" Did it work? " Nick asked, looking at Raven.
" I asked them, " Kem si oe ayngtslam? " Do you understand me? Matthew said, " Srane." Yes, and Kairi said, " Tslolam. " I understand. So I'd say they got it. " Raven said and did another small, quiet yawn.
" Sorry if I'm boring you. " Nick said, acting like he isn't tired either.
" No, I'm just really tired, and the sound of rain is really relaxing. " Raven said, listening closely to rain.
Nick and Raven waited for the rain to stop, but they had to wait longer than they thought. A few minutes later, both Nick and Raven fell asleep whilst listening to the rain.
' Two Hours Later '
The rain stopped with stray raindrops dripping off of leafs on trees, the sun shining around the forest, lighting up the area.
A raindrop fell on Nick's cheek from the leafs and woke him up. He looked around, seeing the rain stop finally, but felt his head lying on something soft.
He moved his eyes to look down on what his head was lying on and found Raven's head on Nick's shoulder fast asleep and Nick's head resting on hers.
Nick slowly moved his head off of Raven's, trying not to wake her up and look down at Raven, who was silently sleeping on his shoulder.
' Were we like this the whole time when we were asleep? ' Nick through to himself, blushing and smiled a bit.
He looked up, seeing the trees covered in rain, and looked down to his other shoulder where he was wounded, and it was feeling better but was still in a bit of pain.
