Chapter 37 - Chapter Thirty-Seven The Nightmare

Ashina –

Once I had made it to my suite, I notice two very pissed off Green Alpha males at my door. I sigh and ignore them as they open my door, as they slowly follow behind me. I couldn't help but laugh at how they were moving in slow motion. It was like something right out of a movie.

I laugh with my wolf Kiera, "What do you say? We listen to them talk. I bet it is going to be the funniest thing we will have listened to in a long time." Kiera quickly agreed.

I put on my solemn stern face, "What do you boys want? I have to take a shower and wash this blood off. I really don't have time for you two right now. It better be important to waste my time."

I could see anger well up in their faces very slowly might I add, and they cross their arms just glaring at me.

"Okay if you guys cannot tell me what you are here for, then leave. I don't have all day!"

Suddenly, I started to lift the men magically and carried them to the hallway outside my suite. After Andor tried to yell "sssttttooooopppppppppppppppppp" ever so slowly, I nearly lost my mind. Kiera was laughing her wolf butt off, and I was laughing along with her. When I realized the two Alphas had been getting tired of my pranks, I just imagined them as usual, and they fell to the ground back to their bickering jealous selves. I threw them out and locked my door.

The hot bubbles helped me relax. Magic seems easy to me now, even though I struggled at first. It seems as though I had been born with it all my life and had used it for many years. Magic has become second nature to me in such a short time.

When the Jacuzzi tub was full, I had already stripped off my clothing. I slipped one foot in and then the other, sliding down slowly to allow my body temperature to adjust. Once I had poured lavender bath oil into the jets, I had closed my eyes and just let the hot water massage my body.

After slipping into a void of sleep, the vilest creature smelt of putridness. It looked like he was black as charcoal with embers erupting from his mouth. His body was covered in warts and sores. Standing there, I tried not to move, or maybe I wasn't able to move. I was horrified.

He looked me directly in the eye, saying, "We are coming to eat your flesh, to tear apart your bones, and we know that you are alive and will be ours shortly." He said in a scratchy voice. His voice was the sound of pure evil, and his eyes were like the fires of hell, if I could imagine a demon, it would be him. It was the first time in my life that I was scared, and I kept telling myself that this was just a dream. It is not real, but somehow, I knew that the creature was real, and they knew about me and my mission. I need to get back to my warriors and protect them.

I slowly stepped out of the bathtub and crawled into my bed dripping wet and naked. I was too scared to dry off the water or get dressed in any clothing. I nestled under the blankets like an infant in my mother's womb, calling out to Margaret and communicating my fear to her. She was in my room in less than a minute. Margaret walked over and sat on my bed next to me, while I cried my heart out shaking in fear.

The first person to come to my room, shaking, was Andor, who said he felt the fear through the mate bond. I didn't realize that I had sent out my fear like a signal blasted across a radio wave. I told everyone I had a nightmare and that I was okay, and Margaret shut the door, shooing everyone away.

Margaret held me like a grandmother would with a crying child. She patted my head rocking me back and forth. Margaret started singing Brahms lullaby like a magical melody calming me into a peaceful state. I knew she had to have used magic in her song to calm me. I was so appreciative to her for the peace I felt after such a horrific dream.

Once I had quit crying, Margaret looked like she was going to get up and leave. I quickly grabbed her hand.

"Margaret, I saw a demon in my dreams. I know he was real. He said they knew I was alive. I wanted Malcolm to continue to believe he had killed all the royals. The whole premise of defeating him was the element of surprise. My dream contained a demon that I believed to be real."

Margaret sat down and put my hand in hers, again emitting a calming effect into my soul. "Akira, if he was real, then we need to train. If he wasn't real either way, we need to stay calm and levelheaded. If we panic and lose our heads, we will not win against Malcolm and his demons."

As Margaret's calming aura overtakes my anxiousness, I sigh and let go of all the fear I was clutching onto. I nodded and let Margaret leave. I got up and dressed into my pajamas, tomorrow was going to be another day and my birthday. I needed to read to get my mind into a better place and then sleep.

Once I had fallen asleep, Andor crawled into bed with me. I didn't know until morning he was there. I had snuggled into him like a heated pillow on a freezing winter's night.
