[Location: Garvin City, Unknown Building.]

[Bottom Floor.]

Aba got up for his seat abruptly, alerting everyone of his action. He then began to walk away from the table after pushing the chair up to the table.

While he walked, he said with grin that held utmost confidence, "See you guys later, that's if I'm still here though!" He shouted while waving at the seated members of the table he just abandoned.

*Scrape!*

Maki then hurriedly got up from her seat, which made the chair she sat on be pushed back, scraping the tile in the process and creating a loud scraping noise which echoed around the table.

It engulfed the ears of everyone that inhabited the section of where the chair was. The crew either squinted their eyes or covered their ears in annoyance.

"Hey, ape! I want back my fucking money right now!" Maki yelled while on her feet.

Aba then stopped in his tracks, acknowledging Maki's outburst. He then responded with a serious tone. "Sorry, darling. But hey, if you snooze, you loss!"

"I don't give a shit!" Maki shouted in an enrage tone and demeanor. Veins were popping out of her skin as she raised her hands in the air.

"Thy money is mine, my lady," said Aba while taking a bow and continuing with his venture. "Your the one that decided to play, thus you can not complain. But yet, you argue with your misfortune."

"What?!" Maki yelled, retreated her voice away from Aba and directing it to Sean, who was right behind her. "Didn't that cheating bastard force me to play?!" She asked.

"Well no. You had a choice in the matter in the first place," Sean spoke in Aba's defense and in his own judgement.

"Ugh!" Maki scoffed in a displeased tone. "Well I don't give a hell! I'm going to get back my-. Huh?"

"Where did he go..?" Maki inquired inn confusion and disbelief.

Aba had suddenly vanished in tine air. Their was ni proof that he was there with Maki and the others, only a memory remained of him.

"You shouldn't be worried about him right now," said Kuwobasa with his hands fold while he leaned back on his chair. "What you should be concerned about is already here."

*Step, Step, Step*

Maki inquired. "Huh?"

"There he is," Sean said with a hint of excitement in his silent voice which was barely above a whisper. Later he calmly said, "Are you prepared to die for us?"

A figure what was standing right infront of the crew said, "No."

The figure then continued with a clam voice. "Cause I don't plan on dying or losing."

"Wait a minute. I recognize this guy," said Maki with a hint of realization. "And his voice as well."

"I reckon you would, except Zach," said Akira.

Zach then glanced at Kuwobasa for a brief moment and then back at the figure. "He sounds cocky as hell," said Zach.

He got up from his seat and approached the male figure. Zach placed his hand on top of the males shoulder.

Zach then inquired, "So... you're the the dumbass that decided to fight for our behalf? Ha!"

"I just took my chances," the male explained. "You boss their would have'd killed me if I didn't agree to his unfair terms." The male said while nudging his head to the side to look at Akira for a brief second.

A strike of surprise shot through Zach's heart. His heart began to throb in pain as it banged against his chest.

*Thump!, Thump!*

The beat of his heart could have been heard from outside, because of how surprised he was.

"Uhh..?" Zach stuttered in his surprised state. "How did you know that?"

"Oh, just because of context clues." The male said, nudging his head to his left. At his left was a faint light source what shined on his left shoulder. It revealed the dust particles as it shined.

Despite that, it was clearly seen that his hair was uneat and jet-black.

Zach removed his hand from the unknown males shoulder, while in a paranoid state.

"What's his name?" Zach inquired while having a sharp eye locked on the unrevealed fighter.

His name..

"Oh, his name?" Kuwobasa inquired with a urgent voice.

.. is..

"It's supposed to be Ken Lincoln," revealed Kuwobasa as he continued, "am I correct?" He asked while point at Ken with his index finger.

.. Ken Lincoln!

"Yeah," Ken answered.

The female announcer then came back with a set of news. "THE THIRD ROUND IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!! THIRD FIGHTER, MAKE YOUR WAY SWIFTLY TO THE TOP FLOOR!!"

"Alright," said Ken in a energetic tone of voice, "guess it's my time to fight."

*Pow*

*Crack!*

Ken then slammed his right hand in his left palm. He then cracked his knuckles. He then continued to the next hand.

*Pow*

*Cr-Crack!*

"Wish me god damning luck!" Ken exclaimed.

Ken then walked away from the crew. He then continued his speech, "Pong Fang."

A stroke of surprise then shot Akira through his heart. "Huh?" Akira inquired. But despite that, a smirk emerged from his face.

"Yeah, I do remember this guy," said Zach with a hint of realization. "His the guy that we met on the streets last week. Isn't he?"

"Oh, yeah," said Maki, also realizing who Ken is.

"(How did he..?)" Kuwobasa thought in his mind. He was confused, but at the same time enlighten. "(Oh..)"

"What happened when he agreed?" Zach inquired with a hint of urgency.

[Pong Fang Territory.]

[A week and a couple of days ago.]

*Knock, Knock*

Two faint knocks were heard at the door of Akira's office. It engulfed the lonely air of the room.

Kuwobasa responded by saying, "Come in." His voice cold and calm as he allowed the unknown person or persons to enter his humble and quiet domain.

*Open*

*Creak!*

With a loud creak, the door slowly flung up.

"Ugh!" Kuwobasa scoffed as the door creaked opened. "That annoys me everytime."

"Yeah, we should oil the door for ya," said a outside presence.

Outside the office were two men. They were holding another person between them by holding the figure with opposite hands, which were positioned under the person arm pits.

The figure was masked with a black garbage bag what was tied to his neck.

"We brought him to you as you asked, sir," announced the male at the right. He wore a brown suit, which was too short for him, so his belly was left. But he wore a white under shirt that covered his guys. The pants the guy weared was a furry black and blue short shorts.

"But what was strange was how he behaved," said the guy on the left. "He didn't even try to fight or escape. He knocked out cold, I presume. Are you sure his alive?"

The man on the left side was wearing a green t-shirt with a bright coloured yellow, knee height short shorts.

"Ugh~" The figure between the men scoffed. That proved that he was still alive.

"I believe not," answered Akira with a cigarette between his fingers. "By the way.."

".. why is every single person today wearing short shorts? Well, except me." Akira asked.

"Oh," said the guy on the right. "It's because we haven't weared short shorts for a long time and it's summer."

"Summer?" Kuwobasa inquired.

"Yeah," answered the guy on the right.

"Idiots, it  February 10!" Akira exclaimed.

"What? Are you sure. Cause it's bright hot even in the night," said the male on the left.

"That's probably the season lag after the apocalypse started. Remember that it was December, and snow didn't appear," said Akira.

"Oh, yeah. But it fell in July instead," said the man in the right.

"Shit, we went of the topic. Let's get back in track," said Kuwobasa. "Rest him down on the chair infront of desk."

Following their leaders command, they seated the mask figure on the chair.

"Am I dead, and I'm in hell?" The masked guy asked, indicated by his faint voice.

"No," said Akira plainly and flatly.

"Oh," the mask male said with a hint of disappoint, non-serious and nonchalantly tone in his voice. His voice was though muffled by the bag.

Kuwobasa then said in a calm demeanor and voice, "Take that bag off of his head."

Once again the two man followed Akira's command. This time instead the two of them carrying out the command, only act.

The male on the left walked towards the mask figure and harshly ripped off the bag off the male's head.

"Argh!" The unmasked male yelled as his head was carried back and ripped through the bag, causing him immense pain. "Fuck! What the hell, dude?!"

The man didn't say anything, but only walked backwards towards his original position at the entrance of the door.

"Hello, Lincoln," said Akira as he peered at Ken.

"Uhh.. hello," said Ken in a awkward voice. "And how do you know my last name?" Ken inquired with a large hint of confusion.

Akira answered by saying, "Documents. Government documents. There simple to get in this current state of the world."

"Okay," said Ken with no hint of surprise or awe in his unwavering voice. "That means you probably know if aliens are real!"

"Let's not get off topic, shall we," responded Akira.

"Alright, what the hell did you want to talk about," said Ken Ina displeased voice. "*WHISPERS* I bet it's some boring shit."

Akira then said with a gone of acknowledgement in his voice, "I wanted to ask you to join a tournament for me."

"I say it's more of a threat and a inquiry," said Ezil. The phantom was floating in the air in the right of Ken. "If you agree, you may die and if you disagree, you shall die." An air of wisdom and knowledge surrounded this entity from a unknown race as he said those words.

*Gulp*

Ken then swallowed a huge chunk of saliva down his throat as Ezil spoke.

He turned his eyes to look at his right, and peered at the entity. He then said in his mind, with his thoughts directed towards the entity with a transparent body with a bluish-green glow, "(What did you say?" Ken then turned back his eyes towards Kuwobasa in fear of him realizing the shift of his eyes.

But he already did.

"What happened?" Kuwobasa questioned.

"Huh?" Ken inquired in surprise.

"Didn't you turn your eyes to look at the ceil?" Akira inquired. "What had happened?"

Ken then answered in an irritated tone in his voice, "That's none of your business. I was just turning my eyes as freely as I could."

"What?" Ken inquired. "I can't use my eyes now?"

Akira then scoffed in disapproval and a emotionless time. "Hmph!"

"I'll agree," said Ken abruptly, with an utmost serious tone.

"What?" Kuwobasa inquired in awe and disbelief.

"What?" Ken inquired as well. "I just agreed to join your fancy tournament. What's yours problem?"

"That was.. paranormal.." said Kuwobasa in a suspicious tone.

"How's that weird?" Ken inquired, raising a eye brow and his hands in the air from off his thighs. "So, what happens next?"

"Well.." said Kuwobasa. He turned his head to look out of his window. Once again, outside was night. Akira turned around in his chair and said, "You'll be transferred to Garvin City tomorrow. There, you will be staying for a week. You'll be provided food, shelter and entertainment if you want."

"*WHISPERS* But not any lewd entertainment, I believe," whispered Akira.

"Okay," said Ken with a hint of relief in his voice. "But I have a question."

"What are you asking then?" Akira questioned.

"I don't understand.. how can people follow you.. when there's no order," said Ken. "What did you do to gain their fellowship?"

"Hmph," said Kuwobasa with a scoff. "Hope."

"Huh?" Ken inquired. "Hope?"

"Hope," said Akira once again. He folded his hands and began to lean back on his chair. "In a world like this, people need hope to survive, and I give them that hope."

"What about those coco loco people, what don't want or need hope?" Ken asked.

"Those who don't want hope aren't humans, so their a nuisance," said Kuwobasa.

"Is that so?" Ken inquired. "Then what happens to those people?"

"They die or be killed," said Akira coldly, with a cold expression.

"Woowww..!" Ken said in an surprised tone. "Won't that make you their enemies?"

*Rise*

Akira then got up from his seat. He walked over to Ken and stood behind him.

"It doesn't matter. To me at least," said Akira. "Good or evil, friend or foe. I don't care. I'll just rule them all.."

*Shot*

Something was then shot into Ken's neck from behind.

Ken's vision then suddenly goes blank and he fell unconscious.
