"As promised release them", Sam, Emile and Mia were present in the VVIP room. "I am a man of my word", Emile ordered his soldiers to bring Melodia and Haru to the room.
"Your performance earlier was wonderful. I was excited to find that you can use sword aura", with an amusing expression Emile said while crossing his legs. "Are you an adventurer? What rank? Let me guess, b rank".
".. rank, F rank adventurer", Sam said with a little hesitation. "Oh, F rank huh", Mia who was listening to their conversation was surprised hearing Sam's rank. A soldier came with Melodia and Haru following him. Sam saw the two of them and felt relieved.
"There, you have your friends and my promise is complete", Emile left after saying this. Haru, Melodia and Sam hugged each other while the two of them had a teary expression. "I thought I was a goner", Haru. "Thank you so much Sam", Melodia and Haru thanked him.
Mia saw the teary reunion and smiled. Coming closer to them, "It is good that you met them. Let's go", she led them back and introduced herself to them. "Thank you Mia for helping", they thanked her also.
"Escort these people to the gates and find a carriage that will take them to the city", Mia ordered her maid. "I am sorry miss, but the gates have been closed on royal order. No one can enter or leave for three days", the maid told in whispers.
Mia turned towards Sam and others, "It has been a long day and you all have suffered a lot. As a token of apology I will ask you to stay here and rest".
It was true that they were tired and finding a room at this time would be difficult. Also it was a golden opportunity for them to experience living in a palace and agreed unanimously.
"Wow I have never seen so many dishes at once. I don't even know the names of many", Melodia was eating as if it was her last meal. "Slow down", Sam saw her and laughed. Sam was also having a blast eating the tasty dishes and so did Ryuu.
Sam was surprised earlier when Ryuu had manifested himself. Turns out Ryuu could manifest himself temporarily for a short time. He was hiding beneath the table and Sam would pass him the dishes.
Mia was very happy seeing them eat heartily, "Glad that you like the food".
{ Thank you for the food }, Rose was also enjoying the food.
After the dinner they were guided to their rooms. Everyone got a room to themselves. Seeing bed after a long struggle Sam felt an unknown feeling and tear formed around his eyes. "Finally, I can rest", jumping on the bed Sam moved around to test the bed and was impressed by the comfort it provided and soon fell asleep.
Morning came and Sam was woke up by a maid. "Please follow me. Miss has called for you", Sam followed her to a small courtyard. A table was set in the middle and Mia was sitting there.
"Good morning, Sam", Sam was greeted with a smile. Mia gestured Sam to take a seat. "This tea is my favorite. It has a deep flavor and the aroma is a delight", taking a sip Mia said.
Taking a sip of the tea, Sam had his mind refreshed and felt energy pouring in. "I can feel energy swelling in me", Sam exclaimed. "This is a special tea which boosts inner energy", Mia explained.
"Yesterday was quite crazy. It was my first time witnessing that kind of fight and my heart was beating crazy", Mia's eyes shined bright. "Do you want to know about my adventures", Sam started boasting about himself in front of Mia. Like that two hours went.
"After hearing your stories, I can't help but want to experience my own adventure", Mia had a sad expression. "Maybe you can join me", Sam said this jokingly. Mia smiled but didn't say anything.
The rest of the day Sam spent exploring the palace. Mia had told them that no carriage was available so they have to remain here.
[Isn't this nice. We get to rest in such a good place after everything we went through], Sam was sitting on his bed. Night had arrived and he was bored. Melodia and Haru had remained in their room resting for the day.
*knock *knock Rose was standing on the door and asked for permission to enter. Seeing Sam's expression she asked him if he was alright. "Just a little bored. Why are you here?".
{ I was also bored and wanted to talk }, explaining herself Rose took something out from her pocket and gave it to Sam. "Candy?", Sam asked. { Sweet will uplift your mood. Eat it }.
"Thanks", Sam ate the candy and the two of them continued talking for sometime. A maid came and informed Sam that his bath water is ready. {I am also going to sleep. Good night}.
When Sam was coming back after taking the bath, he forgot his way and wandered to another building. "Where am I", Sam wondered and saw two soldiers, they were wearing black armours. Wanting to ask the way he followed them to a dark corridor where he lost them.
"I am sure they came here", scratching his head in frustration. It was then when Sei felt like someone was calling him. [Sam there. Let's go there] , Sam was puzzled but followed Sei's direction and arrived at a dead end.
"There is nothing here. Where are you asking me to take you?", seeing the dead end Sam complained.
[It is here. Whatever is present behind this wall is definitely calling me], Sei told Sam. "Huh, calling you", Sam was puzzled.
[Yes, I get the feeling that it is calling me. I can't explain properly], Sei explained his feeling. Knocking on the door Sam tried finding out but there was nothing. It sounded like a normal wall.
He heard some footsteps, "We will come back here later", Sam left before he was caught.
