~~BELLA'S POV~~
"Guess we have company," he said, and I looked up to find a gang of corrupt vampires.
"Did they orchestrate the accident?" I questioned.
"You can say so, but they aren't the brains behind it."
"Then is she?" I looked up to find a smile on his face.
"My baby seems to have picked up."
"My baby?" I looked up to still find a smile plastered on his face.
"Do you know what to do?"
"Yeah, fight them and make sure they go to hell."
"Nope, run," he said, taking my hand in his and pulling me towards the opposite direction. I could feel my heart pounding hard against my rib cage, and the groaning of those creatures grew even louder as they chased after us. For the very first time, I was experiencing something new: running away instead of confronting. For some reason, I found it weird.
"Alright, let's rest here," John said, and I looked down with wide eyes to see him panting for breath.
