Chapter 4 - Ch 4: The Dragon's Desire

Leon was shocked and confused.

He asked.

"My system? You want my system? How do you even know about my system?"

The dragon said.

"I can sense it. I can feel its power. I can hear its voice. It's a rare and precious thing. A thing that can grant wishes. A thing that can create miracles. A thing that I desire."

Leon asked.

"Why do you desire it? What would you do with it?"

The dragon said.

"I would use it to explore other worlds. To see new sights. To learn new things. To have new experiences. To have fun."

Leon asked.

"Fun? Is that all? Don't you have enough fun in this world?"

The dragon said.

"No, I don't. This world is boring. It's dull. It's predictable. It's the same thing over and over again. There's nothing new or exciting here. There's nothing that challenges me or interests me. There's nothing that makes me feel alive."

Leon asked.

"Then why don't you leave this world? Why don't you find a way to travel to other worlds?"

The dragon said.

"I can't. There's no way to do that. There's no portal or spell or device that can take me to other worlds. There's only your system. Your system is the only thing that can make my dream come true."

Leon asked.

"And what if I refuse to give you my system? What if I say no to your offer?"

The dragon said.

"Then I'll kill you. I'll rip you apart and burn you to ashes. I'll take your system by force and use it for myself."

Leon felt a surge of fear and anger.

He said.

"You can't do that. You can't take my system from me. It's mine. It's part of me. It's connected to me."

The dragon said.

"Is it? Then prove it. Show me how it works. Show me how you use it."

Leon hesitated and wondered what he should do.

He decided to show the dragon his status screen.

He tapped on his status screen and made it visible to the dragon.

He said.

"This is my status screen. It shows my name, level, health, mana, attributes, skills, and equipment."

The dragon looked at the screen and nodded.

He said.

"I see. And how do you change these things? How do you improve them?"

Leon said.

"I change them by completing missions, gaining experience, leveling up, finding items, or learning skills."

The dragon asked.

"And how do you get missions? How do you choose them?"

Leon said.

"I get missions from the system. The system gives me a mission every time I enter a new world. I can't choose them. The system chooses them for me."

The dragon asked.

"And how do you enter a new world? How do you travel between worlds?"

Leon said.

"I enter a new world by using the system's function called 'genre'. The system lets me choose from six genres of novels: fantasy, sci-fi, horror, romance, mystery, and action. Each genre has its own rules, challenges, rewards, and dangers."

The dragon asked.

"And how do you use this function? How do you activate it?"
