Chapter 6 - Ch 6: The Dragon's Choice

Leon thought hard about what he wanted from the dragon. He knew that he had only a minute left to make a decision. He knew that he had to choose wisely.

He considered his options.

He could refuse the dragon's offer and keep his system. He could try to survive the dragon's attack for one more minute and complete his mission. He could hope that the system would transport him back to his original world safely.

But he also knew the risks.

He knew that the dragon was powerful and angry. He knew that he had little chance of surviving the dragon's attack. He knew that he could die in this world and in his original world as well.

He could accept the dragon's offer and give up his system. He could trade his system for something else that he wanted. He could ask for money, power, fame, or anything else that he could think of.

But he also knew the drawbacks.

He knew that he would lose his system forever. He knew that he would never be able to travel to other worlds again. He knew that he would miss out on the fun and excitement of the system.

He wondered what he should do.

He wondered what he really wanted.

He looked at the dragon and saw its eager and impatient expression.

He made his choice.

He said.

"OK, I'll make a deal with you. I'll give you my system. But in return, I want you to come with me."

The dragon blinked and asked.

"Come with you? Where?"

Leon said.

"To my original world. To Earth."

The dragon asked.

"Why? What for?"

Leon said.

"Because I want you to be my friend. Because I want you to be my companion. Because I want you to be my partner."

The dragon asked.

"Your friend? Your companion? Your partner? What do you mean by that?"

Leon said.

"I mean that I want you to stay with me. I want you to live with me. I want you to share your life with me."

The dragon asked.

"And what will we do there? How will we live there?"

Leon said.

"We'll do whatever we want. We'll have fun. We'll explore. We'll learn. We'll grow. We'll live."

The dragon asked.

"And how will we fit in there? How will we hide there?"

Leon said.

"We'll use the system's function called 'appearance'. The system lets me customize my appearance, abilities, equipment, and companions. I can make you look like anything I want. I can make you look like a human, an animal, or anything else."

The dragon asked.

"And why would I agree to this? Why would I give up my form and my freedom for this?"

Leon said.

"Because it's better than staying here. Because it's more fun than being alone. Because it's more meaningful than being bored."

The dragon was silent for a moment.

It looked at Leon and saw his sincere and hopeful expression.

It looked at the status screen and saw the time limit.

[Time limit: 10 seconds.]

It made its choice.

It said.

"OK, I'll make a deal with you. I'll come with you. But in return, you have to promise me something."

Leon asked.

"What is it?"

The dragon said.

"You have to promise me that you'll never leave me. You have to promise me that you'll always be with me. You have to promise me that you'll always love me."

Leon was surprised and touched by the dragon's words.

He felt a warm and fuzzy feeling in his chest.

He smiled and said.

"I promise."

The dragon smiled back and said.

"Then it's a deal."

They shook hands and sealed their fate.

The system spoke in their heads.

[Deal accepted.]

[Chapter completed.]

[Transporting back to original world.]

They felt a jolt of energy as they were transported back to Earth.
