Davis walked majestically towards Dr. Dylan's office, without even sparing the young receptionist a glance, he entered the office.
Dylan was engrossed with the file in his hands, he was contemplating whether to carry out the surgery or not, the patient had a heart condition that required extensive surgery, but the patient's chances of survival were slim, it would be a miracle if the patient survived.
Davis took a seat in front of Dylan.
The two friends shook hands enthusiastically, they were happy to see each other again.
Though the both of them had a lot on their minds, they put their problems aside and smiled at each other.
"How are you enjoying your new life as a married man, my friend?." Dylan while pouring a drink of wine into Davis's glass.
Davis massaged his head and let out a sigh. "That's the reason I am here, I have a problem." His tone was heavy, he sounded a little depressed.
Dylan was shocked by Davis's tone, the matter must be serious to have such an impact on a great man like Davis.
"What is the matter, Davis?." Dylan asked in a serious tone.
Davis sipped on his drink, he fell silent for a second, then he walked towards the window.
Dylan followed him and stood behind him. He gently patted his shoulder.
"You can talk to me about anything, and if I can be of help, I promise I won't fail to help," Dylan assured his closest friend.
They always shared their problems and in the end, they always arrived at a solution.
"Today I went to Calla's office after receiving word from Marcus that Liam was there with a little girl that I met yesterday, I was curious about what connection the girl had with Liam and why they were at Calla's office, so I went there." He paused and looked at his friend.
"But before I could enter I enter the office, I overheard the little girl address my wife as 'Mom', I don't understand, why would Calla have a child and not inform me about her?."
Dylan was surprised at David's words, he knew his friend was angry at his wife and also confused, plus Davis wouldn't be able to take it if it turned out Calla had given birth to a child out of wedlock.
He squeezed Davis's shoulder gently.
"What are the facts that you have gathered, I mean what are the theories thy you have come up with?." He wanted to see the facts before giving him an answer.
Davis knew Dylan worked with facts before concluding, so he hurriedly told him everything that he has discussed with Garcia about the case.
Dylan nodded slowly as he heard Davis's words.
"You see my friend, there's is no problem here. I can't say the child is hers, and I can't also say the child isn't hers." He paused and went back to his desk.
"I can't say she adopted the child and I can't also say she didn't adopt the child."
Davis looked at Dylan with a puzzled expression. "Then why can you say?."
Dylan rubbed his hands together. "I suggest you take a strand of the child's hair and a strand of Calla's hair also, so I can run a DNA test. You could also ask her about it if you trust her enough to tell you the truth about the child.
Davis stood by the window as he thought about what Dylan had said, would Calla tell him the truth if he asked her about Amelie or should he just secretly carry out the DNA test? He wondered.
He walked back to Dylan's desk and sat on the chair.
"Thanks for the advice, Dylan. I have to find out the truth before nightfall, I can't wait for the DNA test, so I would have to ask her about it directly."
Dylan nodded, "Okay my friend, good luck with that."
The two friends shook hands and said their goodbyes.
In Calla's office…
The tension was heavy, her mood had changed drastically since the grand master informed her of her new task, how did he expect her to do such a thing?
She hadn't even imagined that was going to be the task he had for her while she was thinking about it earlier today.
Stacey didn't say a single word to her boss, to avoid getting a deadly glare from her.
She didn't know what the grand master told the boss that made her so angry, she hoped the boss didn't stay this way all day.
Maybe she should call Davis, he might be able to calm her down, but what if he enquired to know why made her angry, what would she say then? She thought to herself.
She must find another way to calm the boss.
Liam!
The name appeared in her mind. He would be able to calm Calla down for sure.
Stacey immediately took her phone to call Liam but Calla's next words made her stop right in her tracks.
"Call him and I would chop your head off." She said in a cold voice.
Stacey gulped slowly, her boss could be so scary, no wonder she was given the title of the most feared and respected one.
"I-I won't call him boss, sorry boss." She stuttered.
Calla just hissed at her and walked out of the office.
She had to clear her head and there was only one activity that could calm her down right now.
Shooting, killing something or someone!
Stacey immediately knew where the boss was going, she was planning to kill someone to calm herself down.
Omg! They were going criminal hunting!
Oh boy, why were they going hunting so early? Couldn't she wait until nightfall?
"Boss, please let's wait until nighttime before you can kill anyone," Stacey said in a pleading tone.
Calla turned around and glared at her. "I didn't ask you to follow me, I am going hunting alone." She said and walked out of the building.
Stacey rushed after her and so did six other men.
The teenagers looked at each other. Why was the boss going criminal hunting all of a sudden?
