Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Exit

He decides to leave Greed Island and return to the real world, where he can continue his journey as a Hunter and explore new horizons and challenges.

He uses The End card and chooses three cards to take with him: Breath of Archangel, which he can use to heal himself or others; Patch of Shore, which he can use to travel anywhere he wants; and Contact, which he can use to communicate with anyone he knows.

He holds the three cards in his hand and grasp the memory box in his pocket and feels their power and potential. He thinks about how they can help him in his future adventures and missions. He also thinks about the people he wants to see and talk to again, such as his friends, family, and mentors. He feels excited and eager to reconnect with them and share his experiences.

He then says his wish out loud, using The End card's power.

Kai: "I wish to leave Greed Island and return to the real world, with the memory box and these three cards."

He then sees a bright light enveloping him, as The End card activates. He feels a sensation of movement and transition, as he leaves the game world and enters the real world. He closes his eyes and smiles, ready for a new chapter in his life.

He bids farewell to Greed Island and its inhabitants, thanking them for their help and friendship.

He also contacts Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio, who are still in the game or elsewhere, telling them that he has completed the game and that he is leaving.

He uses his Contact card to call them one by one, using their ring names.

Kai: "Hey, Gon. It's me, Kai."

Gon: "Kai! How are you?"

Kai: "I'm good. I have some news for you."

Gon: "What is it?"

Kai: "I've completed the game. I've obtained The End card."

Gon: "Wow, really? That's amazing!"

Kai: "Thanks. It was a tough but rewarding journey."

Gon: "I bet. Congratulations, Kai!"

Kai: "Thank you, Gon. You're very kind."

Gon: "No problem. So, what are you going to do now?"

Kai: "I'm going to leave the game and return to the real world."

Gon: "Oh, I see. Well, I'm happy for you, Kai."

Kai: "Thank you, Gon. And thank you for being my friend and ally in this game. You've helped me a lot and taught me many things."

Gon: "You're welcome, Kai. And thank you for being my friend and ally too. You've inspired me and supported me."

Kai: "I'm glad to hear that. Well, Gon, I guess this is goodbye for now."

Gon: "Yeah, I guess so. But don't worry, we'll meet again soon."

Kai: "I hope so. Take care, Gon."

Gon: "You too, Kai. Goodbye."

They end the call and smile at each other.

Kai then calls Killua, Kurapika and Leorio, and tells them the same thing. They all congratulate him and wish him well. They also thank him for his friendship and cooperation. They promise to keep in touch and see each other again. They end the calls and smile at each other.

He leaves Greed Island and returns to the real world, where he is greeted by his and Killua's grandfather Zeno Zoldyck, who has been waiting for him.

He appears in a dark and empty room, where a console and a monitor are set up. He sees Zeno Zoldyck sitting on a chair, holding a remote control.

Zeno: "Welcome back, Kai. I see you've done it."

Kai: "Hello, Grandpa Zoldyck. Yes, I've done it. I've completed the game."

Zeno: "Congratulations, Kai. You've accomplished something that few people have ever done. You've obtained The End card."

Kai: "Thank you, Grandpa Zoldyck. It was a hard but rewarding journey."

Zeno: "I'm sure it was. How long did it take you?"

Kai: "It took me about two years."

Zeno: "Two years? That's quite a long time. But you've finished the game faster than most people I know."

Kai: "Really? Well, I guess I was lucky and determined."

Zeno: "You were more than that, Kai. You were skilled and resourceful. You've proven yourself to be a remarkable hunter."

Kai then shares with him what did he achieved in the game.

Kai: "Grandpa Zoldyck, I have so much to tell you. You won't believe what I've done and seen in the game."

Zeno: "I'm all ears, Kai. Tell me everything."

Kai: "Well, first of all, I discovered that I have a secondary nen type. I'm not just an enhancer, but also a specialist."

Zeno: "A specialist? That's rare and impressive. How did you find out?"

Kai: "I found out when I met a nen teacher named Biscuit. She helped me train and improve my nen skills. She also taught me how to use Gyo, In, En, Shu, Ko, Ken, Ryu and Hatsu."

Zeno: "Biscuit? I know her. She's a famous hunter and a master of nen. She's also an old friend of mine. She's a good teacher and a tough trainer."

Kai: "She is. She made me work hard and pushed me to my limits. But she also helped me develop my second hatsu, called Dragon Eye."

Zeno: "Dragon Eye? What does it do?"

Kai: "It allows me to see the future for a few seconds. It also enhances my perception, En and intuition. It's very useful for fighting and avoiding danger."

Zeno: "That sounds amazing. And how did you make it?"

Kai: "I made it by combining my enhancement and specialization abilities. I also used my own blood as a medium and a condition."

Zeno: "Your own blood? That's risky and painful."

Kai: "It is. But it also makes it more powerful and personal. It's a part of me and my nen."

Zeno: "I see. Well, I'm proud of you, Kai. You've created a unique and impressive hatsu."

Kai: "Thank you, Grandpa Zoldyck. But that's not all. I also had many adventures and challenges in the game."

Zeno: "Oh? Like what?"

Kai: "Like exploring the different regions and cities of the island. Like meeting different people and creatures. Like collecting different cards and items. Like fighting different enemies and allies."

Zeno: "That sounds exciting. Tell me more."

Kai: "Well, for example, I visited Masadora, the city of magic. There, I learned about spells and spell cards. I also met some friendly players who helped me get some cards."

Zeno: That's nice.

Kai: "I visited Soufrabi, the city of love. There, I learned about love potions and love cards. I also met some lovely ladies who tried to seduce me."

Zeno: That's funny.

Kai: "I visited Antokiba, the city of prizes. There, I learned about contests and prize cards. I also met some fierce competitors who challenged me to various games."

Zeno: That's interesting.

Kai: "I visited Dorias, the city of games. There, I learned about games and game cards. I also met some clever players who tested me with various puzzles."

Zeno: That's cool.

Kai: "I visited Limeiro, the city of flavor. There, I learned about food and food cards. I also met some delicious dishes that satisfied my appetite."

Zeno: "That's yummy."

Kai: "I visited Aiai, the city of lies. There, I learned about lies and lie cards. I also met some deceptive people who tried to trick me with various scams."

Zeno: That's tricky.

Kai: "I visited Bizeff, the city of trade. There, I learned about trade and trade cards. I also met some greedy merchants who tried to bargain with me for various goods."

Zeno: "That's annoying."

Kai: "I visited Kazsule's Alliance Base, where I joined an alliance of players who were working together to complete the game."

Zeno: "That's smart."

Kai: "Finally, I visited Razor's Base, where I fought Razor himself for The End card."

Zeno: "That's brave."

Kai: "Then I reachedthe treasure room, where I saw all the treasures that the game creators and other hunters have left behind."

Zeno: "That's amazing."

Kai: "Then I chose three cards to take with me from the game:

Patch of Shore, which can create a portal to any place in the world;

Contact, which can call anyone I know by their ring name;

and Breath of Archangel, which can heal any wound or illness."

Zeno: "That's useful."

Kai: "And then I chose one treasure to take with me from the game:

Memory Box, which can show me the memories of the game creators and the hunters or nen users who played the game."

Zeno: "That's fascinating."

Kai: "And that's how I completed the game, Grandpa Zoldyck."

Zeno: "Wow, Kai. That's incredible. You've done so much and seen so much in the game. You've had a wonderful and unforgettable experience."

Kai: "I have, Grandpa Zoldyck. And I'm grateful for it. Thank you for giving me this opportunity and this mission."

Zeno: "You're welcome, Kai. And thank you for fulfilling it. You've made me proud and happy."

Kai: "Thank you, Grandpa Zoldyck. You're very kind and generous."

Zeno: "No problem, Kai. You're very talented and deserving."
