He arrives at Meteor City the next two days, by taking a bus from the nearest airport. He is greeted by a sight of piles of trash and debris, covering the entire city. He sees people living in makeshift shelters, wearing ragged clothes, and scavenging for food and resources. He smells the stench of garbage and pollution, filling the air. He hears the noise of machines and explosions, echoing in the distance.
As Kai enters Meteor City, a bustling and diverse urban center, he finds himself surrounded by a maze of streets, each area having its own unique character. The city can be roughly divided into several distinct districts, each with its own vibe and atmosphere.
He decides to visit the different areas of the city, and see if he can find some high potential children. He uses his hunter senses and instincts, to detect any signs of aura or talent among the residents. He also uses his second hatsu dragon eye, a special ability that allows him to see the potential and talent of anyone he looks at, by showing him a color and a number that represent their level and type of aura. He goes to various places in the city.
The Slums, where he sees many poor and homeless people, living in shacks and tents, surrounded by trash and filth. He feels pity and sympathy for them, but he also senses some hidden gems among them. He sees some children who have bright and high numbers, indicating that they have strong and versatile aura. He also sees some children who have rare and unique colors, indicating that they have special and unusual aura. He approaches them and tries to recruit them.
The Market, where he sees many vendors and customers, selling and buying various goods and services, ranging from food and clothes, to weapons and drugs. He feels curiosity and interest for them, but he also senses some danger and trouble among them. He sees some children who have dark and low numbers, indicating that they have weak and limited aura. He also sees some children who have mixed and changing colors, indicating that they have unstable and unpredictable aura. He avoids them and tries to steer clear of them.
The Arena, where he sees many fighters and spectators, competing and watching various matches and tournaments, involving different styles and rules. He feels excitement and admiration for them, but he also senses some skill and challenge among them. He sees some children who have sharp and medium numbers, indicating that they have average and balanced aura. He also sees some children who have clear and fixed colors, indicating that they have stable and consistent aura. He watches them and tries to test them.
He went to the northern district, tall skyscrapers scrape the sky, casting long shadows over the bustling streets below. This area is known as the corporate district, where multiple business empires compete for dominance. The relentless ambition and cutthroat nature of this place always keeps our protagonist on high alert, as it is here that he often finds children who possess an innate talent for manipulation and negotiation.
As he moves to the western district, the atmosphere changes dramatically. The commerce and trade area is filled with open-air markets, where the scent of spices and the lively chatter of merchants fill the air. This place is a beacon for resourcefulness, as our protagonist often discovers children with exceptional talent for bartering and entrepreneurship.
Further south lies a district shrouded in mystery, known as the underground market. It's a dark and dangerous place, attracting individuals involved in illicit activities. Here, the Kai's hunter instincts are on full display, like a predator tracking prey. With the help of his second hatsu, Dragon Eye, he is able to see beyond the surface and identify children with hidden talents for stealth, combat, or survival.
Venturing even deeper into the city, the protagonist enters the residential district. This is where the heart of Meteor City lies, where families and individuals strive to survive amidst scarce resources. It is here that the Kai's determination is tested, as he searches for children who possess a remarkable aptitude for resilience and adaptability.
Moving towards the eastern district, the technology hub of Meteor City unfolds before Kai. Neon lights illuminate the night as innovation thrives in this technological utopia. With his sharp hunter senses, he can detect children with an innate understanding of technology and an exceptional knack for problem-solving.
With his heightened senses and Dragon Eye, Kai roams the different areas of Meteor City, searching for any signs of high potential in the children. He carefully watches their interactions, observes their skills, and listens to their stories, always on the lookout for those with exceptional talent. All the while, his intuition guides him, allowing him to distinguish genuine potential from mere skill.
Through his exploration of Meteor City, Kai is driven by a desire to uncover and nurture the untapped potential he encounters. Guided by his hunter instincts and enhanced by his second hatsu, Dragon Eye, he becomes a beacon of hope, seeking to uplift the future generation and unleash their hidden talents upon the world.
He would use his charisma and charm, to approach and talk to the children, and see if they are interested in learning from him. He also uses his money and gifts, to persuade and motivate them, and see if they are willing to follow him.
he meets a boy, who is about 10 years old, and who has a knack for stealing and escaping. He sees him pickpocketing a man in the street, and then running away by using parkour on the different rubbish from the angry mob. He follows him to his hideout, where he confronts him.
"Hey, kid. That was quite a show you put on back there. You're pretty good at stealing, huh?" Kai says casually.
"Who are you? What do you want? Are you one of them?" Leo says nervously, pointing his knife at Kai.
"No, no. I'm not one of them. I'm just a traveler, passing by. I'm not here to hurt you or take anything from you. I'm here to offer you something." Kai says calmly.
"What? What do you have to offer me?" Leo says suspiciously.
"Well, first of all, I have this." Kai says, taking out a wad of cash from his pocket. "This is enough money to buy you food, clothes, and anything else you need for a long time. How does that sound?"
Leo's eyes widen as he sees the money. He feels tempted by the offer, but he also feels wary of the stranger.
"What's the catch? What do you want in return?" Leo says cautiously.
"Nothing much. Just your time and attention. You see, I'm looking for some talented and promising children like you, who have potential to become hunters or assassins. I want to train you and teach you my skills, and then send you to a place where you can have a better life and future." Kai says sincerely.
"Hunters or assassins? What are those?" Leo says curiously.
"They are people who travel the world, earn money and fame, and have fun. They are people who use their skills and abilities for various purposes, such as hunting down animals or criminals, finding treasures or secrets, or protecting or killing people. They are people who live by their own rules and laws, and who have their own choices and paths." Kai says passionately.
"That sounds amazing. But why would you do that for me? Why would you care about me?" Leo says doubtfully.
"Because I see potential in you that would make you reach other places than here and achieve more in life. I want to give you a chance to change your life, and to see the world and I want to be your teacher and your friend." Kai says honestly.
Leo is moved by Kai's words. He feels a connection with him, and a trust in him. He also feels a curiosity and a desire to see the world, and to learn new things.
"Really? You mean that?" Leo says softly.
"Yes, I do. So what do you say? Will you join me? Will you let me train you and teach you? Will you let me help you?" Kai says gently.
Leo thinks for a moment, then he nods his head.
"Yes. Yes, I will." Leo says firmly.
Kai smiles warmly, and extends his hand.
"Great. Welcome aboard. I'm Kai." Kai says happily.
Leo smiles back, and shakes his hand.
"I'm Leo." Leo says gratefully.
He finds a few children who catch his eye, and who agree to join him. He takes 60 of them to a secluded and safe place, where he begins to train them and teach them his skills. He gives them a hellish training, that tests their physical, mental, and emotional limits. He makes them run, jump, climb, fight, dodge, shoot, and how to use their aura. He tells them that if they pass his training, he will send them to the Zoldyck Mansion, where they can have a better life and future. He tells them that they will become hunters or assassins, who can travel the world, earn money and fame, and have fun. He tells them that they will become his students and friends, who can share his adventures and challenges.
But he also tells them that if they fail his training, he will leave them here in Meteor City. He tells them that they will have to survive on their own, in this harsh and hopeless place. He tells them that they will have to face many dangers and enemies, who will try to kill them or use them. He tells them that they will have to make their own choices and paths, in this lawless and chaotic place.
He hopes that his training will make them strong enough to survive in Meteor City, even if he leaves them behind. He hopes that they will use their skills and abilities for good purposes, even if they live in a bad place. He hopes that they will remember him as a teacher and a friend, even if they never see him again.
He wants them to be happy and successful, and to have a bright and meaningful future. He wants them to be free and independent, and to have their own dreams and goals. He wants them to be kind and compassionate, and to help others in need. He wants them to be grateful and respectful, and to honor their roots and origins.
He wonders if some of them will become the next Phantom Troupe in the future. He wonders if they will follow the footsteps of the previous members, who were born and raised in Meteor City or if they will become thieves and killers, who will cause trouble and harm to others. He wonders if he will ever meet them again as allies or enemies.
He is curious and intrigued by the Phantom Troupe, and their motives and actions. He is impressed and challenged by their skills and abilities, and their reputation and fame. He is conflicted and conflicted by their ethics and morals, and their loyalty and betrayal. He is unsure and uncertain about his relationship with them, and his role and responsibility towards them.
In the span of 9 months, he trained the kids to master Nen and use it for their survival. He also took on several missions in Meteor City, where he eliminated a total of 12 gangs or criminals who disrupted the order or preyed on the innocent. He found a new home and a new meaning in this place, where only the strong and the smart could survive.
He is prepared to send them to the Zoldyck Mansion, if they pass his training. He is prepared to leave them in Meteor City, if they fail his training. He is prepared to face any consequences or reactions that may arise from his actions. He is prepared to deal with any surprises or changes that may occur in his plans.
