It was already morning of the next day. Mia didn't know what time it was but she could feel the morning sun hit her face and her back that weren't cover with her nighties. She felt so tired to stand. Her and Ava stayed up late talking and making fun about the guest they had at the party last night. She was glad that this was not a normal morning were she had to wake up and act like the perfect daughter. She slept at the suite with ava while Leo and Ava's date went home since they had an important meeting to attend (according to them).
Mia, still in her fantasy world, and still enjoying the luxury of having to stay in bed pass her usual time, cursed immediately her phone ringing out loud count out her moment of Bliss. She thought of ignoring it but it just kept ringing.
"Shut that up, Mia" Ava's sleepy voice sounded across the room. Mia cursed as she streached out her hands and grabbed the phone from the bedside table.
"Mia Edwin speaking" her sleepy voice said without her bothering to check who was calling.
"Mia Edwin. Where the hell have you been? Do you know what time it is? Why ain't you here? What an irresponsible child. Gosh!!!" Mrs edwin's angry voice said all at once without waiting to take a breath. Sometimes, mia wonders how she could talk so fast.
"Mum!!" Mia sat up immediately she noticed that it was her mum's voice. She checked the time an saw it was 12 o'clock in the afternoon. "I'm officially dead" she says to herself. Ava's stared at her and mouthed "what's wrong?" To her not wanting who ever that's on the other line to hear her voice . "Mum's pissed" she mouthed back, looking all scared and worried.
"I'm giving you 10 mins to get here, mia. If I don't see you in 10, you'll be sorry" her mum said over the phone before wanting to end the call but Mia's reply put her actions to a stop.
"No mum". Mrs Edwin wasn't sure she heard her daughter right. " What did you say?". Mrs Edwin's angry voice asked. Mia took a deep breath and responded to her "I ain't coming home, mum." Ava held her hands in hers as a sign of comfort and encouragement. After all, she was the one that advice her to stand up to her mum.
"And why's that?" Mrs Edwin asked still not getting where Mia was getting her courage from.
"Because I don't want to. As a matter of fact, I won't be coming home for a pretty long time. Take care." She didn't wait for her mum's response before ending the call. She knew they would try reaching her and even tracking her so she switch on her "do not disturb mood" on her phone and kept the phone back of the bedside table. She turned to catch Ava staring as her like a proud mother. She already know the reason so she didn't bother asking. Instead, she told her "shut it, Ava. I don't want to hear it". She said before pulling the duvet cover over her head. Ava's laughed sounded all over the room before she finally settled down on the back and went back to sleep.

"Mia, wake up. We're going to be late". Ava's said while trying to wake her sleeping friend. Turns out they both went back to sleep and now it's 3 in the afternoon. They won't be able to do everything they planned for today but they still have time to do some of it and Ava was not willing to waste the short time they had left.
"Ava?" Mia's sleepy asked. She still had sleep in her system so it was hard for her to make out what was happening. Left for her, she would stay in bed more.
"Yes mia. It's me. Come on get up." Ava shake her a bit in an attempt to wake her up fully.
"Just give me few minutes" Mia murmured against the pillow.
"You really are a dummy when you've still got sleep in your system" Ava said frustratingly. She stood up and when to the fridge in their suite and brought out a chill water. She smiled knowingly to her self and walked back to the bed where sleeping Mia lead vulnerably. "Don't kill me mia" she whispered before pour the chill water all over Mia's face and hair.
"Ahhhhhg!!!" Mia cried out before jumping off the bed like it was on fire. "Are you crazy?" She asked Ava while looking like she would murder someone any sec from now.
" To answer your question, no" Ava said while smiling from ear to ear, looking proud of herself since her plan worked.
"Not cool Ava" Mia's angry voice echoed in the room. Just by looking at her, Ava knew that she was indeed mad at her. She felt bad but she knew she had no other choice since they were running late already.
"I'm sorry Mai but you wouldn't wake up and...."
"And that was the best ideal you could come up with?" Angry mia interrupted her.
"Yeah, I'm sorry" she said looking sincere with her apology. Mia couldn't help forgiving her. She knew Ava was just looking out for her but that still doesn't change the fact that she poured cold water all over her body when she knew fully well just how much she hates staying in wet outfit. She turned and walked into the bathroom to take her shower without saying any word to Ava.
It took her time to be done with the shower. She was finally finished and Ava could not be more grateful to God for dragging Mia's ass out of the bathroom. She sat down in one of the chairs while taking her time to dry get hair.
"Hey....." Ava said while taking slow calculative steps towards her.
"Hey...." Mia replied her while still focus on drying her hair.
"I'm sorry about the whole cold water shit. I didn't mean to scare you, I....."
"It's fine Ava. I know. I'm sorry I overrated. I just.....got really scared" Mia explained. She turned around and gave Ava one of her weak smiles.
"Come here" Ava said before crashing her with one of her bear hugs. "I love you, Mia". She said while still hugging her.
"I love you too stupid". They both burst out laughing.
"Okay, there's a dress on top the bed. Pick the one you're most comfortable with. I've got a surprise for you". Ava said while smiling from ear to ear. She felt so excited to finally go to the places she wanted to go with her best friend. She felt like a proud mum for finally making Mia crawl out of her shell and she plan on making Mia enjoy every bit of it.
"Ava.... okay, fine. Thanks love" Mia smiled genuinely. She really did appreciate the fact that Ava was her friend. She didn't know what would have become of her miserable life if Ava weren't around. With that said, she turned towards the direction of the dress and went to check them out while ava walked to the shower to take a bath.

*Where again did you say we are heading to" mia asked for the 10th time. She knew what ever Ava planned will be good but...she isn't used to Ava kind of fun and she was just genuinely worried of everything and anything that could go wrong. More than anything, she wanted to turn around and head back to the suite but she knew that, that wasn't an option.
"We'll be there soon. FYI we've got alot of places to be so stop nagging." Ava said with amusement laced in her voice. She understood the fact that this was not Mia kind of things and she had no problem being patient with her.
"Are you sure this dress ain't too inappropriate? Does it really look good on me?" Mia's worried voice asked again. Ava let out a short laughter before answering her.
"Baby girl you're causing hold up with that dress on. Just chill and go with the flow. Okay?" Ava asked her looking at her to make sure she was genuinely okay with his whole idea of leaving her comfort zone.
"Yeah, Okay. Turn the music volume up".
"Yes ma'am" Ava replied before they both burst out laughing and singing on top their voices through out their drive to their unknown destination.
