"And where do you think you're coming from young lady?" Mrs. Edwin's voice stopped Mia dead in her tracks.
"Ava's house. I thought I told you I was going over to here" she quickly defended.
"You thought wrong and since when were you given right to leave and return when ever you want?" Mrs Edwin asked, her face showing just how displeased she was about Mia's sudden behaviour and mischief.
"I'll do well to ask you next time mother!" The sarcasm in her tone could not be missed. She turned on her hells, in a hurry to leave and head back to her room. She knew her mum was no fool, sooner than later she will definitely catch up to the fact that Ava's place weren't the place she has been off to lately.
