Within few minutes, Ava and Mia arrived at Ava's father's club. Just like every other club, it was fully packed and filled up. Everyone was required to show their identification card at the entrance of the club. Unlike other clubs, this club had sections. One part were for the normal people that came to part and get lost. Then, there's an underground which was mainly for stripper, it was a strip club. And just above the normal club setting were another setting were only specific people are allowed to enter. Everyone knew that the Chris club was not a place for a girl like Mia. They walked few steps towards the entrance of the club before Mia stopped on her tracks and asked "what is this place Ava?" She asked not caused she was scared. She knew that Ava will never hurt her. She asked cause she knew that places like this were not for girls like her. She could feel it in the air that she didn't honestly belong there.
"A club, Mia. One of my dad's actually. You wanted to have fun and leave your comfort zone, right?" Ava asked her while staring at her to know if she's still up for it.
"Yes, but....."
"No buts, Mia. Now, let's go." She said while Linking hands with Mia and taking her into the club. The huge man at the entrance bowed at the sight of them. "Hey Zee. How are you today?" Ava asked smiling to the man. Zee have been Ava's buddy since way back. The first time Ava got into trouble in the club, Zee saved her ass and promised not to inform her dad, which he kept to.
"Hey princess, you've got an unusual company today, I see." Zee said while eyeing Mia up and down, obviously noticing that she doesn't belong to that kind of place.
"Hey, she's my best friend" she replied proudly.
"Lost little birdy?" He asked
"Something like that" came her reply.
"You better keep her close. This ain't no place for little birdies".
"I'm no little birdie" Mia said, trying to defend herself. She didn't like the fact that he was addressing her like a weak person. She didn't want to seem weak, she hates it when she seems weak and helpless to people.
"Sure you ain't" came his reply to her. He turned his attention back to Ava and said "she seems like a spitfire. I think I like her".
"Yeah, she really is". Ava said staring at Mia proudly.
"Well, go on" he said stepping out of the way so they could gain entrance to the club.
Ava nod and went in with Mia. The club was really packed. People were drinking, dancing or making out in different angle of the club. Some where even drunk already. Mia felt overwhelmed and so out of place. "I know this is all new to you but don't worry, I got you. Try sticking to my side at all times no matter what". Ava told her. She could only nod as her eye survey the place. The clubhouse was really big. She wondered what goes on upstairs, or is it just like it is down here?
"Let's start with drinks, shey we?" Ava asked without waiting for her reply, she walked towards the bartender, not without making sure Mia was right beside her.
Few minutes into drinking, Ava took Mia's hands and dragged her into the dance floor where they both danced and moved their bodies like nothing in the world matters. At that moment, Mia felt free and satisfied. She have never felt so.... Free and happy before. She felt like she could do whatsoever she wanted at this moment. Away from them, at the upper part of the club sat a man with his drink in his hand as he silently watched the red hair girl that was dancing so freely. He still don't know why she interest him so much. She kept him rooted to a spot on several occasions when he had something else to do. He can not remember the last thing they said in the meeting or what they were talking about anymore. His full attention was on the red hair girl that was currently driving him insane. Oh, when he finally gets her, he would make her pay for occupying his mind and making him think of wild things when he had a disturbing matter at hand he needed to attend to. He needed the girl close to him. He needed to think of a plan to bring her to him, rather than him to her. At that moment, he smiled to himself before dropping his drink on the table and turning to Chris, thereby breaking and interrupting their talk. "I heard your daughter is here". He said to Chris. At the mention of his daughter's name, chris was caught by surprise. What in God's babe does the devil want with his daughter.
"Sorry?" Came chris reply. He wanted to make sure he heard him right. What does his daughter have to do with their earlier conversation? He couldn't help but ask himself. "God no!!! Not my daughter" he silently cried out.
"Chris, you're fully aware of my hate for reputation". He told him while sitting lazily on the 3sitters sit he was on, while balancing his back to the chair. One who saw him now, would think that he had no care in the world, but if only they knew who he truly is.
"Yes sir. I'm not certain of my daughter's current location." Chris lied, silently praying that he would drop the talk about his daughter.
There was a long silent before he spoke again. "Isn't that incompetent of you?" He asked Chris.
"No. My daughter is a well behaved child. She will never commit any reckless act". He said trying to defend his daughter. The unknown man watched him in silence for a while before taking a slip from his drink.
"Very well. I must admit, your confidence towards your daughter is very charming and admirable. It makes me want to meet her, maybe get to know her in the process. What do you think?"
When Chris couldn't give an answer to his question about what he thought, he continued "why don't you call her? It won't hurt to know that she is safe. After all, crazy things are really happening these days. Am I right, Theo? He asked his right hand Man/best friend that was sitting opposite him. The man who was known for always dressing to cover every part of his body, could only nod.
Chris honestly didn't know what the man was up to, but whatsoever he was planning, he didn't like it one bit. Although he didn't like it, he knew he had no choice. He hesitantly pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed his daughter's name, while praying to God that she does not pick. He was fully aware that she was just below them but he didn't want the devil coming close to his only pride and reason to live. He prayed silently that this will be one of the days when Ava will decide not to pick but the voice of his daughter at the other end of the phone, shattered all hope he had. "Best friend!!!!!!" He tore his eye away from the table, and looked towards the devil sitting across him and woo!!!! He was staring at him with a deadly smile, as if he knew that she did pick for sure.
