How could he? How dare he?
How could he have been so cruel to Georgia? The book wasn't a long novel. As a reader, she had checked how many pages the book was and came to the result of 300+ pages.
Deborah was able to read 68 pages because she couldn't tolerate how Georgia was reacting to how the Alpha was maltreating her. She was too vulnerable and tolerant. She did accept his rejection but became extremely stupid after that day and cried over unnecessary things.
However, Deborah only read what the author narrated in the book but there was more to Georgia's life than what was written in the book and she never read when the Alpha was almost making out in his office with her colleagues.
So he was the kind of boss who couldn't resist his employees' appearance and while getting seduced by them purposely, he easily got intimated and did the deed with them.
But Georgia was his mate. Why didn't he consider how she'd feel about it if she ever found out that he didn't care a bit about her emotions?
Georgia found herself throwing sand forward. She was furious at everything. She was mad at the previous Georgia getting pregnant by an unknown wolf and having to leave her pack because she knew her father would kick her out first and even when she wanted them to find her, they just forgot about who she was.
The previous Georgia just wasn't important to anyone but her son. She was planning to live for her son because she was exhausted from being rejected by everyone. Was she destined to receive hatred from everyone, even ordinary humans?
Georgia's voice increased in volume as she screamed out the heaviness she piled up in her heart. It felt this way. It felt as if the burden was really hers.
"Is it too much to ask for another mate?!" Georgia wailed. "A mate that wouldn't hurt me but love me to fix all the pain in my heart?! I don't have to be strong, do I?"
Georgia's voice slowly returned to its normal volume as she lowered her head to swallow. "And if I'm not strong, I'll work hard to be strong. Not for Theodore but for a second mate I'd be expecting from the goddess. All I have to do is believe and start training even while working," Georgia said to herself with determination and placed her palms behind her to lean back on her hands.
Georgia decided to enjoy the moment by the sea without thinking about Theodore or what she had gone through because of him. Perhaps she should only think about her little boy and his birthday next Saturday.
... ...
However, Georgia's pace was stopped by the Alpha's voice in his office when he was kissing an employee. She had to halt but didn't turn around to face them.
While facing the door, she saw her colleague walk out of the room as if nothing ever happened. With clenched jaws, Georgia glared at her figure until she disappeared through the door.
Garcia was groaning in pain within her, multiplying the weakness that engulfed Georgia's body. Hence, Georgia found it hard to compose herself in front of her Alpha without trembling and bursting into tears.
"Turn around, Georgia?"
Hearing his command, she made a turn, now facing his direction but with her head down. She feared his action because she didn't want to be heartbroken
"When are you heading home?" He asked as the night was already drawing near.
"I believe I'll leave the premises in the next twenty minutes after handling some things," Georgia answered, feeling relieved that he only spoke about work-related matters.
Georgia heard him make a call about her not being available for the task she was supposed to handle. Then, he faced her after the call. "There," he directed her to a bunch of files.
"Yes, Alpha," Georgia stole a glance at his black eyes.
Theodore was dressed in a tailored suit attire, made especially for him as she had heard from her colleagues. They mentioned that every piece of clothing he wore was made particularly for him. No counterfeit and no other brands.
Theodore's styles were unique and rare. No one dared to wear the same clothes as him as was an Alpha and a famous CEO. He was handsomely rich.
Theodore's hair was black, slicked to the back of his head and reaching just below his neck nape, almost reaching above his shoulders.
Alpha was tall, handsome, and hot. He seemed to visit the gym often, causing his dashing manly structure.
Her mate was a handsome man but deep inside him was an ugly beast.
"Go, Georgia, and stop looking at me," he said as if tired of her looking at his face for more than three seconds.
"You haven't told me what to do?"
"Bring those files along with you and follow me," he uttered and dipped his hands inside his pockets, walking out of his office.
When Georgia reached the elevator with him, Theodore stopped her from entering and instructed her to use the stairs as fast as she could because he'd be waiting for her at the parking lot.
Georgia couldn't believe her ears. As the door closed, she walked closer, stopping it. "Please, Alpha. I didn't mean to intrude earlier, I knocked before entering. Please don't punish me this way."
"That's what a weak would say," Theodore answered and tapped the button again, pushing her so she wouldn't block the door from closing.
"Please, sir, I'm begging you. The stairs are long, sir, please spare me!!"
Theodore's ears were however deaf to hear her words so Georgia turned to the stairs and saw the number pasted on the wall. 22.
She was on the 22nd floor and had to descend to the last floor. The thought made her sick but then she told herself that she could do it.
But the moment Georgia reached the 16th floor, her legs began to shake, and she started to feel her body being drained. However, she kept on moving and sat for a little while to regain her strength.
It took Georgia more than an hour to make it to the first floor and when she did, she almost collapsed, gasping for water as well.
Georgia found her way to the parking lot and found her boss only to get scolded for taking so much time. Georgia looked into his eyes and trembled before him.
"But you've rejected me, isn't that enough?" Georgia asked him, panting and yearning to taste water.
"Take this," Theodore ignored her question and handed his car keys to her. "I'm sure you can drive so…drive me home," he said, now waiting for her to open the door for him.
Georgia satisfied him and went around his car to sit in the driver's seat after he settled down in the back seat. She placed the files on the passenger seat only to see a bottle of water in his car.
Georgia asked if he could offer her the water because she was thirsty but he didn't respond to her request as he was busy with his cell phone so she decided to just focus on the road.
