Georgia walked into the new place she'd be staying with her son. It was awkward because she didn't ask to live with them.
They insisted that she join them, especially when her son hadn't met his father yet. Her good deed and willingness to sacrifice herself in the past led her to find favor in the hands of a happy family.
The happy family was the beta family, the Shine family. She was welcomed warmly and escorted to her room and her son's room.
Jonathan had to start school a bit too early because his mother was too busy making a living for the both of them that she became unavailable to babysit her child.
When she realized that her son, a wolf, was supposed to grow and become a powerful wolf, she decided to join the beta's pack after meeting Emily in a coffee shop, where she happened to be a waitress.
Emily insisted on helping her and now she was in their house and was a member of the Dark Moon pack. When Monday arrived, after she dropped her son at the nursery school, Georgia followed Daniel for an interview.
Her educational standards made her qualified enough to become a junior manager even without being a trainee to receive promotions.
She seemed to have enough knowledge with her education and work experiences. However, that Monday, 4th of June 2018, Daniel suggested that she met her Alpha as he had shown her mercy and granted her a stable life.
Georgia agreed with the thought of her entering his office with flowers as a sign of her gratitude but the moment she felt that familiar sensation when she reached the corridor to his office, she knew that something was going to happen.
The feeling became stronger as she proceeded further with Daniel's guidance. When she reached the door to her Alpha's office, her heart began to race as it wasn't just about her offering him flowers as her sign of gratitude, it was her fearing the possibility of the Alpha rejecting her.
Georgia's mindset was full of negativity because of the way she grew up. She gets anxious and expects nothing but negative results with almost everything she did in her life.
When she was in labor, she expected death. When she applied for a job, she hoped for a rejection but things don't always end up the way she anticipated it to be.
Hence, she immediately thought of being rejected if the feeling about her finding her mate was right. After knocking, they received a commandment to enter the room.
Georgia followed Daniel into the room even when she was feeling extremely restless. In a few seconds, she set her eyes on her new Alpha.
And her wolf howled in excitement that Georgia didn't know when she smiled at him. She saw him smile at her that minute but the next moment after being introduced by his beta, he sent Daniel out of the office and stood up from his office chair only to approach her.
It felt just like that night when her mate saw her naked. Could he be the father of her child? Could he have been the wolf that took her to a different world on her first time of intimacy?
She couldn't even tell and it bothered and angered her a lot because she had so many things to tell and ask him. He smelled so powerful, so powerful that she just couldn't stop smiling and blushing at the same time.
His hands were in his pocket as he stood before her. But his silence made her so scared and worried, causing anxiety again. She felt sick even when she was beside her mate.
The feeling was mutual, she could tell because her wolf could not stop jumping in excitement inside her. This overfilled her with joy but still with fear.
"Georgia."
She heard his voice for the first time, which surged this chilling sensation in her. However, she could hear the dullness in his voice. And then, she left her shoulders down.
Georgia looked up at him. "You are weak," he uttered as if waiting for her to look at him. "And I don't want a weak partner. That's enough for you to know that I don't want you," he simply said and took the flowers from her only to toss them in the trash can located in a corner of the office.
His uninterested action killed a lot of things in her heart. "At least you could have appreciated the flowers, they were a gesture of me thanking you," Georgia, trying not to cry, expressed the sadness engulfing her heart.
It wasn't a nice feeling to be rejected. Some wolves couldn't take it and ended up dying because it was just so painful. It was way more painful than shifting for the first time.
The colossal pain of shifting only involved the bones and body structures but the heart was a different case. The heart controlled every part of the body alongside the brain. Our feelings are being sensed because of the heart.
At this point, her heart was broken. She could feel the damage his words made to her heart but he was right, she was a weak wolf. Although she wasn't an omega, she just wasn't fit to be a Luna.
Her family never involved her in things pertaining to the wolf's life because they believed she was just a she-wolf who would end up in another wolf's arms.
Her family barely showed their affection and care but it just didn't hurt as much as it does now. He didn't even reject her properly. He obviously didn't care about her feelings.
"I hate flowers," he managed to say because even his beta didn't know that about him.
"Why does it hurt this much?" Georgia asked her wolf but outwardly, reaching Theodore's ear.
"Because you expected too much," returning to his office chair, he answered.
Georgia, holding her chest with a cool face, glared fiercely at him. She hoped that the goddess finds her a mate that wouldn't reject her. "I didn't, I expected this and I also don't want you as my mate. I accepted your rejection, Alpha Theodore, have a nice day."
Georgia remembered that day as if it was yesterday as she partied with the Alpha she met at the event. She drank to her heart's content, trying not to break down in tears but even as she tried to get herself drunk, she feared her environment.
The Alpha saw her in distress and decided to offer her a ride home but when she entered the car, he took a different direction, persuading her to break free from the pain and surrender to him. He declared that he was more than ready to accept her as his mate even when Georgia mentioned that she had a child.
