Chapter 1 - Ordinary Talent: Persuasion (Legendary-Grade)

Arthur's eyes fluttered open, and he found himself suspended in an empty void. The darkness receded, revealing a familiar sight—a System Panel Screen materializing before him.

[Welcome to the Main Plane registration, please select the option below]

[Traveler]

[Introduction: Free to roam the world by themselves. +Gain a Talent related to Traveler]

[Lord]

[Introduction: Manage a civilization from scratch. +Gain a Talent related to Lord]

It demanded him to choose his path. His mind swirled with confusion, a sense of déjà vu washing over him.

`Huh?'

'Wasn't this event already happened during the beginning of the Catastrophe that occurred on Earth thousands of years ago? `

The Main Plane is a boundless vast place where countless entity was gathered to fight for their survival.

Spirit Race.

Angel Race.

Dragon Race.

Abyss Race

Elemental Race

etc...

Fragmented memories flooded Arthur's consciousness. In his previous life, human race on earth were transmigrated to the Main Plane, and at that time, he chooses to be a Traveler.

Thousands of years later he managed to ascend into the realm of immortality. But right before he ascends to become a True God, his life ended abruptly when the Seraphim Divine Empire's Heavenly Troops of the Angel Race relentlessly pursued him, to eradicate the human race.

Now, standing at this void space. The bitterness of the human race demise lingered within him.

Arthur grasped the weight of his decision. After careful contemplation, he resolved to embark on a different path, to become a Lord and reshape his destiny.

"I choose to be a Lord."

Even though Arthur had never managed a civilization before, he was confident in the experience he had accumulated over thousands of years in his previous life.

Lords would be given a Lord-Talent and a Territory in the Main Plane to manage a civilization from scratch with several basic territory buildings such as Lord manor, Summoning Subject Gate, and several houses.

As for Travelers, they would be given a Traveler-Talent and transported to random place within the Main Plane. But, to increase the rate of safety and survival, they would be transported into a random building in the Main Plane.

As he surveyed his new surroundings, Arthur's attention was fully drawn to the Earth World Chat feature in his UI Panel.

'Wait, is it possible that...?'

Eager to understand the situation, he delved into the ongoing conversation.

InquisitiveDreamer: "Hello?"

LostLord: "What's going on? I suddenly spawned in the middle of nowhere next to a strange building when I chose to become a Lord."

AdventurousSoul: "Me too!"

LightBearer: "Help, I ended up with a Special Lord Talent called 'Church of Light' (Epic-Grade Talent). It is said that this building can summon Paladins for me! Is it good?"

EnvyMan: "Lucky bastard..."

DreamingWanderer: "Are you serious? Did we actually transmigrate into a fantasy world? I thought it would only happen in Light Novels."

Astraboy: "Hello? I chose to be a Traveler, and here I am, spawned inside the grand cathedral of an Empire! They force me to become a Dragon Knight! I thought I can be freely roaming the world? What with this unjustly coercion!?"

EnvyGirl: "Lucky Bastard.."

EnvyBoy: "Lucky Bastard(2)..."

SadFarmer: "What? This is unfair! I also chose to be a Traveler but spawned inside a house in a small village. They didn't offer me anything(T_T)."

RealityFace: "Does anyone know why we are here??"

...

Arthur was finally convinced that he has traveled back in time!

Amidst the realization, a sudden notification caught Arthur's attention:

[Congratulations, you have received an Ordinary Lord Talent, Persuasion (Legendary-Grade)]

Intrigued, Arthur explored the details of his newly acquired talent:

[Lord Talent: Persuasion(Legendary)]

[Group Persuasion: Has a 100% Base Chance Rate to instigate at least 30% up to 80% of the total enemy's group members with the same tier as the Lord into becoming Lord's subjects. Every total increase of 10% will lower the Base Chance Rate by 18%.]

'Legendary-Grade of an Ordinary Talent?'

'What a powerful Talent!! even if it was just an Ordinary-type Talent, its effects could be said to be extremely extraordinary.'

`I have at least 10% chance to get 80% of the total enemy's troops if I'm lucky`

There are two types of Talents a lord can receive.

First, Ordinary-type Talents which consisted of natural skills and abilities that could aid their civilization without any external assistance. The example for such talent were like Persuasion, Leadership, Negotiate, Willpower, etc.

Second, a Special-type Talent which focus and depending on external assistance such as Paladin Temple, Spider Cave, Dragon Nest, etc.

In his previous life, many people with Ordinary-type Talent regardless of their grade, were the first batch of people who were unable to survive alone in the first year of this catastrophe, as most of them found it difficult to develop, maintain, and gather their territory's strength in the early stages which led to their swift demise.

However, in the later stage of large-scale war, when their strength already caught up with any lord with Special-type Talent, they would become the most dangerous people to deal with. even lords who have an army of dragons would be wary of meeting them.

[Please choose the Name of Territory]

Arthur fell into deep thought for a moment and decided.

"Dawn Light"

For Arthur, 'Dawn Light' symbolized a new beginning but also served as a reminder of the pain of his past that he would never forget.

Moments later, five individuals emerged from the gate, kneeling respectfully before their Lord.

"Greetings, my lord," they chimed in unison.

"Welcome, my loyal subjects," Arthur addressed his newly summoned followers with a warm smile. "I am Arthur, your Lord, and I am honored to have you as part of the Dawn Light Village."

~Swooshh

With his thousands of years of experience from his previous life, he swore that he would definitely put his entire life into building this civilization to the point where even True Gods would tremble at the name of Dawn Light.

'Alright, this is my first step in this second chance, I won't let it slip away!'

Behind the warm smile he wore, there was hidden malicious intent towards all of his enemies in his previous life.

'I'll make sure to make all of you bow before my persuasion!'
