[Congratulations, you have successfully raided a bandit camp!]
[Rewards: 12 Spirit Crystals, 143 units of wood, 121 units of stone, 86 units of sand, 54 units of gravel, and 251 units of food]
[Additional Reward: Basic-Treasure Chest]
They collected quite large sum of basic resources, carefully storing them in sacks and crates.
`As expected, raiding is a shortcut to getting resources rather than gathering them at this early stage`
Arthur remembered that at this early stage, it was very painful for most of the lords to gather resources.
However, he succeeded without casualties on either side, and they had even managed to acquire valuable assets to aid in their territory's growth!
As they made their way back to Dawn Light Village, Arthur starts to arrange their place to rest.
Arthur's heart swelled with a sense of satisfaction.
`With this I now have 22 subjects in my Village! with two thirds of them being combatants I might be able to start clearing dungeons in this region`
Dungeons!
Spirit Crystal could only be dropped by monster, and monsters could only appear in dungeons. So, Arthur's next plan was to find dungeons in the Icemoor Region for the source of his Spirit Crystals.
Turning to Garret, Arthur's expression became serious. "Garret, do you happen to know the location of the dungeon within the Icemoor Region?"
Garret furrowed his brow in thought.
"Yes, I do have some knowledge of it, my lord. However, the dungeon was managed alternately by the five bandit camps in this region including me, but since I am no longer part of the Bandit Camp, they must have crossed me off the list."
Arthur nodded, while thinking of a plan. "Alright... I see, tomorrow we will be raiding the Bandit Camp who's currently in charge of managing the dungeon, and I need you to take the lead, since you know the location."
Garret stood up. "Yes, my lord!"
As the morning sun cast its warm glow over Dawn Light Village, Arthur woke up. He made his way to the Summoning Gate, ready to summon new subjects.
[Summoning subjects...]
Arthur activated the gate and summoned five non-class subjects. Even though it was within estimation, he couldn't imagine his luck to be so bad that out of all the ones he summoned, there wasn't a single person with a profession.
Even though he was quite dejected, he would not take it out on his citizens. He then greeted them with his speech and began to arrange their shelters and tasks.
He assigned them to help Alistair gather resources and start building standard houses in case their population increased again.
And as he finished managing his territory, Arthur's gaze was now focused on the Treasure Chest in front of him that he got after raiding Garret's Bandit Camp.
[Basic-Treasure Chest]
[Open? (Y/N)]
`Yes!`
[Opening chest...]
[Gain: Spirit Crystal x10, a Basic Farming (White-Tier) Profession Book]
`An Profession Book!`
[Basic Farming Profession Book] (White-Tier)
[Information: A book that could grant Farmer-Class to a person once used]
Arthur nodded. `Alright, let's save it until I can provide farmland in my territory. `
Due to the snowy terrain within his territory, it is quite difficult to provide the necessary conditions for plants to grow.
`Well at least with the addition of 10 Spirit Crystals, the material requirement to upgrade the Village is almost fulfilled.`
`I'll think about those things later.`
A moment later...
Arthur gathered Amelia, Roderick, and the 10 bandits including Garret, and set out to the other Bandit Camp under Garret's guidance.
As Arthur and his companions made their way to the bandit camp, Garret walked by his side, and reporting all he knew about their opponent's strength.
"My lord, the bandit camp we're about to face houses approximately 30 bandits," Garret began, his voice carrying a tone of caution. "Their leader, known as Jareth, was originally at the White-Mid Tier Bandit level. However, I recently learned that he has made a breakthrough and reached the White-High Tier Bandit strength, same as me."
"Once we meet him, let me fight him for you, my lord." Garret said it with confidence.
Arthur was still calm as he was unaffected by Garret's word. The bandit leader's sudden surge in power and their number was of course a verry important information if they were going to engage in fight, however.
Pausing for a moment, Arthur took a deep breath and smiled as he said. "Thank you for your concern, Garret. However, we're not going there to wage an all-out war, but to raid their camp and seize the dungeon."
Garret was stunned and replied. "I understand, my lord."
As they reached the outskirts of the bandit camp, Arthur's gaze settled upon the number of opponents before them.
`There are more than 50 bandits! `
They were completely surrounded.
