Terrador released a cry of pain, creating a wave of deafening sound that covered the arena.
Morgana tried to cover her ears, but the pressure was enough to hurt her still, making a small drop of blood leak from her nose.
"Barrier!" she exclaimed, producing a force field around her that was visible for a quick moment before turning transparent.
The basilisk slammed its tail on the ground loudly, raising chunks of massive rocks from the earth that hovered above him as if they were levitating. Morgana used that moment to get closer to the monster.
Running straight towards Terrador, she skillfully avoided the car-sized rocks that were being hurled at her with force.
The teenagers, watching the whole thing from the top of the pit, wondered why their big sister would try to get close to the monster when she had no defense. But not to their surprise, Morgana knew exactly what she was doing as she stopped beside the basilisk.
"Black Frost," she said, creating a giant explosion of black ice all around her that was at least ten meters wide in diameter, freezing the legs on the right side of the monster.
Before Terrador could even react to counter, Morgana unleashed another spell.
"Ice Shatter," she muttered, making the frozen legs of the monster burst with another icy explosion and hurling hundreds of ice shards into its body.
The basilisk, roaring in pain, quickly spun around to hit Morgana with its tail, though she had already moved away using her "Blink" skill.
She released another "Curse Fire" attack, hitting the boss in the eye and burning off half of its field of view before she began running around the arena at a frantic speed.
The teenagers didn't understand why she suddenly started moving as if she was trying to avoid an attack when the boss wasn't moving. Still, Ray pointed at the basilisk, noticing that it was contorting its body in a strange manner.
Morgana knew what that meant and kept moving swiftly without stopping when the monster opened its mouth and began spewing poisonous orbs around the area.
The purple orbs blew up whenever they made contact with anything solid, creating a cloud of purple poisonous mist around the impact zone.
The trickster could easily dodge the coming attacks, but the toxic substance was unavoidable as it shrouded the arena and poisoned Morgana through her breathing.
Black and purple marks that resembled thin roots began to appear around her neck as the poison began its excruciating effect. However, the pain didn't stop Morgana as she cast another "Curse Fire" at the monster.
The fight continued for over ten minutes, during which Morgana managed to avoid all of the incoming attacks while retaliating with her own skills.
However, the poison slowly took her life away as the fight prolonged. The purple mist had dissipated, so she thought she could cleanse her body if she could get three seconds without getting attacked.
But Terrador wasn't so complying and kept trying to impale Morgana with the earth spikes that sprouted from the ground at its command.
Thinking about how annoying the monster was, the trickster came to the conclusion that if it was not going to let her cleanse the poison, then she just had to kill him before she died.
With an evil but beautiful smile, Morgana bolted towards the basilisk again.
'Two more spells and I can do it…' she thought as her body moved at a rapid pace until she was a few feet apart from the monster's body.
"Fulminous Blast!" she yelled, generating an electrical current at the tip of her staff that turned into a lightning drill and shot it straight at Terrador's torso.
A gush of blood flowed out like a torrent from its chest. The basilisk, crying in pain, turned his head to look at Morgana with its only good eye, but unbeknownst to the boss, she had already moved to its blind side.
"Flame Surge," she said, pointing her palm at Terrador.
Subsequently, strands of fire began appearing around her hand, spiraling in a vortex that warped the air thanks to its powerful heat and unleashing a massive fire blast that singed the boss' previously burnt eye.
With an instinctive motion, Terrador slammed his tail against the ground countless times in an agitated way, raising earth spikes for tens of meters around his perimeter.
Nevertheless, Morgana had already used "Blink" to get far from its panic-stricken attacks.
'Now, I can cast it…' she thought as she grasped her staff with both hands and stabbed it on the ground.
After coughing blood due to the poison's effects that were still depleting her health, she cast the spell that she had been saving for since the start of the fight.
"Curse: Thunder Wrath…" she uttered lowly.
Terrador, seeing the trickster on the other side of the arena, launched itself at full speed toward her, raising a cloud of dust and debris from its force.
The teenagers exclaimed and grasped onto their clothing with anxiety, seeing that Morgana was still casting a spell without moving.
However, just before the monster could get near her, an electric red chain appeared around its body, halting its movement entirely and pinning it to the ground.
As the trickster raised her gaze, a large arcane circle materialized above the basilisk, and in the blink of an eye, a massive red lightning crashed down on the boss' head, severing it from its body.
While the monster's corpse disappeared, the pit slowly rose up like an elevator to the level the teenagers had been watching all along.
Morgana lay down, looking up, still in pain from the poison coursing her body.
She didn't have any mana left since the "Thunder Wrath" curse utilized all of it, preventing her from casting the cleansing spell on herself.
Resorting to her other option, she opened her Admin window while still on the ground and searched for a few items. Her most potent antidote, the best healing potion she had, and a bottle of water.
