Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: The Assault - I

The man in neat and luxurious clothes was smiling with satisfaction as he watched the chaos caused by his men. The leader quickly walked over to him, leaving Kale alone as the four big men had long since left when the chaos began.

From the stage, Kale found out how the leader of this place insisted on negotiating a matter with the person who Kale thought was the head of this mess. He quickly raised his body to sit down again, looking around where the men of the chaos creator came out of the house of one of the residents with a crying child struggling from his grip.

"Please don't take my daughter, I promise I'll pay, please let me pass this time, sir," pleaded the mother of the child, she looked down and hugged the legs of the big man who was the ringleader's henchman.

There was a desperate look in Kale's eyes. His eyes looked elsewhere, some of them started destroying this place's property intentionally. What made them have to do this? Hearing the brief dialog with the mother earlier, Kale guessed that they were involved in a money-related matter with the man who created the chaos just now.

However, they should not have gone so far as to bring a child as collateral.

Kale's gaze rounded perfectly when he saw a small child fall in the crowd of people running here and there. Kale immediately untied his hands and jumped off the stage, rolled on the ground until he was back on his feet, then ran over to the child who had been accidentally trampled by the people running around in panic.

Kale immediately lifted the child and carried him towards him. "Is something wrong?" Kale asked worriedly. The child just shook his head silently, Kale nodded in understanding and carried him to the stage.

Placing the boy on the stage, Kale told him, "Whatever happens, stay here, okay? I'll settle this mess quickly for you."

The boy nodded weakly in response. Satisfied with that, Kale immediately left him and walked through the chaos to approach the creator of the chaos.

Whatever the problem was between this place and the man who created the chaos, he had to solve it so that all this chaos would stop.

Kale stopped his footsteps in front of the man he was aiming for -- to find himself kicking the Leader who was holding his feet. From the corner of Kale's eye, it looked like the leader of this place was trying to negotiate his way out of the chaos.

Kale liked that leader.

"What is your purpose in doing this?" His question just now was able to create a new atmosphere there.

He was staring at Kale. His gaze assessed from toe to head until he finally asked Kale, "Are you a noble? From which family?"

"I'm asking. What is your purpose in doing this?"

A mysterious smile was printed on the man's face. "I'm pretty sure you have ears that still function very well, little one. From which family?"

Kale gave him a sharp look.

"And I'm also sure you still have ears good enough to hear the question I've already repeated twice." Kale reversed the sarcasm the man had given him. "What is your purpose in doing this?"

His smile slowly faded, and with a flat face that bore a look of annoyance, he turned around. "It's just a poor person acting rich, finish this kid. I have to check the final results of the treasure collection here."

"Sir, please!" The leader emphasized once more, restraining the man in various ways.

Two of his men walked over to Kale who was starting to get annoyed with his behavior. "Get lost, you, little boy!" When the fist had not yet reached Kale's body. He first launched an attack that was difficult for ordinary eyes to see, making one of them fall immediately in shock. Seeing his friend fall without any movement that he could not see, made him immediately launch a leg attack at Kale which was quickly blocked by his hand.

"I have no business with you two." The movement that they could not see with ordinary eyes was again launched. Fast and powerful. Kale slammed his body down in the blink of an eye. Because of his actions just now, he had managed to attract the attention of the Leader and the man.

He turned his head towards where Kale was, to see both of his men fall. Finally, he began to realize that there was something wrong with Kale.

'That kid looks small, he's probably 12 years old. But, defeating a skilled fighter from our family is a bit... Suspicious. Is he really from a certain noble family?'

"Our business is not over yet. Answer my question first."

The man chuckled lightly. "You know, I have no business with you whatsoever." Pointing at Kale, he called out to the six men around him. "Finish that kid for me, he's a nuisance."

'It must be just a coincidence that he managed to defeat both of them.' he thought, refusing to believe the idea that Kale defeated them before they managed to touch him.

Kale glanced at the six large men coming from different directions. "I really don't want to fight more for something like this," he complained with an audible sigh of exasperation.

Foot, hand, head attacks. The three pillars of attack could be judged from their stances, Kale closed his eyes, feeling every movement and heartbeat of the six men.

"Just need to be finished off, it should be easy for a kid like him." One of them said that to him.

Kale opened his eyes. His mind was calm as if it could predict all kinds of attacks for him, the men from the front, back, right, and left had different attacks that worked together to finish him off quickly.

If it was an ordinary person they would not be able to avoid these deadly attacks that worked together. However, he was Kale, he had not only learned swordsmanship in the Moon Clan but also learned the deadly body martial arts of the Three-Eyed Monster Tribe.

A martial art that was not only capable of knocking down opponents quickly through a living creature's weakest point but also capable of killing living creatures quickly through the art of deep power breathing that made each attack stronger than the size of an average living creature.

Kale learned this for nearly five years while living with his adopted family. It was not easy, but it was enough to allow him to kill all those who dared to act against his principles. However, since Chale's death yesterday at his hands.

Kale began to promise that he would never kill anyone. Even though they had hurt him deeply. Kale was too afraid to see the blood of someone he hurt because of his feelings of anger.

- WHUS

The attack began. Everything was just as he predicted, Kale quickly dodged every attack and redirected the attacks to their friends. This created a bit of a gap in their fighting formation, making Kale decide to make his move.

He launched a fist attack to knock down one of the strongest men there, holding back his power from killing him.

Knowing his fist just now did not aff on the fall, Kale began to dodge his counter-attack and approached the other man, making the attack fall on him instead of him.

With such a light step, Kale was able to bend his body to deceive the direction of their foot and hand strikes. Making the attack that should have been aimed at him instead hit their friend, until they finally fell and lost to each other's attacks.

Kale stood up healthy and unharmed. "I win."

- WHUSSS

He heard the sound of a sword pointing at him, Kale quickly dodged. After the impromptu attack had passed him by, Kale turned around to find the man starting to launch sword attacks at him.

That's bad. Kale had only been taught swordsmanship up to the intermediate stage and not the specialized stage, so he was not superior enough to defeat him. Kale also had no idea how proficient this man was with a sword if he had never even reached the specialized stage of sword study.

"Hey, are you a knight? You should know, attacking from behind is not very elegant for us." Kale dodged every attack. He could see that the sword was so sharp when it managed to hit a bit of his skin, Kale was sure it would bleed quite a lot.

Because this man's every move was as gentle as the wind was sharp.

"Elegant or not does it matter now? The only thing I have to do is kill rats like you!" he snapped with a face full of anger.

Kale was annoyed at this. How could this person denigrate a very elegant knight battle? Brother Chale would even stop his dinner if it was related to a sword fight between knights.

How could this person even try to denigrate this very elegant and honorable battle? This could not be allowed. Kale had to give him a little lesson in nobility.

Kale jerked his boot toward the sword until finally the man's sword slipped out of his hand and fell to the ground. "Now I'm upset. Are you a noble? You should know how honorable a sword fight between knights is."

"How could you trivialize the meaning of that battle with your childish attitude." He looked much angrier than before. Kale would not stop talking.

He picked up the sword from the ground and pointed it at the man's face.

"I am Kale. Challenging you, nameless man to a fair one-on-one fight in the arena with me. On the condition that if I win, this territory will be left undisturbed, and all rights for you to take their property will be erased. But, if you win, then this territory will still be yours."

The man added, "And you must be my slave until death."

Kale nodded in agreement. "I accept."

The sword fight in the territory began.
