Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The game is over... a new game is about to start

Xander jumped over the dragon's paw, missing death in this game by an inch. He charged towards the dragon as he brandished his sword, ready to strike it down but the monster won't even give him breathing space.

On the other side, Sandra jumped on the dragon as it focused solely on Xander. She raised her short sword up, the tip facing down and she brought it down, stabbing the dragon.

*ROOOAAARRR*

The dragon roared in pain as it looked at the human on it's shoulder with furrowed brows and it switched attention.

"Finally." Xander said as he charged in to attack the monster but he stopped as he noticed the HP and Mana of this boss.

[Red dragon]

[Three star boss]

[HP: 79,467/80,000]

[Mana: 10,000/10,000]

His jaw dropped totally.

He snapped out of his stupor when an incredibly soft, warm body crashed into his face, forcing him to the floor.

"Oww!" Sandra's cute voice reached his ears.

"Hm? What..."

Sandra was dazed as she felt something beneath her butt. It was warm and kind of... Wait a minute.

Looking down she saw that she was on someone's face. She quickly jumped off of Xander and it looked as if he was in a daze or something.

–200

[Xder]

[One star player]

[HP: 300/650]

[Mana: 520/600]

His hp dropped significantly.

"Haaa..."

Xander jerked awake as he gasped for a large amount of air. He then looked at Sandra like she was some kind of monster.

From his point of view, something hit his face, pushing him and causing his head to hit the floor and that was it. He didn't even have the time to appreciate what met his face.

The pain level of this game is very high. Although it is supposed to make things interesting

*ROOOAAARRR*

The dragon roared angrily as it noticed that the little humans in front of it was ignoring it and put both of it's front legs beside it at the edges of the island as it lowered itself.

The dragon opened it's wide jaws, revealing a terrifying set of sharp teeth as well as a long pink tongue.

Just down it's throat an orange light glowed brightly before a stream of bright orange flames bursted out of it's mouth, towards Xander and Sandra.

"Come on!"

Xander grabbed Sandra and ran to the other side of the island before jumping down... into the lava.

Well, not technically. Xander jumped and stabbed the risen pillar of rock and just above his head a stream of flames blasted away and passed over.

"What?" Xander asked as he noticed that Sandra was staring at him.

'Why do I always get into awkward situations with him.' she thought.

"Oh... Nothing. Let's get back up."

She then stabbed her second sword on the hard surface and used it to pull herself upwards and then Xander followed.

"How are we supposed to beat this thing? It's HP is hundred of mine!" Sandra asked as she came up and looked at the dragon right in it's terrifying eyes. By that time, Xander just finished climbing and walked to her side.

"Well, we just have to keep attacking till it's HP dwindles. Take the right, I got the left. It can't focus on two people at once."

"Right." Sandra replied and then walked to one side and Xander walked to another side.

As two of them charged towards the dragon it roared in response as it raised it's large paw upwards and stuck down.

As it's paw landed on the floor it released a shockwave, sending both Xander and Sandra flying.

As they both flew into the air everything's stopped: the dragon froze and they themselves froze in the air; it was as if time stopped in the whole world.

Xander moved his head to look at Sandra and she was looking at him with the same look of confusion as his.

"What the hell's going on?!" Both of them echoed and that's when the system rang out a loud notification.

[Attention players! The game 'League of Guardians' has been reset and hacked!]

[Get ready to be sent to a different league of guardians, where the challenges will be much... More... Real.]

For some reason, the system stressed those last three words 'Much more real' and Xander still didn't understand it.

Both him and Sandra had one thought, 'I've wasted my time and energy on this boss'.

*Two hours earlier in the real world*

Ciel was going to the ghoulshippers head quarters. The one he met before revealed that their new plan will finally bring the end-time to the now-time.

The sky was dimly illuminated and the silent street which he was going through was dark as well but he could still see despite the darkness as his eyes glowed red like blood.

He headed towards the old abandoned research facility in the town.

Ciel ripped the iron net fence apart with his hands and passed through, heading for the one main building that was in the place.

He remembers the words of that ghoulshipper he met vividly and it has been ringing in his head ever since, "They–They have your wife. They plan to sacrifice her."

He remembered he snapped and killed the guy when he said that.

"Hold on honey... I'm coming." Ciel mumbled as he walked towards the building with heavy footsteps.

...

Inside the building, three hooded people tied up a woman to a pole who had a black bag over her head. From within the bag the sound of a woman whimpering resounded.

The three hooded men then began talking:

"If everything works out... then the leader will be too angry to even call his team and walk straight into our trap."

"Why does the leader want to do it this way? We won't be able to kill that man."

"Well, he needs more time to set up the new game. He needs more mana for that and it will take about a week to complete."

"But today it will complete, right?"

"Yeah. In just a few minutes..."

"In the meantime we stall that man..."

"If!... Freddy did his job right. He must be dead by now, and the boss promised him peace with our Lord."

All of them sighed as they thought of their companion that was supposed to lure the leader of Terrox to their base.

"Let's just hope he falls for it."

As if timing the three hooded people felt a presence outside the doors.

*BRAH!*

The doors of the building bursted open and flew left and right, crashing into workers, killing some and severely wounding some.

A man wearing tight black attire with a cape and a hood came in, his eyes glowing red with rage.

"I'm here for my wife."
