Opening his eyes Xander found himself in his village. The people were no where to be found but in the distance Xander could see a fire.
"What just happened?" Xander questioned, bewildered at his situation.
As if hearing him the a voice from nowhere began to speak.
[My dear players. The game you all know have become real. To put it short, you are in another world where your skills is the only thing that will enable you to survive.
But I don't intend to let you all live, your deaths will be for the greater good, and the Lord will grant you a seat in the afterlife.]
All over the world all the players were surprised. Some thought that the owner of the voice was just crazy some thought that it was a prank but not Xander.
He touched his skin and it felt more that the 100% immersion, it felt real. The air brushing on his skin, his view was even clearer... More than 1040p quality.
"Maybe... That guy wasn't crazy." He mumbled.
*Beep beep*
A beeping sound reached his ears, followed by a virtual game like screen in front of him displaying some information.
[All the players' stats have been reset. Monsters from the level up space have been released into the world and killing monsters is the ONLY way to level up and gain more powerful weapons, skills, and improvium.]
[You can choose to abandon your territory but you will either choose to stay in another person's territory or play as a rogue.]
[But either way, all are still cattle in this grazing field of a world waiting to be slaughtered by monsters.]
The last message gave Xander the chills and he could feel the meaning behind those words.
His thoughts immediately went to the so called 'Superpowers' his dad talked about and he immediately put piece with piece and it was all starting to form a picture.
'Is his group responsible for this?' he questioned in his mind. He was about to dismiss the notification when his eyes ran along a few words.
"Wait a minute, what does the system mean by reset stats?" Xander dismissed the notification and with his mind, he willed the status screen to appear.

He almost fell to his butt as he saw that he was back to square one. His [Health] and [Mana] was even divided by... more than Fifteen... square zero wouldn't be an irony at all.
Xander then expanded his screen and more info came up.
[Inventory - 0 items]
[Skills - none]
[Talents - none]
Xander felt like crying. He felt like he didn't have anything, he felt hopeless and helpless.
'Is this the feeling of being broke?' he questioned.
"Master, the meal is going round, should I bring yours or you'll join us."
Xander turned around as he heard an angel like voice and saw his in game maid 'Maria'. Seeing her made him remember Marie, his mother who his dad said was in trouble.
'I wonder how she is.'
Xander's thought was interrupted by a single beeping sound and a number flashing just beside his eye.
[-1 health]
He sighed as he remembered that he can die if he doesn't eat. If what that mysterious voice said was true... Then he can die for real.
Just thinking about it made Xander shudder. He, who hasn't experienced the so called 'beauty' of the world was now seeing it's dark side.
"I'll come eat with you all." He said and Maria smiled in response and led him to where a rather small group of people was.
Xander estimated that they won't be up to ten, all seated round the campfire that made the dark and lonely night more lively.
"Greetings head." All of the people chorused.
He then realised that there were only two women excluding Maria and seven men there.
Xander said nothing and just nodded. Being called 'Head' was kind of weird. He preferred 'My lord' or even 'Mr president'.
"Nah, don't call me that. My name is Xander." He said, scanning the group of people there before sitting down himself.
"Oh. The rest of the villagers have all gone to sleep, it's quite late. We decided to wait for the hea– Xander, before we ate." A short looking man with a thick black beard said as he finally took a spoon out of the sweet scenting soup.
Xander was about to say something before an icon appeared beside the man and enlarged to be clearer.
[Greg]
[Head blacksmith]
[Rank: One star (Needs more Knowledge about materials and metals to become a two star blacksmith)]
'Oh. I guess that's settled. If the game is now real, that means that the people too...' Xander glanced around warily.
He looked down at the bowl of meat soup that was passed to him. He couldn't help but think whether the food was poisoned or not... If he could trust humans.
[Your subjects will never betray you.]
'Oh. So the system answers questions now. What the f*ck is going on with the game?'
He got no reply.
'Hello.'
No reply again.
He grunted in annoyance before drinking the soup with the spoon that the blacksmith made.
It was brown and frail looking but it was still metal. Xander made a mental note to explore other locations and bring back the best metal for his blacksmith.
He then began looking at all the other people around him one by one and studied their status and everything.
Greg even cracked a few jokes with them and they laughed merrily.
Soon they seperated to their various tents and he went to his. Maria followed him but he didn't mind as he wanted to log out of this game as soon as possible.
When he got into his tent Maria stood beside the low bed, seemingly waiting for him.
Xander ignored this and immediately brought out the log out screen.
[Logout (Costs 1 life stone)]
'What the...?'
He ignored the words beside the button and tapped on logout anyway, but the response he got was...
[Inadequate life stones]
'What is wrong with this system?' he thought as he began tapping on the button in a frenzied manner.
[Inadequate life stones]
[Inadequate life stones]
[Inadequate life stones]
[Inadequate life stones]
[Inadequate...
"What the freaking hell is going on?!'
