Chapter 12 - chapter twelve curious

And by the way,we never shared any type of feeling,so what give you the right to act like that around me,she retorted back and he was silent for a while before answering.

I saw the way you looked at him when you were dancing,I am your mate not him, should I remind you,he said and she scoffed.

Please cut the crap with the mate stuff, and what if I don't want to be your mate, you can't force me can you?,she challenged and a dark flicker crossed his eye.

Don't try anything funny again with me,I may be powerless but I am not a weak human, got that, she said and walked out of the room going back to hers.

ever since he confessed his feelings to her,she had not slept in the same room with him and they kept growing apart.

He was an egoistic man and it was hard for him to accept and own up to his won mistakes,so he still put the blame on her as embarrassing him in public.

The next morning Sefra came down for breakfast,he already knew Kiara won't be there since he was already going to be there so he decided to stop by her room.

on reaching he was about to knock on the door when he stopped himself as he didn't sense anyone presence in the room,he opened the door and searched around for Kiara.

What did she escape?,that's impossible,he said and was about to go out to look for her when he found her already seated at the dining.

What.., how did you get here?,he asked.

I walked, she answered casually with a cocked brow.

You weren't here before,he said and she nodded.

I followed Allen to go buy somethings, she said and he looked at Allen his guard who was standing by the corner nodding his head.

earlier that morning***

Kiara awoke one morning, feeling a strange discomfort in her lower abdomen. Confusion clouded her mind as she realized she was experiencing something unfamiliar—a sensation she had never felt before. Her heartbeat quickened, and she sat up, glancing down at the bedsheet stained with crimson.

Shock coursed through her as she realized what had transpired. As a werewolf, she had never experienced menstruation before. The sudden onset of her period was both bewildering and unsettling. Kiara hurriedly got out of bed, seeking solace in the presence of the guards who patrolled their sanctuary.

With a mixture of embarrassment and uncertainty, Kiara approached one of the guards and quietly explained the situation. The guard, a kind and understanding soul, assured her that it was a natural occurrence for human women and offered to accompany her to acquire the necessary supplies.

As they ventured out into the town to procure what she needed, Kiara couldn't shake off the lingering discomfort. She couldn't help but feel a sense of vulnerability, both physically and emotionally. The transition from a werewolf to a human had brought about unexpected changes, and she struggled to adjust to this newfound aspect of her humanity.

As Kiara returned to their sanctuary, clutching the discreetly wrapped package in her hand, she went back to her room and cleaned herself before changing her bedsheets and laying down, she felt discomfort again and stood up leaving the room ,that was when sefra walked in to get her.

**end of flashback

Sefra's gaze narrowed, a hint of suspicion creeping into his expression. "Something? What is it?" he pressed, his tone firm.

Are you that desperate to know what I went to get?,she questioned him and his cold expression didn't change.

It's personal thou, she added and took a sip from the ginger tea in front of her.

Are you going to toy around with me or tell me where you went to,he said getting frustrated.

Well then,I went to get sanitary napkins, there I told you,she said and Sefra looked confused.

Sanitary napkins,he thought and when he finally realized what she was talking about his ears turned red.

Allen who had his head lowered was also red..how could this woman who was acting all cute and lost with him earlier be this fierce,he thought.

Sefra cleared his throat and pretended as if he had not heard what she said and went to join her, their breakfast were served and they ate with silence, only the noise of the cutlery hitting against the silverware could be heard, breakfast was over and they went their separate ways in de house.

Kiara went back to her room as her tummy still hurt, she stayed in there for a while and managed to fall asleep but was awoken by a sharp pain in her belly, she stood up and went to the kitchen to get something to drink but upon reaching there it started hurting again and no matter how she rubbed it,it didn't go ,she bent down at a corner and sat there for a while when she felt much better, she didn't take the water and went back to her room laying on the bed.

The pain that radiated through Kiara's body was excruciating, surpassing any torment she had ever endured. Severe cramps had taken hold of her, rendering her helpless and pale, as she lay unconscious on her bed. In her weakened state, she was unaware of the concerned whispers that echoed through the house.

One of the guards, sensing the urgency of the situation, rushed to inform Sefra of Kiara's condition. Worry etched deep lines upon Sefra's face as he followed the guard back to Kiara's room. Fear and desperation mingled within him, propelling him to summon a human doctor who possessed the knowledge to ease Kiara's suffering.

Within minutes, the doctor arrived, his expertise promising a glimmer of hope. Sefra anxiously paced the room, his mind tormented by visions of what Kiara might be enduring. When the doctor emerged from the room, Sefra's heart clenched, fearing the worst.

"The pain is caused by severe menstrual cramps," the doctor explained, his voice laced with compassion. "I've given her medication to alleviate the symptoms, but she needs rest and gentle care."

Relief washed over Sefra, knowing that Kiara would recover, yet he couldn't shake off the worry that gnawed at his insides. He couldn't bear to leave her side. As the doctor departed, Sefra silently made the decision to stay with Kiara, tending to her needs until she regained her strength.

Hours turned into an endless vigil as Sefra sat by Kiara's bedside. The room was filled with a hushed stillness, interrupted only by Kiara's shallow breaths and occasional moans of discomfort. Sefra observed her fragile form, his heart aching with the desire to alleviate her suffering.

Unable to contain his emotions any longer, Sefra tentatively reached out, gently brushing a lock of hair away from Kiara's forehead. His touch was hesitant at first, afraid of crossing a boundary. But as he watched her, his concern overpowering his hesitation, he dared to let his fingers linger, hoping his presence could bring her some comfort.
