Chapter 18 - chapter eighteen torn between love and revenge (3)

Just as he opened the door, the one face he didn't want to see came in sight as she slept, she looked really adorable and cute as she slept,he stepped closer into the room and frowned as he saw she was sleeping at the edge of the bed,he moved her in so she was staying properly,he couldn't help but look at her a little longer as he adjusted her hair and then her cherry lips came into view and he couldn't help but lean in,he could clearly hear his heart pounding against his chest as his lips were inches from hers,he soon pressed his lips gently against her and kissed her gently so she doesn't wake up.

Kiara who was deep asleep could not help but furrow her brows as the heavy scent of cigarette hit her nose, she couldn't open her eyes but could clearly feel someone lips on her and it seemed soft and gentle but carried the scent of cigarette on them making the kiss more intoxicating.

She felt she was dreaming and didn't know when she kissed him back, Sefra who felt her lips move froze and moved back abruptly thinking she was awake only to find her fast asleep,he couldn't help but laugh at himself at his reaction when she kissed him back,he touched his lips for a while and looked at her sleepy face before going into the bathroom to take a cold shower.

When he came out,he joined her on the bed facing the ceiling.

This is going to be a really long night,he said to himself.

The next day came and Kiara who had had enough sleep opened her eyes but realized she couldn't move,it was still blurry and when her eyes were clear the handsome face of Sefra came into view as he was still sleeping, she kept on looking at his face and realized she was really close to him,she was about to stand up then she saw that Sefra's hand were bound around her waist.

How did this happen?,she thought and tried removing his hand gently so he doesn't wake up but it was futile as whenever she tried removing his hand his grip tightened against her waist.

In that vulnerable state, Kiara closed her eyes once more, allowing herself to be enveloped by the comfort of Sefra's touch. The steady rise and fall of his chest beneath her cheek brought a sense of tranquility, his presence offering an unexpected solace.

As Kiara drifted back into slumber, her breathing steady and calm, she was unaware of the shift that occurred. Sefra, sensing her surrender to the peaceful embrace, slowly opened his eyes and beheld the sight before him.

A gentle smile curved his lips as he observed Kiara nestled against his chest. His hand, which had once held her waist, now moved instinctively to draw her closer, a protective gesture driven by a tenderness that transcended words.

In the hushed stillness of the room, Sefra found himself captivated by the vulnerability Kiara displayed in her sleep. It was in these moments, devoid of defenses and pretenses, that he saw the depth of her resilience and the fragile beauty she held.

He recognized the complexities of their shared history, the pain that still lingered within her heart. And yet, in this delicate instance, there was an unspoken connection—a whisper of understanding that held the potential for healing.

As Sefra closed his eyes once more, he allowed himself to be consumed by the solace that Kiara's presence brought. In that tender exchange, he found solace as well, knowing that the path to forgiveness and reconciliation was a journey that required patience and time.

In the peaceful realm of dreams, Kiara and Sefra shared an unconscious bond—a glimpse into the possibilities of a future where healing and love intertwined. It was a silent promise, a whispered hope that held the potential to bridge the chasm between their past and their present.

As Kiara's eyes fluttered open, she found herself alone in the bed, the warmth of Sefra's presence no longer beside her. A blush crept onto her cheeks as she recalled her sleepy state, realizing that she had not fully registered their proximity before succumbing to slumber once more.

Shaking off the remnants of sleep, Kiara stretched her limbs, feeling a renewed sense of energy coursing through her veins. She made her way to the bathroom, brushing her teeth and bathing, relishing in the refreshing sensation that washed away the remnants of drowsiness.

Once dressed, Kiara descended the stairs, her footsteps echoing in the empty house. The silence enveloped her, offering a moment of introspection as she took in her surroundings. The absence of others allowed her to embrace the solitude and reflect on the recent events that had unfolded.

As she entered the kitchen, her eyes fell upon a piece of paper placed near the microwave. Her curiosity piqued, she picked it up and read the note that Sefra had left behind. A mix of emotions welled up within her as she absorbed the simple message, "Heat the food and eat. I won't be back for a while."

Kiara sighed, her heart feeling both a sense of longing and a tinge of disappointment at Sefra's absence. She had hoped for an opportunity to discuss their feelings and the complexities of their connection. However, she recognized the need for space and time apart to process her own emotions.

Taking the note as a cue, Kiara followed Sefra's instructions and heated the food that had been left for her. She sat at the kitchen table, her thoughts swirling as she ate in solitude. The quietness of the house provided an opportunity for introspection—a chance to explore her own desires and navigate the intricacies of her heart.

With each bite, Kiara mulled over her conflicted feelings. The memories of her fallen packmates and the pain Sefra had caused were still fresh wounds that demanded healing. She understood the need to tread carefully and allow herself the space to come to terms with her past.

She finished and went to explore the house as she hadn't seen the whole house, she came across the library and was immediately intrigued.
