The fan above me spun... rotated around and around at the same constant speed. Kicking up air and making the room that much cooler for it.
I let out a keening sigh. Let my head push further into the depths of the cushions.

Nothing to do. Nowhere to be. And no one to bother. The house was sparkling clean. Food was prepped and put away. I was done with every duty I could've given myself.

Something dinged softly in the background. It... well it brought me to full awareness. I turned my eyes to the source. Found myself staring at the laptop half open.
It sat to the side, tangled in its cord and with a beeping message.
"Who...?"
I rose my head a bit further and let myself see the message.
