I let the notification fade to nothing. Night was upon me. Silver light floods the lone broken window. And house is peacefully quiet. Save for the bloodied body sitting face down in it's own blood.
I had tried to clean him up as much as I could but well... it was hard to when I was so hungry. I had ended up consuming all of the blood I could... and well the rest was splattered over the floor. It stained the couch, the carpet, even my hands felt slick with blood.
Yet...
"Were you awakened? Given power and use it for- for this of all things."
I gestured wildly to the house. To the rundown lights that sputtered and flickered. The kitchen rotted by stains and food. And the wooden beams above that would fall at the slightest crack.
