Adelia's eyes trailed him incredulously. "What? Why?"
Azel sighed, and she swore she could almost sense his eyes rolling in his mind.
"You see," he began, taking out a small bottle of healing ointment from the satchel with a slight smile, "I intend to place this in your hand, so you can keep yourself occupied for the rest of the day, admiring it, since that's what it's intended for."
Adelia flushed a little, then opened her mouth to retort but thought better of it, and chose instead to purse her lips. "I know what you want to do with my hand," she told him. "I wasn't asking why you wanted me to give it to you. I meant—"
"I understood that, Milady," Azel interrupted as he retrieved a bandage from his satchel. "Unlike you, I don't need to have everything spelled out for me."
