Azel quickly raised his head to meet Adelia's bleary eyes. His hands moved away from her face to clasp her shoulders tightly as he took in a shaky breath.
"Dia…" He called slowly, trying his best not to startle her. "Where… where did you put your pendant? It's not on your neck."
Adelia's body instantly stopped its quivering, her mouth still gaping open as she watched Azel with wide eyes.
"You'll have to take it off—" Azel added but he barely finished before she started to shake her head violently.
How had he known about her pendant? When had she made it so obvious? How… how long had he known?!
Adelia's breath would have started to come out in short pants if she could.
Questions she couldn't even begin to answer flew through her head but one thing was certain;
She didn't want to take off her pendant. She couldn't, not in front of him!
