"First of all, Leon, what do you know about the Unkown? Is there anything we can know about him?"
The attention was on Leon again, who took some time for his answer; his eyes wandered from the left to the right. He looked at nothing, was not nervous, or tried to hide something. It was a habit of his to do this when he was thinking.
His eyes went up and down, left and right in circles, focused on faraway objects and then near objects.
"Since I don't have all my documents here right now, I can only tell you what I remember, and this is no good information. He, she, it, or whatever—for now, I will address the unknown as he. He never uses blessings, talks, or shows anything that could leave hints about him, his origan, or something else. On top of that, we live in a world where all people other than Amon have a body trait that makes them in some way special. We don't know for what we should search; the only thing we know is that he is 185 cm tall, wears a black cloak with matching black clothes, and fights with black heavy daggers."
Amon thought the information was not enough to find out anything about the Unkown; he could be one of the people in his guild and he wouldn't know it.
In the moment they were talking about the dagger, Hiroshi came in with the dagger, in company with Bruna. She was the closest one who surfed. He still saw nothing—not a face or anything he could identify with.
Hiroshi gave the dagger to Björn, who examined it. Personia rushed to Björn, who made it as comfortable as he could for her. She had trouble seeing it properly when Björn, with his tall body, held it; it was impossible for her to reach.
They studied the dagger for ten minutes, and nothing came back. As Amon saw that this would take some more time, he gave his order. "Sitting here and waiting for Björn and Personia to do their job is a waste of time. Leon, take all your documents you have about the unknown; a few of us will take some of them; the rest are going out and getting their information. I don't care if it is gossip, a rumor, a report, a legend, or a myth. Just focus on bringing me information about this unknown."
Everyone already wanted to leave and do their assigned work, or, better said, the work they wanted to do. Amon let everyone decide for themselves what they wanted to do; as long as they gathered information, it was fine with him.
Nevertheless, he still needed to tell them something better. Two of them said, "Victor, you are different; you are responsible for protecting Bruna. The unknown knows that she took his dagger; the possibility is there that he will first of all come to her and get the dagger back. Bruna, you only need to tell Victor when you need to be alone—for example, if you want to go to the shower. I own you more than you think, so don't hesitate if you need anything; you're more than in favor with me."
Bruna already saved Roxanne, Isabelle, and the others during the war; if she hadn't been, Roxanne could have died, and others would have died during the war. He already heard what she did from Jeanne, who was amazed by her blessing and capabilities.
Both of them nodded and left the room. Amon was the last one to leave the room, and Aiko and Hiroshi waited to bring him and Roxanne to their room.
As they walked through the hallway towards his and Roxanne's room, Amon remembered some things that had to be said.
"Aiko and Hiroshi inform everyone in the guild to start walking around with at least two people from the maid squad. The guild members too, and the ones who are still here because of the war in three or more We need to know when he comes here."
Amon understood that the unknown was at a strength where he couldn't think of fighting him; if he would be here, he needed for some of them to come wide awake to report that he was here.
The maid squad were warriors who could fight better than most normal guild members; they were trained by Hiroshi in person regarding the fighting and by Aiko regarding their duties as maids. Some of them came from battlefields or other circumstances where they had never learned how to wash an ink stain out of cloth.
For them, it was easy to walk around with only two people; the rest, however, needed to be in larger groups.
"As you wish, young master, I will inform the maids first, and they will then bring the information further to the others in the guild."
Ordering the people to do so was not a good idea in Hiroshi's opinion; if they got ordered not to go around alone, the people would get in a panic and do some stupid things. But if they are naturally inclined and do it because of some advice, then they will do it without questioning it too much. For the guild members who didn't fall and everyone else, the maids were just normal maids and not an in-house special force that was skilled at everything.
"Perfect, Aiko You will see everything in the shadows. I know that I expect much from the both of you. But after this, I promise to give the two of you many paid holidays." Thanatos felt bad for always letting them work day after day. They needed to take a break, and if the time was right, they would get as many paid holidays as they wanted.
Both of them looked forward to it and started to get to their assigned work without any delay. The sooner this ended, the sooner there were holidays.
"We will take you away now." Aiko bowed as a brood maid should do and dispersed in secrecy together with her father, who had already been gone while Aiko was still busy bowing down.
"Come on, honey, let's go inside."
Roxanne happily walked inside, knowing that she could finally spend much time with her husband together, even if they would read documents all the time. As long as they were doing it together, she wouldn't mind doing it forever.
"Sure darling."
