The Royal Guard began directly, "So which area are we going to take back first?"
It was important; the area that would be conquered first would be very important.
Arthur raised his hand and made a very important point that should not be forgotten.
"I think we should recapture as few territories as possible and go directly to the capital of Verdan. We can't secure these areas. The moment we recapture an area, they can teleport new units to us, and then we would lose."
All present here and those listening through the voice shell understood that it was useless to recapture territory.
Amon put a voice shell to his ear and thought. After considering the opinions of those who were on the other side of the voice shell, he made a decision.
"We will not retake any territories; we will only attack their bases, decimate their enemy masses, and then attack the capital with concentrated force."
Personia looked at the map again and added a few important points.
"However, we have the following problems, namely the castle town of Harbor, the Blugite Mountains, and the Santalia Bridge."
The castle town of Harubor was a castle town on a hill. The castle town was, so to speak, the border to the Bloody Mountains.
The Bloody Mountains got their name from the countless battles that had to be fought to get to Verdan's capital. It was Verdan's most important defense point.
The last point was the Santalia Bridge. The capital of Verdan and the Bloody Mountains were separated by a huge gorge. The Santalia Bridge connected the capital and the mountains and was the only way to get to the capital.
Each of these three places was strictly guarded and patrolled. Without expulsion, one would not even enter the castle town.
Verdan was a kingdom of mountains and hills, and there were few areas of arable land. However, Verdan had many mountains with many natural resources and raw materials. They lived by mining these and buying food, clothes, and other daily necessities from other kingdoms.
Because of the mountains, Verdan had been targeting Silverwood for a long time, and if they took it, they would have everything they needed and could make themselves independent of the other kingdoms.
Amon fell back into silence, and after some time, he came to a conclusion.
"Personia can make items with which you can easily climb a vertical wall without too much effort.
Personia thought; she already calculated everything in her head, thought about the processing steps, and then came to a result.
"It should be possible, but with the current raw materials, I can only make a few. How many do you need?"
Amon thought again in silence and answered after about 20 seconds. "First make as many as you can, but count on at least 4 upward."
It was now clear to all present that Amon was working out a strategy in his head and putting it together piece by piece.
It was not clear from all of Amon's statements and comments what he was planning. Small loose ends they could nevertheless tie together.
Amon, you seem to have a strategy in your head, telling us what you are thinking right now." Vlad trusted Amon and his judgment based on the situation. But knowing what they would have to do was important information. He wanted to know under what conditions he would enter the battle.
"Listen to me; I am planning an attack from several sides. We will divide into two groups. Group A, which will attack first, will attract as much attention as possible. You will first attack the castle town of Harbor and then make your way to the Bloody Mountains. You will pretend to be normal attackers attacking via the original route."
Everyone listened intently. Meng, who was sitting right next to Cedric, could already see a gleam in Cedric's eyes. He had seen that look many times before; it was the look of a man who couldn't wait to move out and fight.
"And then what does group B do? Which takes the irregular route?" Arthure could already guess what Amon was getting at. But he wanted to hear the confirmation from his own mouth.
"Together with the item Personia will give us, we will attack from the gorge. That's why Group A has to attract as much attention and as many soldiers as possible. The moment group A crosses the mountain, or, according to the situation, the bridge, we will attack the bridge from the canyon."
"Once the bridge has fallen into the hands of group A or B, we will attack the town, but from here on, it will be very cruel.
Amon had to mention this point. As soon as they arrived in the capital, they would perform acts of shame that not even the devil himself thought a living being was capable of.
"Everyone who takes part in this mission must be aware that the moment we enter the capital and wage war there, innocent people will die. You will kill people who have nothing to do with all this. Are you ready for that? If not, then stay here and defend the guild."
Amon spoke clearly; everyone must understand this fact. Later, during the fight, it would be too late—either now or never.
"Who is ready to commit sins that no one will forgive us? Raise your hand now."
Several hands were raised; Cedric was the first. "I am ready for anything.
"Vlad and Meng were next. "I have already done these things one way or another. A few more sins won't change anything now." Meng said.
Roxanne, the Royal Guard, Personia, and Jeanne raised their hands one after the other. Until every person's hand was up that was in the room.
Amon spoke into his voice shell one last time and waited for the others to respond.
Every single one of them agreed. Amon was relieved, but at the same time, he was afraid to do all this. But he had no regrets; as a guild master, he was responsible for all of this. For morals and ethics, it was already too late.
He realized that it was too late for morals and ethics at the moment when the first blood was spilled.
"Personia, how long will it take you to make this item?" The tactic would win or fall according to this item. If the item works perfectly and is easy to handle. The tactic would be successful, but if she didn't manage to receive a result, that was not good enough. The tactic was bound to fail, and many lives will then have to vanish this day.
Personia was well aware of the circumstances and made sure to say that a time that was long enough to make tests and create the item wouldn't be too long. Water was no problem; it could be created by Mana or Qi. But food was a problem. If the food rations ran out before they won the war, they would either have to surrender or starve to death.
She calculated how much food was left and how many people were here that had to be fed, and then came to a result.
"Give me between three and five days. This should work."
"Perfect, then it's settled; if nobody has objections, I end this meeting and order everybody to prepare for the war in their own way."
As Amon said, the coats of arms who were present and the royal guard left the room and prepared for the upcoming battle. Amon stayed in the hall, looked at the ceiling, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes.
"Good work, and thanks. I will talk to you guys tomorrow too." Amon removed the voice shell and left the room.
