"You should put a stop to that fantasy in your head. Get your head out of the thick cloud its in," Kane said. He leaned forward and deepened the frown o his face, making the skin between his brows gather and thicken.
"We would not accept a human into our fold. You would be killed off first. Perhaps you think if you make the prince stay in between your legs, you would be spared."
"I don't-"
"Let me finish, human!" Kane yelled and banged his hand on the table.
Zuri jerked a little as she closed her eyes for a second.
"You humans… I don't know what goes on in your heads… and maybe my brother is drawn to you because of the half-breed that he is, " Kane said with a grimace on his face. He was disgusted as his mind drifted to Jaden's mother and the irritation the vampire community felt when the king had opted to marry her and actually bring her into the palace.
