Hera stared at the girl with disdain. Where was she running off to? Running around in the palace like she didn't know where she belonged? From the beginning and as far as Hera could remember, she had hared humans with every ounce of energy that was in her. What the vampire king did to her with a human made it worse and she felt she could kill off all the humans in the universe. The betrayal still stung even to this day.
Eating and sucking them dry wasn't enough retribution for Hera as nothing would ever ease the pain the half-breed's mother caused her. It had made her feel less of a woman – and Hera detested that feeling as she prided herself on her beauty and strength.
"Why aren't you in the feasting room?" Hera asked with a look of irritation on her face. It seemed like the girl in front of her carried some grace that she could not wait to crush.
