Jessica and Jeffery walked side by side as the princess walked him back to the quarters where the humans stayed.
"What's wrong in Transmere? The security seems tense like there's some sort of danger in the air…"
"Oh, you noticed?"
"No, the vampire who received us from the shore told us not to wander about. Like this was not a time for sightseeing and such…" Jeffery said with a light chuckle.
"He was right to have warned you…" Jessica said. "We are dealing with some infections here…"
"Infections?"
"Yes… something seems to be turning the vampires feral… rogue if I must say. They lose all sense of reasoning and have some kind of fluid pour out of their mouths uncontrollably, it's an ugly sight."
"Hmm…and from what I can deduce, it's not only the humans here that are at risk right?"
