He squeezed his eyes shut as the corners of his mouth bent and quivered – he wept.
"Crying would do you no good," Jaden said as he rose to his feet and pulled Merle up by the hand he knew had been dislocated.
Merle yelled in pain. The scream was deafening but there were only a handful of vampires in the room now and no one paid attention to the screams of pain from the human.
"You killed for no cause…" Jaden said. "Why?"
"I- It was th-the deputy mayor!" Merle cried as his voice cracked and broke.
Jaden snarled.
