Death is a mysterious feeling, a feeling that none of the people alive whom you know of are aware about.
It was not just a feeling though, it was whole entire experience.
Many people may think that by dying, all feeling of pain, sadness, anger, fear and more of such would be gone.
But they were all wrong, and Raymond would attest to that. Maybe not when he was still alive, but now that he was in the said situation, he was now thinking otherwise.
All of his senses were gone, in this place of eternal solitude where you are in no nowhere and somewhere at the same time, where time passes by unstably. This is a place where there was only pure darkness, and pure silence. But as for other sensations, yes there are others.
Coldness was the main feeling he could feel, though he could no longer feel his skin and the rest of his body, he was still mysteriously able to feel the absence of temperature.
Another sensation that was lingering to him was weightlessness. He felt like he was floating in some kind of vacuum, not the appliance, but like the outer space, where there was no gravity, no pressure, no nothing.
He knew this feeling because when he was still working at NASA, he was once invited into the International Space Station with the reason of working.
He was allowed to work there for three days, and within those three days were the times of both hell and heaven for him.
At first, he was very excited because after being subjected to their company's provided beneficial training, named 'Weightlessness Training', which was hell on earth for him, he was now finally on the real thing, which was a whole entire level of sensation above the simulated weightlessness training down on earth.
He felt free, he was able to glide and avoid friction no matter the movements he performed, but at the same time, his chest felt heavy all the time, mainly due to the lack of enough pressure within the space station modules.
But in the end, despite his difficult experience of living ourside of earth's gravity for three whole human days was an experience worth experiencing.
And he had fun interacting with all of the introverted austronauts there, he had fun working and bonding with them, despite his first attempt of befriending all of them failing, in just three days he was already able to efficiently work with them.
He talked with them about life, science, life, science, and life. But it was all worth it for him nonetheless.
Those were one of the most memorable moments in his life, this is because on earth, he was barely able to connect with his family back in the foreign country his parents grew up from. He have always been away from his family, all he did was work and spend time with his workmates for his whole life, though never to the point of being able to talk to them about his life. And that is why his astronaut friends were different for him, enabling them to become the closest people to him.
He concluded that the reason why they were so much more understanding than normal people was because they had a lot of time rethinking their human interactions as they live inside their metal box within the emptiness and vastness of the outerspace. In that place, if the only thing you'd do was work, eat, bathroom, and sleep, you would be driven insane. And that is why they also had to exercise their minds along with their bodies, one of these mind exercise was by meditation. They are given time to think about life in general, making them rethink their decisions, predict the outcomes of their actions, and lastly, giving them the time to plan their next course of action. These benefits made astronauts wiser than most people down on the rowdy crowded earth.
(Haah... i miss Eric and Diana, especially David, i should've confessed to him....But i won't even be able to be with him as i was only allowed there for three days....it was a hopeless love)
Raymond gloomily pondered.
...
(Wait! i can think?!)
Raymond inwardly exclaimed in surprise.
(Yes you can)
A voice spoke, but it sounded like it spoke within his head.
(Wha- what the fuck?! Who are you?! And where am i?!)
Raymond asked his questions as he panicked.
He was currently thinking of ways on how to escape from this situation, as this might've been a possible kidnapping in his perspective.
(Child, calm down with the questions, but i am what you humans call 'God')
The voice spoke as it sounded like there was immense pressure, especially when it said the word 'God'.
(Hah?! You? God? HAHAHAHA Are you being serious?! Do you think i'll just believe you?! release me now!)
Raymond demanded to the mysterious voice.
(Do you not recall your death?...)
The voice claiming himself to be God asked Raymond with an imaginary baffled expression.
After processing what the voice just said, all of his memories regarding how he died immediately resurfaced within his seemingly nonexistent brain.
(Wait.....You're being serious... wow.....I was an atheist all my life but now.....I think this just broke all of my worldviews)
Raymond contemplated as his brain struggles to try to find a reason to believe the voice basing everything from how he viewed the world.
(Hmm i didn't expect for you to already submit to that..)
The voice exclaimed.
(Wait! If you're really God then woudn't you've already expected that though?)
Raymond furrowed his imaginary brows.
(Oi child! How dare you question my capability as God! Just because i am your God, doesn't mean i know what your feeble mind will think of next into the future! This was all mostly because i gave and distributed evenly to all of you humans my power of 'Omniscience'! That is why you should be thankful!)
God angrily explained.
This fit of anger made Raymond's soul tremble a bit.
(Oh.....i understand now....ok.....ok i get it....I'm sorry ok?!)
Raymond apologized meekly.
At the end of the day, God was still God with his powers, and Raymond was still a mortal with no powers, so he had to give God a certain amount of respect, despite his inner hatred for God. His inner hatred stemmed from the times when he was pleading for God's salvation for his own little sister who tragically died from an accident.
All this time, during his entire interaction with God, he felt only one emotion, enmity.
However, no matter how much veil he creates deep in his soul, God knows that Raymond has a deep-rooted hatred for him/her. The former chose to not delve into the latter's past during their conversation as to not incite further corruption.
(So what is the dealio here? why am i in your presence? Almighty God?)
Raymond asked with a sarcastic tone at the end.
(Shut up with your fake remarks if you're not gonna be genuine! You ☆☆☆☆...)
God angrily responded to my sarcasm.
(Aye! I know you're angry but you can't just call me shit that i don't know of from your Godly language!)
Raymond replied with a pissed off expression.
(All right let us cut the crap mortal, my business here with you is because i am giving you a Mortic Gift)
God calmed down to discuss his/her business with Raymond.
(Mortic Gift? What's that?)
Raymomd curiously asked.
(It is basically a gift a given to mortals who have gone through a fruitful life but with an unfortunate end, its main purpose is to prevent a soul from falling into the hands of a demon)
God explained.
Raymond pondered for a while as he processes the definition of the new term, until he finally spoke.
(So what you mean by this is by gifting me what i desire, i won't turn dark? Because if i turn dark, i'll become a demon or something?)
Raymond redefined what God said.
(But why are you even giving me something when im already dead? what's the point? are you gonna reincarnate me or something?)
Raymond asked for further information.
(Hmmm, very sharp of you, but yes you are mostly correct, i will be reincarnating you and i will be granting you your wishes BUT as long as it will not break your soul or the world you will be heading to, i am doing this to prevent you from darkening and becoming a demon. Why? because first of all, all souls reincarnate and gets reused, we do not have unlimited souls, and secondly, all souls will go to a different part of the universe and can not go near their past life, and lastly, once a soul dies with many regrets and with madness, it can turn demonic and will plague the world that they will be reincarnated in. And it is my job as God to personally cleanse a soul to prevent it from becoming corrupted)
God further explained to Raymond.
(Wait, but i don't feel any particular emotions right now though?)
Raymond wondered.
(Yes, right now you may not feel much, but the moment i reincarnate you into whatever creature, the corruption will start, your soul has been accumulating a lot of negative energy, and that is why my angels alerted me of your soul, so i had to personally speak with you)
God replied with a serious tone.
(That is kinda scary, but wait, am i the only soul right now that needs counseling from you? or are there others waiting for us to finish?)
Raymond asked once again.
(You are asking for too much, but i guess it is ok since you will forget about this anyways,. But yes there are others like you, but they don't need to wait for you to finish because in the end, because i am 'Omnipresent', i am everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I am counseling all of you at the same time right now, so you don't need to worry)
God answered with an imaginary smile.
(Ok questions done! Let us get on with your wishes! Remember you only have three wishes, you can not wish for more as there are only three, and the wishes will only activate once your will has decided for it)
God wrapped up my questioning time.
Raymond pondered for a bit, thinking of he many possible things he could get from these wishes, and immediately decided.
(Wait I have a question)
He asked before making a wish.
(OK, I assume you won't include this on your wishlist)
God responded.
(Y-yes, thank you, so can fictional objects and worlds be wished for?)
Raymond began asking.
(Hmm....yes, but it still depends if that fictional thing you will wish for is actually true)
God replied with an imaginary squint.
(Then...My first wish is to be reincarnated into my favorite Anime! Naruto!)
Raymond wished.
(Oh that? OK it is Accepted)
*Ding*
God announced and then a ding sound accompanied, signifying the accepted wish.
(What?! that world actually exists?! I won't hold back then, I have been manifesting about this whenever I felt sick of the reality back then)
(My second wish is to be reincarnated with all of my past memories perfectly intact, i want a mindscape library where i can browse books based off of my memories regarding certain concepts/events.)
Raymond continued to wish.
(Accepted, but not with your memory of your interactions with me, only all of your remembered memories from your birth to your death. As for the library part, you'll only be able to access that once your soul is already used to his body, and you also need Chakra to do so)
*Ding*
God accepted but with certain cuts and modifications to his wishes.
(And lastly, my wish is to be reincarnated into Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's body, i want to be reincarnated right after his fight with Kaguya when she betrayed him and fed his lower body to the Shinju)
Raymond made his last wish.
(Hmm, isn't that a little stupid? I will be honest here, if you reincarnate into a body with a soul stll inhabiting it, you and that soul will have to fight over that body for control, and considering he is an Ōtsutsuki, he has a higher chance of beating you with his massive spiritual energy due to his lineage. Even if we say that he is weakened right after his fight with Kaguya, that would only be in terms of physical power, not spiritual power, Ōtsutsukis are much more resilient than you think Raymond)
*Eeng*
God advised Raymond to rethink his decision, the rejection was accompanied by a wrong eeng sound.
Raymond respected God for advising and giving him necessary information that he previously had no idea about, so he cogitated for a while on how he should approach his desire.
After a while, he finally decided.
(My last wish is to replace Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's soul with my soul in his body right after his fight)
Raymond made his last wish with great resolve.
God's imaginary eyes widened in surprise.
(Clever and cheeky, but i'll give it to you)
God signaled his approval.
*Zzzzzztzzzztzzzzzzztzzzzzttzzzz*
After God uttered the word 'you', Raymond felt his consciousness stretching infinitely, like an infinite migraine was befalling unto him as seconds passed, this was all accompanied by a digital static sound that made his experience was worse.
(GAAAAHHHHH)
Raymond screamed within his mind as he writhe in agony.
He was currently feeling pain due to his soul being destroyed and recombined as he was being transported into another universe. It seems that now, he has found out that the feeling of pain in the soul was way worse than the time when his hand was being burned while he was being tortured.
(And remember my child, don't fall into darkness..... it's lonely there)
As Raymond felt his consciousness being spread thin, God's words rang within his mind.
(Lo-----nely-----------huh-------)
That was the last thought that he had right before he lost consciousness.
