Isshiki woke up into a bright day brimming with energy, after a full on 8 hours of sleep, he was now ready to train again, despite him exhausting himself near-death yesterday from all of the ninjutsu and genjutsu training.
Yesterday, he learned the academy three and even tried to use his right eye dojustu. The former succeeded while the latter was still ongoing. Learning how to use his unnamed right eye was a hard thing, but when it comes to his Byakugan, it was much more easier.
He found out that by concentrating a certain amount of chakra into his left eye will let him activate the Byakugan, granting him 360 degree vision, coupled with far distance sight, and yes X-ray & Chakra vision. It was just like the normal Byakugan from the anime, but this time he could see farther and could discern things much better. This made him conclude that this was due to the purity of his Byakugan compared to Kaguya's future descendants' diluted Ōtsutsuki blood.
He also found out that what sets apart his Byakugan from the Byakugans that Kaguya's descendants will inherit, was that his had the ability to read another person's mind, with the condition that he will look straight into that person's eyes.
He became aware of this while he was talking with Jigen about the bandits that nearly got close to the temple when Isshiki was still in coma. He was looking at Jigen's eyes as they were conversing and for some reason, he was able to somehow know what Jigen's next words were going to be, which made him react to Jigen's words at a weirdly fast rate, making Jigen believe that Isshiki already knows what he was talking about.
He continued testing his mind-reading abilities with Jigen, and further found out that without looking into the target's eyes, his ability wouldn't work. Concluding the fact that his mind-reading ability will never work to a blind person. If you are wondering how he tested this out with Jigen, sometimes when they were conversing about regular stuff, he would ask Jigen to cover his eyes, and that is when he concluded that, these weird requests of his further contributed to Jigen's misunderstanding about him, which we will delve further into later.
Another thing he found out when he was trying to use his right eye dojutsu was his large spiritual energy, apparently this dojutsu actually lets him see souls and the nature of souls as long as he puts in a certain amount of Yin chakra to this eye. Meaning, a third ability aside from Sukunahikona and Daikokuten was actually present in this eye.He then decided to call this ability Tamashiryoku, which means Soul Sight, making him able to atleast use a part of this dojutsu's capabilities. As for the name of this eye, he decided to think of it for another time, as he needs and wants the name of this eye as grand as possible.
One time, he used Tamashiryoku on Jigen, and he then found out that Jigen actually nearly neared the amount he has, which made him accept the fact that Jigen is several times wiser than him. The only reason why his spiritual level is above Jigen's was his reincarnation situation.
Another thing he contemplated about was the physical difference between him and the original Isshiki. Because for some reason, he was able to heal up completely in just a matter of 5 days. While the canon Isshiki not only needes Jigen's body for parasitisization but he also took more than a thousand years to recuperate just to finally show movement and revealed himself in the boruto sequel.
But due to his lack of knowledge of this world, for now he just concluded that him possessing Isshiki's body, which he assumes he had a different spiritual energy size, contributed to his healing factor that sped it up to a hundred times the original rate, somehow.
----
For time to time, with Jigen's permission, traveled across the surrounding ghostly town. The village was absoluteky deserted, some buildings were already starting to fall apart due to the lack of maintenance, and that was why this place was great for his training, he was still not starting with the elemental ninjutsu, but despite that, he was already powerful with just his non-elemental ninjutsu such as the Shadow Clone technique, the Substitution technique, and the Transformation jutsu.
And yes, you might be asking, why is it only the academy five plus Shadow Clone Jutsu? Well because those were the only jutsus he could remember based on memorable hand seals, as for the mindscaoe library he wished for, he still could not access that as he was still afraid to touch that aspect of this world, especially when it came to his soul, he hesitated because he was thinking that maybe his soul will still be quite sensitive from the recent soul paim he experienced from being reincarnated. And another reasom for his delay of accessing the mindscape library is in regards to his newly senses connected to chakra, he still needed time to get used to this new ability he had.
----
(I am gonna admit, i did say that i wanted to be reincarnated into Naruto because of the spur of the moment, i got too excited. But one thing is, i barely even remember anything from the series, i watched it as a child and had fun going along with it until the ending of the shippuuden, even though i didn't really understood most of the things i watched. As an adult, i did began watch the shippuuden part once again, but i couldn't really continue watchinf because of the workloads i had back when i was still in NASA, *sighs*)
Isshiki inwardly admitted his incapability.
But he still stood undeterred, he didn't really plan on meeting any of his Ōtsutsuki relatives yet, heck even Kaguya and her two already born sons. So he planned to just train and train and even research on how to acquire more kekkei genkai.
"I guess that is the plan....for now"
Isshiki decided as he stood beside his bed.
He then proceeded to exit his room just to find Jigen standing outside his door.
"Oh Good morning! how you doing?....and whats with the grumpiness? Woke up in the bad side?"
Isshiki greeted the serious looking Jigen.
"I am sorry sir Isshiki, but you now need to leave.."
Jigen declared with an apologetic but desidious tone.
"E-eh?!....uh i mean, i understand...Ok i'll pack up now"
Isshiki reluctantly agreed with a droopy tone.
(Yeah i don't think i could just continue freeloading from him, he might be a kind and generous monk, but i can't keep abusing him)
Isshiki gloomily thought as he packs up with barely any stuff, only some spare clothes and satchels given to him by Jigen.
Jigen saw this with a saddened feeling, but he has already decided that Isshiki was too much of an unknown threat for him, especially after seeing him powderize that boulder yesterday with just his bare hands.
--A/N: in the last chapter, it wasnt just a big rock...--
He knew that if he kept hiding Isshiki here, the chances of the bandits finding them is higher, he is really thankful now that there are barely any bandits scouting these days, but he won't take those chances for granted. He had also thought of making Isshiki his bodyguard in exchange for letting him live here, but he didn't want Isshiki killing any people, as that wouldn't make him any different from the people who chased him out of his own village just for having an incommunicable skin disease.
These decisions were all mostly decided by Jigen with Isshiki's fabricated past in mind, as he knew of some people outcasted by the many going insane to the point of killing people, some even massacred a lot of people based on some accounts from the books he read. He had set in his mind that Isshiki has a high chance of becoming like them, he might not want to just by behavior, but Isshiki has been very weird lately, with him occasionally laughing by himself when there is nothing really funny, or the times when they were in a conversation and Isshiki would say something that Jigen has already thought of saying.
He was already forming in his mind the fact that Isshiki might've become mentally deranged from all the sufferings he might've experienced as a child in his former village, especially in his fleeing from the village when a wolf from the forest ate half of his body, leaving him in the middle of a rocky flat terrain as he suffers all alone. In her false conclusion, Isshiki was not only a possibly-unstable but also a certainly powerful possibly-mentally unstable individual, which left him no choice but to succumb to his unremorseful rationality.
----
By the time Isshiki was already done packing up, he was invited by Jigen to a last meal, before he completely leaves forever. Isshiki ate his fill without talking with Jigen, he thought that conversing with him before he finally leaves forever woud be too sad, so no words came out of him during his meal.
Jigen also thought the same thing with Isshiki, so during the whole entire last meal, he never tried to break the tension like he did before.
More than 2 weeks were the time they spent with each other, it wasn't long but it sure was fruitful. And through this short amount of time, Isshiki and Jigen had considered each other as friends. Undeniably at first both of them were wary of each other, but as they spent more time with each other, they became close enough.
But not close enough for Isshiki to disclose about his situation.
But this is what he thinks is for the best for the both of them, because aside from Jigen's fear of the unknown variable Isshiki is, he had actually caught hold of an information from his own paid-for spy from the village nearby the main base of the bandits who told him about their change of movements and intentions, and their connections to Isshiki.
----
After the delicious meal, Jigen led Isshiki to the front of the temple.
"It has really been a fruitful 2 weeks since you came here Isshiki-san, but i apoligize since our time with each other couldn't be longer as i have many much bigger priorities..."
Jigen politely bid farewell to Isshiki.
"I really apologize if this might've been too abrupt for you, but it is of utmost importance that you leave this place now... and so for the last time, farewell Isshiki-san, and may the gods bless along your journey"
Jigen added as he bowed to Isshiki.
"Ye- yeah, i'll say the same to you Jigen-san, you have been really kind and generous to me, a random dying stranger you found by chance, i'll promise that i will also do the same if i ever encounter another person with the same situation as me back then.....so goodbye Jigen-san! Be careful of the bandits....."
Isshiki also bid farewell to Jigen.
After bidding his farewell, Isshiki began walking down the stairs of the temple towards the town' east gate, but he then turned around to say his another word.
"Oh and don-"
But his words were cut short by Jigen's sudden last words.
"Oh and sorry for the late relay, but just a few hundred steps east is the nearest safest village you could ever find in this region, so if you continue walking from the east gate of this village, and through the forest, you'll find the village. And don't worry as the main base of the bandits is in the opposite direction, so the chances that you'll encounter them is low, but if you ever do...."
Jigen told Isshiki of the directions to another village, but at the end he wanted to add something but just decided to not continue.
"Don't worry Jigen-san! I'm very strong now! If i get more strength i'll come back here to wipe out those nasty bandits!"
Isshiki declared to Jigen.
These words made Jigen stop from walking back inside the temple as he then turn around to find that Isshiki had already gone down the stairs.
"So make sure that you will survive till i come back!"
Isshiki yelled his very last words from below the stairs of the temple, which made Jigen stop to laugh politely as he goes back inside the temple.
If you are wondering why he didn't use his Byakugan during their farewell to read Jigen's mind to find out why Jigen rushed to kick him out of the temple, it is because he already knew since yesterday about the possibility of a huge bandit scouting in the temple when he accidentally overheard Jigen talking to himself in his own room. Jigen wasn't really talking to himself, he was talking to his spy about the movement of the bandits.
Jigen has a wide network of hired spies and some assassins, he had the power and money to hire these individuals because of his inherited wealth gained from the temple, of course after all the other monks were killed and kidnapped, thhe money and treasures that the bandits couldn't find became his.
And another thing he learned was that Jigen thinks that he [our MC] has a certain connection with the bandits due to the fabricated past he told Jigen. Jigen thinks that the spies were employed by Isshiki's 'hometown' with the intent to kill Isshiki. Obviously, Isshiki knew that this wasn't correct since he just made that up on the spot to make Jigen think that he is a normal native of this planet. Though unbeknownst to Isshiki also, Jigen already had an inkling that Isshiki wasn't a normal human at all. And so with all the misunderstandings aligned, Isshiki decided to investigate the bandits to find out what made Jigen think that.
And lastly, the last thing he overheard from their conversation was about Jigen's plans to take revenge against those spies, which he has been concocting and operating for over a year now with the help of his many spies that were working within the bandit base.
And with all of the said information in mind, Isshiki travelled towards the eastern village to plan out how he will pay back his debt to Jigen, and of course, it is by saving him from the wretched bandits.
-----A/N: Guys i have rewritten this chapter because i found it inconsistent with the future chapters.-------
