Sam delved into his memories with his priorities arranged, ready for the first three presents he would receive and their mystical abilities.
Sam again found himself in the void where the Dragon God was caged, which was still filled with only darkness, not even a speck of light able to reach such a place.
' Why am I back here? How is this related to the three objects he will gift me?'
Sam wondered if he was truly reincarnated for a second, but then he quickly pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind since he was sure he just delved into his memories to check on the three gifts.
For some reason, Sam disliked this place and didn't wanna visit it again.
The moment he felt the void enveloping his body again, it instantly reminded him of the feeling of dying he felt after the Dragon God casually dismantled his head from his body, which is something he didn't wanna experience ever again, no matter the consequences or the price.
Before his thoughts would get worse and start developing unnecessary emotions, two massive glowing reptilian eyes appeared up in the distant void, accompanied by a voice that was familiar to Sam by now.
" This is just a mere memory, and I'm not real, so don't ask any questions and just hear me out." The dragon god spoke as an object appeared a meter away in front of Sam.
" Eyes of Reality is gonna be your first gift, which will be of more help to you the stronger you are."
Sam kept his mouth shut since this was just a memory, and then, he heard a voice coming right from behind him.
" Elobrate, what are their abilities, and how can I use them."
Sam turned behind him since he recognized that voice even more than everyone else in the world.
As he gazed upon the figure before him, it was evident that the man had a well-maintained physique, likely the result of consistent workouts. His short black hair and eyes stood out against his baby-like face, which lacked any facial hair.
Although the man appeared to be naked, there was a mysterious aura around his body, as if he were wearing invisible clothing. It was an otherworldly sight, perhaps bestowed upon him by the dragon god who had transported him to this place.
The person that Sam was looking to was none other than himself before he descended into the world of Cardica.
' Oh, this is interesting. A reflection of me, huh? This is probably something we spoke about, but it got deleted from my memory after I descended; I wonder why that was. Couldn't he just hand the gifts with some notes left and be gone?'
As he was swimming in his thoughts, thinking about the reason behind the dragon god's actions, he heard the answer given to his old self.
It looked a little weird to him that he was looking and listening to himself, but he quickly got used to it after he calmed down and remembered that this dragon was a god and not just a mere mortal like him.
" The Eyes of Reality have several abilities; each one will only be available after one breakthrough, which means that all of its abilities will be available at the ninth realm, that's if you ever reach it, of course."
Sam nodded and waited for more information.
" Unfortunately, I cannot give you any information about its abilities, or else both of us will suffer a fate worse than death. But I can tell you this much, the moment you place them into your eye's sockets, the first ability will be automatically available for you since you are basically in the first realm, and keep in mind, the stronger you are, the stronger the Eyes of Reality become."
Sam frowned from the memories after he noticed that the dragon god provided him with almost zero information about the abilities and how to use them; he only told him minor things that even he could have found out with some time.
But even then, he didn't complain and only stood there emotionlessly.
The present Sam, on the other hand, that was watching this memory, couldn't help but roll his eyes, expecting such an answer.
' From the moment I was sent into that dangerous spot without any warnings, I knew that this god was as much as helpless as me. Literally useless, but at least his gift is really something to be reckoned with.'
His eyes were locked on the grey pair of eyes hovering in front of him.
' Everything related to eyes in those novels is something beyond overpowered; I really hope this is the case for these eyes of reality.'
He didn't wait any longer since he realized that the conversation was over and quickly pocketed the eyes in front of him, ready to go back to the real world. Yet then, he remembered something as he hastily asked, only to find out that his old self beat him into it.
" What about my other two gifts? I don't see any."
" Oh, those, you will get both of them the moment you reach the second realm; this is only for safety measures. Giving you three items like that while you are still that weak will certainly be felt by him."
" Well, it should be fine since all you have to do in the first realm is... Oh, almost told you how a dragon usually ascends to the second realm by mistake, hahaha. Now go on your way."
" One last thing, I was just sent a message from my future self telling me to inform you about something; your egg will spawn randomly in the world; it all depends on your luck. One thing you should remember, be as far away as possible from any city or gatherings since all of them are threats to you without any sufficient strength."
Sam snorted,' Your warning is late, and humans already caught me.'
His eyes went dark, unable to see anything, only to open the next moment to notice that the people Derek was waiting for were already there.
At least, that's what he thought at first.
' One guy only? Didn't he ask for a team and a mount?' Sam grew a little confused as he gazed at the old man looking at him with a dangerous gaze; a chill ran down his spine the moment he met eyes with him, and even his body that was under drugs uncontrollably shivered.
