Toby Spider raised his fist, indicating, "Did they really teach you to use this to solve problems?"
His face looked somewhat odd.
Mark jumped out from a hole, appearing on the dilapidated roof of the rundown church, watching the Green Goblin II flying in the sky without looking back. He said, "Of course!"
"But using fists to solve problems feels a bit strange," Toby Spider also stood beside Mark, looking at his own fist.
"Do you know, there's a great educator who once said something similar to what other Spider-Men have told me," Mark continued to observe Green Goblin II's appearance, analyzing his equipment and strength, as he spoke.
"What did they say?" Toby Spider grew even more curious.
"Confucius said: "If a man in the morning hear the right way, he may die in the evening without regret." Mark explained.
"The golden rule guy? What does that mean, though?" Toby Spider asked.
"It means, if you know the path to your enemy's house in the morning, you can go eliminate them by evening. It tells us that dealing with enemies should not show any mercy or delay intentionally, as delay can lead to unexpected changes." Mark said earnestly.
Toby Spider suddenly realized as he replied, "Oh! So that's how it is. His words are good."
Mark thought for a moment and then said, "If you're interested, you can also read his one of his works, called 'Swing Language'."
"Swing Language?" Toby Spider pondered, then said, "I remember seeing a book called 'Analects' before, does it have a connection to this?"
"Not far off, one is about convincing with reason, the other with virtue," Mark explained.
"Oh!" Toby Spider finally understood, deciding to find time to read "Swing Language". He thought that Mark must be so powerful due to often reading this "Swing Language".
Little did Mark know that Toby Spider was actually fooled by the casual nonsense he came up with.
In reality, he had been evaluating Green Goblin II since his appearance.
He found it strange, why did Green Goblin look so "green.". Like literally.
It wasn't just the issue with the Green Goblin suit; even his eyes were green.
It seemed eerie.
But, while the eyes could be explained by some high-tech lenses in that part of the visor, the obvious green on the lower half of the face revealed under the half-helmet couldn't be explained with technology.
Was it make up? He think not!
"This Green Goblin drank the Green Goblin serum!" Mark was slightly surprised as he came to that realization.
The direction of the plot was even bigger than he had estimated.
Because one don't underestimate the Green Goblin.
This guy is one of Spider-Man's formidable enemies.
Not only does he have high-tech equipment, but he's also been enhanced with a variant super soldier serum.
A combination of internal and external strength.
The Green Goblin Junior in Andrew Spider's story even caused the death of Spider-Man's first love!
After this, Mark planned to find an opportunity to go there and try to save that version of Gwen.
"Spider-Man! You sewer crawler!" Green Goblin immediately roared angrily at Mark, who had come out first.
However, his roar was abruptly cut off.
Because he saw the second one.
"Why are there two Spider-Men?" Green Goblin Junior mind couldn't process it for a moment.
Boom!
Two mechanical tentacles shot out from below, one on the left and one on the right, trying to grab Mark and Toby Spider's feet.
He didn't want to waste time catching up with old times with Green Goblin and them.
Quickly start the fight, then pull the battlefield away, that's the way to go.
Sensing the danger, Mark and Toby Spider jumped away instantly.
With the fight starting, Green Goblin's brain, filled with alien emotions, immediately pushed all questions aside.
He swiped his hand, and a row of arm blades appeared on his arm, while the glider under his feet started accelerating.
In an extremely short period of time, the glider's speed broke through a hundred meters per second. Green Goblin almost turned into a streak of extreme shadow, rushing towards Mark.
Mark was somewhat speechless.
Is it because I came out first that they're targeting me?
Thinking this, Mark's actions were not slow.
Mark didn't make a big move, just casually kicked up a broken piece of wood by his foot and hurled it at Green Goblin.
Harry Osborn swiped his hand, splitting the wooden board in half.
But this wasn't Mark's main goal.
As the wooden board shattered upon being struck by the rapidly moving Green Goblin. It immediately turned into flying debris. Despite having lenses protecting his eyes, he couldn't avoid the momentary obstruction of his vision.
Seizing this opportunity, Mark leaped high and performed a sweeping kick mid-air.
This was the result of Mark's rapid mental calculations, using Green Goblin's speed and his own leg-sweeping speed as variables.
Just as Mark anticipated.
When his leg completed a 90-degree sweep, Green Goblin appeared right in front of him.
Smack!
A loud sound, and Green Goblin was swept off his glider and crashed into the nearby sea.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Toby Spider had already started battling Doctor Octopus.
The cunning Doctor Octopus used his first two mechanical tentacles as a feint, while he had another hidden.
Taking advantage of Toby Spider's dodging motion during the first attack, the hidden third tentacle struck, grabbing his leg, pulling him into the church, and then delivering a barrage of blows.
As the battle temporarily ended on Mark's side, he happened to see Toby Spider being thrown out of the church.
"Hey, buddy, need help?" Mark shouted loudly.
"Oh! I'm fine, I can handle it!" Toby Spider responded from mid-air.
Seeing him still energetic, Mark felt relieved that nothing serious had happened.
Toby Spider extended his hand, using his web to stabilize his position, reaching a nearby utility pole.
Then, he grabbed the pole with both hands, executed a 360-degree swing, changing his direction from backward to forward, flying back toward the church.
Splash!
After calling his glider underwater, Green Goblin used it to return to the surface.
He breathed heavily, looking at Mark.
The cold seawater had calmed him slightly.
Through the intense battle just now, he realized that his lack of combat training made him no match for the Spider-Man before him.
So, he decided to use his advantage and create distance to launch attacks.
With this in mind, Green Goblin retrieved several dart grenades.
The appearance of these dart grenades was similar to pumpkin grenades, but they didn't contain explosive material and couldn't detonate.
They were loaded with tracking devices inside and had automatic target-locking capabilities.
Once thrown, the outer shell would partially shatter, revealing sharp alloy blades that spun at high speed, creating an extremely sharp cutting effect!
Moreover, due to their rotating flight, they made very little noise, making them ideal assassination tools!
